- This horse is very dangerous!! Can she be helped?? This highland 3 year old pony is lethal with her headbutting and kicking! She has broken her owners wrist and elbow! Steve could be her last chance! This is very dangerous for Steve but he still takes huge risks to try and help all involved! steve-young-ho...
Your channel does more for British tourism than the BBC! Love seeing the proper Welsh countryside. And a hello from Seattle.
Eastern Washington State here 😊
Couldn't agree more. I like to fantasize me silent in the back seat looking at the scenery, down the narrow streets, and smiling at how Steve and Tanya make each other laugh. It's a great getaway fantasy all on the cheap from my lounge chair! Thanks for the trip!!
@@debbiestumm511don’t ya just love these guys!
It is actually the Welsh countryside, very undulating and pastoral with a high rainfall x
Thanks Pearl, I caught that after posting.@@pearl8753
If I were coaching Malcolm, I'd have him *slow down* about half a beat. He has courage, but he moves a little too abruptly for the horse to feel safe.
I agree. I know he wants to do good...but he moves too fast, rubs a bit hard on the ears etc. A very nice couple truly.❤
I noticed the same. He started off very aggressively rubbing the horses ears. If I were the horse, I wouldn't like that.
Yeah i Thought the same. It was too rushed. It was like watching a little kid rubbing a dog. No animals or humans likes to be rubbed like that. Causes more stress than pleasure.
What sweet, kind people! This mare is gorgeous and has a good future thanks to this lovely couple. They obviously work hard for these horses and have the knowledge and commitment to keep on with the training after Steve leaves. ❤
When I bought my first the seller told me she didn't like her ears messed with. I'll admit I did alot of ground work first, but even the first time I caressed her ears, she quietly acquiesced. It later became one of her favorite things.
You established leadership first, which helped her feel safe. Well done!
My boy didn’t like his ears touch and the flies were so bad that I started putting spray on my hands and rubbing it on his ears. After awhile he must of realized the flies weren’t bother him there anymore. Now I can rub his ears inside and out and it doesn’t bother him. 😊
I had a 3 year old mare that when I first got her wouldn't let me touch her ears so while she was eating her grain I would play with her ears wasn't long before she didn't have any problems
What a loverly man and brave well done him and you were good to him as well Steve ❤❤
What a brilliant VLOG … for several reasons.
To start with, it was nice to see the return to that farm, and how well they have gotten on with the wild pony boy. It must feel good to know owners build off of what you’ve successfully done.
You can also see these owners are attentive to their horses … Malcolm listens well and follows instructions to a ‘T’, with ‘quality & grace’ (I so love that phrase)!
As is expected, you’ve done a brilliant job with Raven … hopeful they’ll be able to build off of what you’ve been able to teach her in today’s VLOG. The real test will be after the wife heals and is able to handle Raven, as well. Although, it may not be doable (I wouldn’t blame her if she refused to) with the severity of her injury and perhaps their history, in both her’s and Raven’s minds. It will be quite a feat if she does though… it would be a testimonial to all your hard work you do, for both horses and owners.
I love it when you show the sights as well … also the map at the beginning to show us where you’re headed. What a beautiful little town (village). I think your Grandkids would have loved that dinosaur … it looked so real.
And yes … I think we (the viewers) also think you guys are amazing. 😂 I really enjoy your VLOGs … a highlight of the day (if not week/month). Looking forward to the next … will eventually join as a member but can’t do it just yet!
Happy Trails! 🙏🙌🐴🐎🇨🇦
Nice video again. Very interesting and yet very dangerous. Malcolm should wear a helmet just to be safe when he will do this in the future ..❤❤
I just love Malcolm! I hope he’ll stay safe! I did see kinda a change in the way Raven was kicking…less intent on doing harm more “I really don’t want to do this…well ok”
YES!! Highest kiddos to Malcome! Fantastic job quickly picking up on the changes, good timing & working with Steve... Even finishing his sentences a few times 😂😊! Better & better communication & relationship with Raven & all the horses.
You all don't have an absolute clue what you lot are doing ...
It's killing me to watch you charge people for your so called help its ridiculous please stop what you are doing Immediately.
Thise lively kind people need real help not this micky mouse help your going around the country doing,I'm not going Nasty I don't wanna come across rude I'm a very experienced horsey person and can't sit back and not say anything so please take this as positive Criticism try helping people with cats ordogsnot horses please😢.....
Another well done session! From Canada, what's almost more exciting than the horsey bits, is watching you drive on the wrong side of the (what you call a) road. Has Wales never conceived of "shoulders" for roads? The winding, narrowness, and my instinctive panic when on coming traffic comes round the bend; and to me, not only is the road not wide enough, but you're on the wrong side! I have physically brought up my knees and winced watching you drive. It would be like a rollercoaster ride for me to see it sped up! Please give a verbal warning if ever you choose to post that for fun! I'll need to be hanging on for it! LOL Please note: Nothing WRONG with your driving, it's just me and your geography. And thx alot, now I want pork roast and yorkshire pudding.
Yorkshire puddings are the best. My Mom use to Make them all the time. Haven’t had them in years. 😊
LOL, so good to know that I'm not the only one who gets anxiety watching them drive "on the wrong side of the road" 😅
@@louisejackson8595 The packets make very good ones too, so easy! Go ahead, indulge.🛒
Lol funny comment! I feel the same sometimes when I watch videos from Canada and USA. Try speeding it up go to the settings cog icon on the top right corner of the video and you can select playback speed. Makes the voices funny too (Sorry Steve!) 😂
You are a lovely caring couple and just wonderful with the horses and owners alike. ❤️❤️❤️
It makes my day each time another (🥰long) video gets posted!! Not enough words to thank you for what you're all trying to do to improve the relationships between the horse & human world & beyond!
Very well done to keep explaining & showing the very CAUTIOUS & judicious use of treats in short "emergent" certain circumstances!! Steve has to block this horses nose SOOO many times as it's nose!!! In the near future, I trust he'd quickly balance in some consequential yields if it continues??
😊You hit the nail on the head when you said "like you would treat a lady... With quality & grace." & I'd add like a child too for that matter. Understanding of the perspective of ones we're trying to teach all along the way & humanely working towards the good things... THAT is the GOLDEN difference between brutal people & ones like Steve. None of us are perfect, but BLESSED are the ones that will always strive to learn, improve & share in the journey to better things!
You have such a gift from God with His horses. Blessings from Ft Lauderdale.
Hey Steve, just wanted to put it out there that if you sold ball caps or “trucker hats” in your store I’d buy one and I am sure many people would. I only wear hats that mean something to me and I’d love to recommend your channel to others!
Funny how the prettiest ponies are often so dangerous! You are wonderful for helping. And thanks for the landscape mini-tour as well.
Brilliant as usual. Notice that Malcolm was a bit too rough and also needed to be "gentled". Soft and gentle so Raven understands you are not there to hurt her. Stroke and smooth.
I felt the same way. A little more easy and gentle needed.
My Husband is going away next weekend too...no meals to make, no picking up things all over the house...after 33 yrs, his vacation is my vacation too Tanya.😂. GREAT video as always you two. Always love what you two are going to have for lunch❤ Malcolm and his partner are so wonderful. This video made my day🥰, 🇨🇦Sharon.
I live in the US and watching you drive on the opposite side of the road as we do here gives me the willies!!! Love you guys. I'm an animal lover and have a greyhound. My training with her reminds me of your approach. Happy a
Trails!
This was By Far my Most Favorite Video!♥️ Malcolm and Lorraine are Absolutely Wonderful People, Heart and Soul! Malcolm is such a Great Guy, He works So Hard to Train the Horses, and to Treat them Kindly! Now I have to Look for the First Video You made Tanya so I can see Steve and Malcom in Action Again! Just watched the 1st Video and realized that You had worked with Theo Previously. I Really thought Malcom had done it All himself, when You Complemented him. Lol! Thanks for the Video, it Really was such a Feel-Good Experience, left a Smile on my Face and Love in my Heart.❤️
I would Love just Spending Time with the elderly couple, Lovely People!🥳 Apolo the white & black Horse was the Cutest with all that wild hair 😄♥️
I really like that Steve uses a helmet. It´s respectful and wise.
What an amazing couple your clients are. They are brave and kind. Like you. Well done yet again. I’m so used to your magic, well, technique, it’s almost expected but still makes me happy. You help horses and people. Your spreader was a great find too. You both deserve luck and happiness for your positive thoughts and actions you put into the world.
Wonderful demonstration of how to use treats as a positive form of communication.
Many years ago I was brushing a yearling at a livery stables where my horse was stabled . Got to brush down her flank, quick a lightening she kicked my arm and broke it in 2 places. It took 3 months to heal. Hope Malcolm stays safe. Lovely video Steve and Tanya again
I live in Northeast USA. I very much enjoy seeing the scenery when Steve and Tanya are traveling to a job.
That pony catches on very quickly - 'I've been good, where's the lick!'🥰
I love that couple so much - so glad you could help them! Raven is beautiful!
What a cute horse. Glad Steve could help.
The scenery in view is just stunning! So glad you choose to share your drives! Nice work with the horse, too!
What a wonderful teacher you are
I got nervous thinking this was a repeat video, because I remembered Malcom. I was so happy to see instead YOU were a miracle worker changing the life of another horse and humans caring for them! Great results AGAIN!!! I never expect less from both you and Tanya! God Bless you both!!
What an amazing job Malcolm has done with the dun yearling, sorry I have forgotten it’s name😂. I know he will work hard with Raven, I hope he stays safe. Great video and teaching. Have a great time on IOM stay safe x
Fab video,i got a lot from this thanks,as did Malcolm who is so patient and caring, now he knows the craft he will be able to do so much more, he's a lovely chap. Both the owners will be a lot safer thanks to you Steve.I hope that poor lady heals ok,wrists are a real painful complex of tiny bones to heal.
It’s such a pleasure to watch Malcolm, he listens to you and his timing is perfect. What a wonderful student.
Here in the States, old time cowboys would tie up a back leg - or hobble both - in their efforts to break (and "break" is the unfortunate but accurate word) a young horse. In addition, they would grab an ear and BITE it, to leverage control. It makes me sick. But to say "animal cruelty" among these blowhards was to label a man as a sissy. After many, many years, we have learned much, much better. Now, if someone in this beauty's past tried those tactics to try to "break" her on your side of the pond, it would answer for all these sensitivities in her. You success is a heartwarming miracle. She is a very smart girl. Thank you for using gentle and wise methods to teach her that horses are to be loved, not abused!
Love the countryside...thanks for everything
My favorite videos are yours. Love that they’re unedited so we get to see all the issues.
I’ll say it again you are amazing Steve and Tanya great filming that was wonderful. Thank you for showing us the Castile. ❤️❤️👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🙏🏻🙏🏻Granny B.
Behind every successful horsemanship man there is someone supporting, organising, reminding 😘
Your ability to see the tension and anxiety in the HUMANS is marvelous! I think very few people realize how important a calm demeanor means to the equines, whether long ears or short ears!
I watch you all of the time, and I really enjoy your videos. I don’t have horses any more but my grandkids do. But I have to say, it is a pleasure to watch you. I live in Ohio in the United States and when I watch your videos I almost feel like I have to yell at you for driving on the wrong side of the road. I have to stop and think because that is the correct side of the road.
Keep up with the great videos
I was taught by the original horse whisperer the famous Tom Dorrance I will admit his teaching are different than what im learning here. To tell the truth your not a good trainer if you don't keep up with the times and continue to learn. I take what I've learned from everyone and apply it with every horse as every horse is different and needs a different set of standards. I do learn from you too. I haven't trained in quite a while because I've moved from my stables 10 years ago and dropped out of site. No one knows who i am now but I can really help if I wanted to get back into it. It would be hard though, to get a whole new clientele and pretty much start fresh. All the knowledge in my head is going to waste. Maybe a book but heck no one reads books anymore life is too rushed, I'd love to share my knowledge though for another generation to learn Tom's trainings
You are amazing Steve. Malcolm has got some guts its like with your help he is fearless. Another great video Steve loved it. XXXXXXX
Amazing work as ever 👏 I love you guys. Good for Malcom & you recognising & acknowledging that in him. It’s great to see people being encouraged, that will do them all the power of good. Hopefully the lady’s wrist & elbow is on the mend.
What a gorgeous horse! Most beautiful, shiny black coat. I love watching you do your magic Steve❤
If Malcolm reads these comments I hope he'll start wearing the helmet he already owns. If it was good enough for Steve to do so who had better control of Raven it should be good enough for Malcom and his wife. I know helmets can be a bother but why take the chance? Plus it's really only for a few minutes out of the day...I speak as the survivor of a concussion that I would have been better off without.
It's like a carry on film !
Wish you two could be cloned! There are so many people and horses in need! Keep up the good work! 🎉🎉party ❤❤❤❤
Your videos are filled with gifts to watch and digest from the horse healing pŕesentations to the beautiful countryside drives, and your chatting humor and laughs. Great QUALITY! Greetings from across the pond in BC Canada.
Ah, Raven has such gentle but sad eyes. Hope she understands in time that not all humans have bad intentions
So excited to see a new video!!
Well done I remember their highland colt foal just my only concern they are just a little to old for these young ponies Raven a lovely mare
I really love how Malcom does this. So lovely to see!
Well done Steve and Tanya. You really made a difference, yet again xx
I bought a 17.3 hand tb that had a fungus in his ears. Had to touch to treat. Earned his trust by unbuckling the cheek piece, and gently, slowly placing the crown over his head without inflaming his ears. Just bring the bit around and in, then buckle cheek piece. At 17.3 hands, the only way to bridle or mount was by earning his cooperation. Showing that I would always listen to his “whispers” meant he never had to “ yell” at me. Teaching,” We speak softly to each other” is done before any tack goes on. Being firm, fair and soft as possible on the ground translates into imperceptible cues honored under saddle.
Another fantastic Video with so much in it! Ears were a triumph and twinkle toes on their way with "Grace and Quality' ! This dear sweet couple have such great love for their rescues and lucky they have you 'Steve and Tanya' to rescue them, from what was already a dangerous situation. Fingers crossed 🤞going forward with no more injuries. Knowledge is Key and thank goodness Steve you can share your years of expertise, making the world safer for owners and their beloved horses! 🤠👸🥰🥰
Beutiful little mare.Looks like she wants love..
If she has been twiched..yuk.
Those are barbaric insruments.Torture is not the way..
Gutless people use brute force and cruel tactics because they are scared...with animals, children and people they can get at...
Your techniques to overcome these problems are lovely to watch..
I realise how gentle my horse really was after watching your videos..
😊
I really enjoy everything about your videos!
First viewer here! When I got the notification I was straight on to this video lol! It’s terrifying how people can get badly injured by there own ponies , However I hope everyone who has been injured in the past is doing well now!
I liked how you talked about the trade off of using the lick to accomplish fixing these dangerous habits but later having to deal a bit with pushy and treat driven. I've totally stopped hand feeding after your comments and I see a huge difference in how my horses look at me. Thank you!
Really enjoy your interactions with the horses and owners. Your approach is confident yet humble. God has blessed you with skill and wisdom. In turn, you bless others and their beloved horses.
Love to watch country side video as you go ! I live in eastcoast Canada
Love your videos. Great tips on training and fun to watch you have fun teasing each other. Thanks from Nova Scotia, Canada. ❤😊
If you run out of horses, you would both make great tour guides! 😂 love the scenery, Thanx for sharing. ❤
Another great video Steve and Tanya! I so miss the charm of Europe...love u taking us along! ❤❤
You both are an amazing team!!! Thanks for sharing!
Wondered how you turned the lory around. Beautiful drive. Of course your horsemanship talents are spot on.
🐎🌳I don't know, how I missed this one! 🐎Great video!🐎Thank you, thank you, thank you😊💗🙌🌳🐎
i just love you tackling any problems possible. Your knowledge and understandings of the equines is so remarkable - you are an utter pleasure to watch and learn from. You‘re the best I have ever seen.
Malcum is great with his horses - it’s wonderful that he takes the time and effort with some very feral horses - remarkable what he accomplisches with them. Well done the both of you!
🧚🏼♀️💕
I love watching ur videos, I appreciate that you show where you are going ane the surrounding area!
Loved seeing the castle and town and countryside in addition to the lesson.
3rd to comment but the first viewer! Here to say that this video is amazing so far but it’s really terrifying how horses can injure people and they might even end up in hospital but still hopefully everyone that has gotten injured by there ponies are alright!
Lovely lovely really amazing, thank you Steve. Training owners so horses can improve the quality of life!
Great video! Another horse helped. Good job Steve. Love your comments Tanya. : ) Bless you guys. ❤
It's fascinating to me how Steve works with the problem horses. That Raven is sure a beauty.
--your timing as to when to take a break , comes from years of experience ... a couple of times you even did the 321 count down and you changed yr mind and extended the exercise a few more seconds ... you fast track yr training but you never cut corners. It's the breaks and resets , and yes the walking away is what builds trust (a true predator never walks away) ... Well done.
Had t watched in a bit and it was so nice to see all!! I was hoping though, to see you work with that Dinosaur!😂
Binge watching now I have found y’all! Love to hear how you talk to each other on the drives, and seeing how your countryside looks like my Maryland, USA . I would love to see your work on tv. A show about helping troubled individuals through leadership and kindness, with firm boundaries would be universal, I think.
WOW YOU NEVER CEASE TO AMAZE ME STEVE THIS MAN SO SO SURPRISED ON HOW WELL YOU MADE THIS HORSE AND I KNOW THE LADY WAS THRILLED== THAT HORSE IS A LITTLE NOT TRUSTING HIM I THINK HOPE HE TALKS TO IT MORE ==GREAT WORK STEVE 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰THEM OLD CASTLES AMAZZING
Thanks Steve! AND Thanks to your wonderful wife…….the videographer! (Was that Yorkshire Pudding? Oh man, I miss having that during Christmas for dinner with Prime Rib.
I just loved this video it had a bit of everything! ❤❤❤
Good work U and Tanya❤..hope Dan gets to do the hooves ..!!😊
I knew the answer to “can she be helped?” was yes. Great filming as always!
Amazing! Love the long videos. I get so much out of them!
Wow Steve great work. Your patience, quality and grace as you work I find wonderful. Thank you so much. Tanya you do a great job too love how you greet all the animals. It warms my heart. ❤
Thanks for another amazing video guys! I always learn so much! ❤🐴❤
Malcolm did so good... So glad you could help Raven. And I've heard people talk about Camarthen but that was the first time I "saw" it.
Wonderful as always. I have to say I absolutely loved the look at your dinners and the site's. It's always fun. ❤❤❤❤
Pretty Raven and great job 👏👏 You change the life for Raven, she is a beauty. Hope Lorraine is getting better. Wales is so cool, I hope I could come to visit you for a holiday, go swim in the sea
I didn’t know there was a contest for the best trainer going on. Is it still going on! You are definitely the best!!!!
I think this is a fabulous example of why treats CAN BE GOOD, used in the right way. We've no doubt Steve could achieve a good outcome but without the treat, how much more stress all three of them would have gone through, then the increased risk of harm. Obviously the guys can get kicked but if she kicked the wall, she could do some real damage to herself. A good horseman does whatever he can to make the answer easier for the horse to find.
Thank you ! Safe travels you guys!! 😊 from Spring, Tx near a small town called Houston 😎😎
Dude the view! That was awesome!
Just like the way your work with horses..been watching your videos...i rid e academic riding and work with natural horsemanship with horses and i just like this way when you can connect with the horse and your self...when you get the bond between you and the horse then you have a good friend there....
Well done guys! Another good one ☝️
Brilliant as always. I wonder what Steve exactly ment by saying: 'The last thing they do is the first thing they lern.'
Raven was a perfect name for her. I am glad she is coming around.
How funny your GPS has an American accent!! LOL!!
you truly are one of the best!!.
You’ve gotta have a Greggs lol, we do too often lol - great video! Thanks
Amazing work!❤
Steve enjoys his work even though its hard at times.....enjoys his food and most important enjoys been with Tanya. Not many people have all that together. Wonderful to see such a great relationship. I think the hardest job is Tanya's....holding the camera for the viewers. Says all the right things. She should branch out into counselling ....then Steve can hold the camera for her for a few hours.. 😂
Can’t wait to see the next one. I really need a new horse to train. I sold mine last year. 😔
