No one has to apologize about whatever tools they want. I usually buy something when buying the tool is less then the cost of hiring someone to do it. I have used both the paslode framing and finishing nail gun. I framed out a 2700 sq foot basement. It was beautiful. Someone stole both of them. I still have deep ugh in my heart. I have put in three pretty large privacy fences since. The compressor can run on a good 100ft extension cord. I have also got a Harbor freight generator which with their framing nail gun cost around one paslode gun. It never misfired and it worked. The advantage to me was not having to go to hardware store and hope they had air cans. I also figured the generator was free since I saved the contractor cost of putting in the fences. It has come in handy for power outages etc. There are always ten ways to get the same results.
Well said about buying the tool vs. labor! That's where we go often.. buy a tool, gain experience, and save money or pay someone to do it. For as much as we can (or as long as we can) we will go the DIY route. :) I'm sorry to hear someone stole your tools, that's terrible!
I just threw a Paslode nailer in the trash after having it repaired for the 3rd time. XP could stand for experimental pistol. Keep up the good work. I’m glad I found your channel.
I got about 2 years before my 325 started jamming. The weird thing is that it would only jam using the Paslode brand nails but worked great using an older box of Hitachi nails or Grip-Rite nails. The paslode nails would get stuck between the sliding mechanism so that when you pulled back on the knob the nails would move with the slider. It started jamming especially with the shorter Paslode 30 degree nails. Paslode offered to repair it for no cost to me but I couldn't spare the down time and switched to off brand nails. Not sure I'd buy it again but while it worked, I loved it!
Amen Brotha! I just ordered mine last night after long debate. I had a neighbor with an older model that is still throwing nails some 13 years later like new. Gas last a long time and it is dependable. I am a Paslode fan forever.!!
Glad you gave it a good review because I just bought a barely used one and got it for $120 . I am a handyman / diy and it will last me a life time. Cheers Sam ... you had me worried when I saw your title but I have always known that Paslode is a reliable and awesome framing nailer. Thanks ! :-)
From 1989-1992 I worked for a small successful company mainly building decks and fences. The owner was all about high quality tools. The Paslode cordless nailer made so much sense, especially for fences. There was a problem though. The gas cartridges failed often due to having been stored and exposed to high temperatures. At least that is what we were told. Once they figured that out, we never had any problems.
Ahh, very cool! I may be helping a family member do a fence in the future and this would be very handy for that too! Good to know re: cartridges... I guess that's what their "all season" fuel is now for. Thanks!
I have, absolutely, zero need for one of these, but thoroughly, enjoyed your review. 😄 I can see the value, to someone who has a use, of the freedom and mileage it offers. Dude, you are network material. 😂
Hey Samcraft help me out. I have had Bostitch framing , Pasload finish both in pneumatic over the years. Was looking into Pasload for years but never jumped into cordless. Now looking again but swaying to Metabo and now Ryobi More at Ryobi. I’m semi retired so very limited work. I like my tools . You still sporting Pasload ?? Have they improved anything on the nailers ?? Thank you
I have an early Paslode air nailer that is really heavy, compared to the newer stuff that still works. Drove nails into old oak barn wood. I never saw a purpose for getting one of this type because I had many other uses for my other air tools. Also had a really nice Paslode decking stapler that someone else wanted for free.
I have paslode and battery nailers I prefer the paslode driving power over the all battery nailers only downside to the paslode for occasional users is the gas cartridges have an expiry date so for an occasional user they probably would be better off with the all battery version, I wish our tool prices were as good as the USA in the UK we pay half as much again for our power tools great channel keep up the good work.
Great video, I happen to work for Paslode. This tool is super simple and easy to maintain. You bought a proper framer for your needs. Make sure you register it for the 2 yr Service Promise. We will take care of you for 2 yrs no questions. Each gas cartridge will shoot up to 1200 nails. The lithium battery will shoot 9000 nails. You shouldn’t have to worry about cleaning until after 100,000 nails. You can clean it in 15-20 minutes yourself. You bought the best hot dipped galvanized nails on the market. Thank you for your business!
I've been pleased with it for sure. Used it to frame and install a new roof on our home and never had one jam nail or issue that was the fault of the tool. Very happy with the outcome. If interested, that whole project is over on my other channel called Green Acre Homestead. Here's a link to the roof project playlist: ruclips.net/p/PLxVjeL1ZEeUqMFjoevAv5VLpzoHKO15yh
I actually work for ITW Paslode in Norway, as you say; best nails on the market. Heard that from so many users the six years i’ve been selling it. But god i wish we had the Tetragrip for subflooring here as well..
I have a 19 year old Paslode framer and galvanized nails. Pulled it out of mothballs...installed a new cartridge bushing .... nails are still perfect and fun works flawlessly. I called Paslode a couple of times for some guidance. They pick up the phone on the first ring. Great folks. Going to pick up the trim nailer soon. Butane cylinders with an expiration date? No worries I agree on all points with Sam.
I am a contractor and have both paslode nailers framing and finish and use them very little I still like my air nailers and my corded saws for any sizable job .....I may use them on a quick job
I have the original black paslode impulse.. it’s over 25 years old probably 30 and I still use it.. you can still get the batteries.. it’s still a hell of a lot lighter than the Milwaukee battery nailer.. you’ll ha e fun with it.. a pleasure to use..
Awesome! I used it to put a new roof on our home and it never once jammed or mis-fired. It's a beast of a gun, too! I'm very pleased with it and happy I got it. :)
I've had paselode framing and finish nailers for at least 30 years maybe longer and other than regular maintenance.ive never had a problem ....great tools.
I'm officially, sufficiently convinced that this was an essential purchase, and it was kinda a "2-fer" bc you gave me some ideas about how I can convince myself to make an essential purchase to replace the batteried nailer that I purchased only to have it arrive and crush my hopes of becoming Bob Vila (circa 1989.) Oh well...as a fellow deal finder, I'm sure you're acquainted with that frustration. Win some, lose some. Lol Thanks for another great video. You were born to entertain, man. Question...how's the evolution of the dust collection? I'm considering a similar concept to yours with the outside deal and would love an update. Looking forward to the next installment of Samcraft! Thanks for the great content!
Glad it was helpful! I used the nailer just yesterday to repair a small walk bridge we have at our home. It was dang handy! The dust collection hasn't changed any since I put the system together in that video, to be honest. My free time is low in the warm months and I find myself in the workshop much more in late Fall & Winter. I've considered my dust collection setup often and am thinking of mounting the shop vac under my workshop floor outside. I'm lucky in the sense my workshop is built on a hill and the floor is elevated off the ground. There's between 4' and 2' of clearance down there -- that's where my air compressor is located and I've loved that move! I'd mainly want to move it for the noise factor, and to gain that much more floor space in the shop. Keep at it, and you'll blow the socks off ole Bob in no time! 😂😎👍
@@Samcraftcom Glad your nailer is all you'd hoped for! Mine shot ONE nail before dying, even though I spent many hours of my life I will never get back trying to resuscitate it. I am confident in saying it's a common design flaw, bc when I wrote to the manufacturer, they immediately wanted to dispatch a replacement. I replied, and told them that I'd accept that without any qualms if the person to whom I was writing would unbox the unit being sent to me and test it before putting it in the mail, or at least arrange it with an appropriate department. I didn't think that was unreasonable, but they werent about that life, so I accepted the refund. (Thanks for nothing, VonHaus!) I could go on and on about this, but I will stop there bc I got other things to say... Thanks so much for your reply! Made my day, really. It's kinda funny, and although I'm sure I could speak for many, "let the record show" that I'm strictly speaking for myself when I say - as a viewer, I spend so much time with "my" RUclips content creators that they are celebrities in my mind, and you are certainly a chief among them! That said, as far as proximity goes, we are neighbors. Although I live in VA and would rather walk on my lips that make a political reference, I can see North Carolina from my house. Lmao hey neighbor! I'm also a part of the Mobile Home Residents Alliance and Farm Bureau, which is just my fun way of saying that I, too, live in a trailer, a permanent setup on my little piece of the family farm...but I call mine "alumiminium". :-P Laughter is not only important, it's essential to survival for me as I try to navigate life and the bully it sometimes proves to be. Your commentary is golden, my friend, and often makes my days a little easier to get through. I also enjoy the "other" channel (lol) a lot, am a subscriber to/fan of both, and I particularly enjoy the parts pertaining to mobile home maintenance (though the Alumiminium has rarely been so lucky, more on that in a minute), but I have to say that imo, your humor seems to flourish when starring in the one-man show called Samcraft. I would imagine this is knowledge you already possess and the creative outlet it provides is probably it's point of origin, but I guess I'm just tryin to say it ain't lost on me, man! I'd love the opportunity to pick your brain, or even just talk if you're craniotomy-shy, about the installation of a) a structure like your shop and b) a door on the Alumiminium. I'm headed to rewatch the video about the shop, and the door thing...I want to relocate my front door, and I seem to recall the installation of a new front door on the homestead. I'd love to do a roof-over or an add-on, but that just isn't in the Alumiminium budget, so the only thing that keeps me from accepting the solution of interchanging the functions of my bedroom and living room is the point of entry. (What a sentence!) This is a change that would be life-altering for me, so if you should ever find yourself with the time and willingness to engage in an email conversation about such a thing, I'd surely appreciate it. If not, I'm still a fan! I apologize for the length of this reply-to-a-reply-to-a-comment, but I'm almost done! Lol On the real, a large and overdue thanks from me to you and your family for all that you guys share. Life-enriching-labor-tainment! I find it refreshing and inspirational to see a life lesson about the value of appropriate vulnerability in the digital age being taught to future men. Thanks for the joy, man! Loved the video and that new toy / tool should serve you well! Now what is the project?? LOL Just knowing you will find more and more to do with your newest tooltoy!
Everyone one has bought tools they could do without, sounds like you have just done that. I usually try to make it up by selling more products but a new tool is always good
I have one that I have used for years and it is great, not one failure, not one jam, ever. I have all type of air tools too, so far so good on all of them.
It's nice to not have to bring all that extra shit out of the truck to do some quick work. And when there is no power these things pay for them selves.
Whatever happened to the good old Dalluge hammer. I have a brand new one and can use it just as well as you will with that Paslode you just purchased. Actually, I enjoy swing a hammer as I am about to start a new project in my back yard. A new wood working shop. Yes, I have an air operated Paslode nailer.
Sam, you needed to watch these guys and they would explain what you really want while they put these nailers through their paces. The Paslode was high on all their lists but ALL settled on OTHER brands. Especially watch TheCrazy Framer. HE will show several brands put through their paces but cordless is not exactly what he has converted to entirely. MattBangsWood Is a really heavy framer (but a piker compared to the Canadian) and HE uses cordless wherever possible and Paslode is not on his list. RRBuilders is a HIGH Price endorser. Whatever costs the most - he's all for it but he do know his job. Too late .. but give them a look - you'll love 'em. (They're all on RUclips). LOVE this video.
🤣🤣🤣🤣 if I had a Harbor Freight next door to me or close to me I would have bought one at Harbor Freight and I would have bought a compressor a portable one with the nailer way much cheaper but whatever floats your boat I really enjoyed the video it was real good.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Paslode are the first cordless nailers on the planet and still the best once they are serviced and looked after I see the 10 years and older still going and wait till the all batterie nailers break down and see what they cost
Just get a battery framer, you only need to charge the battery... I have had a Passlode for over 20 years and has probably sat on the shelf for 18 of the years... The fuel tubes are ridiculous and a pain when you’re in a middle of a project and you run out of fuel… Now you have to go to the store, hopefully they’re open and hopefully they have fuel tubes… And it is constantly miss firing, Wasting more fuel... Then you still have to charge the battery… So why not just get a battery gun and illuminate a hassle with the fuel.
My sisters fiance got 2 of them from Lowes at a discounted price for opening a business account. He got both half price and because he does roofs they easily pay for they cartridges. Not for everyone but has its place.
Lol naaahh you got it because is say xp lol men you funny was laughing so hard and I was using my headphones and my mother is passing by and tell me if I was crazy lmao.
Dude when I seen worst review ever. I was like well guess I spent my last 20 bucks at goodwill on a piece of junk of course mine was made in 2009 but it came with everything needed except the safety glasses and a fuel cell I was like whatever will see if it works sure enough best 20$ I’ve ever spent at goodwill. They had another one for 8 bucks but didn’t have the teeth that compress the trigger mechanism didn’t have a charger or a battery so I bought the one that was 20 Bux hell now I’m walking around town with the paslode on my hip ladies are now walking by licking their lips.
I love my paslode. Bought it for putting on a new roof on our home -- worked great. Have since used it for a few things here and there, until recently. I'm building my new workshop with it and it's still been great!
Paslode makes unreliable garbage. Get a Senco. Have 2 paslodes, neither work and both were used very little, less than 500 nails. The Senco is like 30 years old and works flawless, the paslodes have been very finicky and can't be relied on for a business, unless you want to be poor
Flasi false false do not listen. Paslode is the most expensive gun on market. U can buy a makitia millwauke for 550 with 1 battery and no charger. A charger an battery set 680. Paslode runs u 780. So gl

Thank you
Right on. The knowledge is apreciated.
I'd talk about the schematic!! LOL
i saw this video after seeing the workshop build. you've helped me in many ways. Thank you, Sir!

That’s only downfall us cartridges have expiration or might fail during periods of non use
Love the over dramatic music. Haha 😂. Great to see you back uploading! I look forward to some more videos and projects! Great video Sam.
Hi mate, in New Zealand/Australia paslode guns are the go to here almost every carpenter has one ! Great video

The battery does not shoot 9000 nails though does it? It merely provides the spark to ignite the gas
It's advertised as being able to. All it does is provide the spark, correct.
It also runs the fan which evacuates the spent gas out of the cylinder

Hi Sam offgrid alternative - 🔨 👈 👍 bet you've already got one!
good for you its ur money and its good to treat ur self
Everyone one has bought tools they could do without, sounds like you have just done that. I usually try to make it up by selling more products but a new tool is always good
I'm sold, thanks.
I went with Paslode because the Milwaukee weighs as much as a boat anchor.
I have one that I have used for years and it is great, not one failure, not one jam, ever. I have all type of air tools too, so far so good on all of them.
That elevator pitch sounded more like an Angela pitch...guess it worked 😂 good job.
I can't see anyone doing any heavy framing with these . We frame houses and occasionally decks , and everything else .

You nailed it with the title of this video, the video features explosives it is electrified runs on fire and gas and is deep penetrating! 🤣🛫
P.S. Put your night cap on before looking at any of their videos .. they are "binge" fare.
What I heard: "You need that Pasload nailer". What will happen: "Hey check out my new Banks Nailer"
I had to google Banks nailer. 😂 But yes... I completely understand!!!
🤣🤣🤣🤣 if I had a Harbor Freight next door to me or close to me I would have bought one at Harbor Freight and I would have bought a compressor a portable one with the nailer way much cheaper but whatever floats your boat I really enjoyed the video it was real good.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Good stuff brother
Paslode are the first cordless nailers on the planet and still the best once they are serviced and looked after I see the 10 years and older still going and wait till the all batterie nailers break down and see what they cost
Why do I need a paslode when I have hundreds of feet of hose 150 lb compresser ? You missing the point.
not to mention the passlode is 3 pounds lighter then every electric nailer
Dude! That is a bigger deal than most people realize. Some of those guns weigh a ton.
Has your wife seen this video yet? Are you treating her to new herb flower plants?
She sure has! :) She sees all the video edits before publishing. :) Let's just say... she's getting something A LOT BIGGER AND BETTER than plants!!!
Hey are you going to, RUclips and share this "big project"? Because now I'm interested. Lol
Absolutely will, but it will be featured on our other channel since it fits there better -- Green Acre Homestead Thanks!
Oh, awsome!
at 8:20 *Helpful tip time :) :)* Bahahahaha!!!!!
at 16:05 *Why did I purchase the Paslode?* DUH Because Kevin said so!!!
😂
Lol naaahh you got it because is say xp lol men you funny was laughing so hard and I was using my headphones and my mother is passing by and tell me if I was crazy lmao.
😂😎👍
A coil-nailer gun is the way forward bro, holds a LOT more nails, 3 to 4 hundred at a time..
Do they have them in cordless? Didn't see any in my researching. :-\ I bet it would be nice though -- lots of nails.
Wait till you use a pneumatic gun and not enough hose? That's why !!!
Sweet tool. Ok... what’s th new project?
Damn, the glasses should have came with ear plugs
I have a large yard and I’m putting up a fence. That’s why I’m here. Haha
I've been using it for a new roof on our home and LOVE IT! It's pricey, but if you can get over that hurdle then it's awesome.
Umm, I don't even know anymore. I think I lost brain cells
I just hate pneumatic tools, that's why I got it
Lol, Sam your a goof.. but that's why I watch. Laugh and learn. (Something new that is.)
I'm glad you still enjoy my shop antics! :)
I just buy paslode and other decent tools because when my menards rebates come in I can buy them "for free"
Gas guns will be history soon. Have two collecting dust in the shed. Place for them if you ask me.
😂 homie can’t pay that.
You are funny! Also what’s with the no neck dude?
LOL Some internet meme I saw floating around. I think it's from a TV show? Thought it was funny to add in.
Paslode makes unreliable garbage. Get a Senco. Have 2 paslodes, neither work and both were used very little, less than 500 nails. The Senco is like 30 years old and works flawless, the paslodes have been very finicky and can't be relied on for a business, unless you want to be poor
Hate you had those issues. I shot 3,500 nails through mine in the span of a week with no issues. Been holding up well since, too.
WTF is a Giddy ? 🇬🇧
I dance in my bare feet sometimes.
What a waste of time listening to this.
Hahahahaha
My first time watching this channel... I'll stick with Green Acre Homestead. Unsubscribing Sorry
Just curious, why were you subscribed if this is the first time you have watched the channel?
Thanks for stopping by, no worries over not liking it. This is a different channel. :)
😂🤣😂
You're right...worst ever!
stuck in the 50's using compressors, while the rest of the world has been using cordless nail guns for over 3 decade's
Flasi false false do not listen. Paslode is the most expensive gun on market. U can buy a makitia millwauke for 550 with 1 battery and no charger. A charger an battery set 680. Paslode runs u 780. So gl
I bought mine new at lowes for $230 plus tax. Same as in the video
?????? crappppp
You talk to much
