    Hi Jim,
Thank you very much for testing our product LUM POWER 1000. This is very helpful for us to optimize the product in the future as well as to develop new products.
As a growing brand, we value every customer's feedback. We've noticed that you had a few questions during the product testing, and here are answers to them and I hope this will be helpful for you to know the product.
    1. About the function button need to be pressed long term to start it (3-5 seconds)
This design is to prevent accidentally touching the switch, to avoid accidentally switching off during the power supply process or wasted power consumption.
    2. About Charging a Car Battery
The car-mode of this product means that it can charge the 12V car battery to solve the problem that the car cannot start due to the car battery being dead, and it is not a direct jump starter. (In car-start mode, our product will provide a higher current to charge the car battery.) You can refer to the part 'How to Use' of the user manual and this function is introduced in the 2. Charging a Car Battery. Regarding the charging cable, we will consider whether it is standard or not according to customer demand. Thank you very much for the feedback.
    3. About Drop Protection
The LUM POWER 1000 has passed the strict drop test. The battery pack, as well as the internal structure, will not be damaged after the 1.5M fall and also won't have relevant safety issues. But I'm sorry for the appearance of the damage in your test. Considering the safety of electricity, we didn't use metal for the front and rear panel parts and used thickened V0-grade fireproof material. For the weight of the LUM POWER 1000, it is difficult to avoid cosmetic damage to its panel if it is dropped on a hard concrete floor. We are looking for a better program to further increase the sturdiness of the product, but at the same time, I hope that people try to avoid more dangerous attempts!
    4. About The Capacity Issue
We are very happy that you affirm the capacity of our products. Our products have gone through the official FCC and UL seriously. We firmly SAY NO to false labeling. In fact, for many other brands in the market, 1000Wh products are seldom more than 900Wh available (because of high energy loss and false advertising). The test results also reflect your professionalism.
    5. About the problem that the rated power cannot reach the peak value
We are sorry that our technical team can not give a clear diagnosis based on the video alone because of the diversity of the appliances used and their own power errors. One of the possible reasons is that the total current of the loaded appliances is overloaded, resulting in the product's active shutdown. (This may also be why the battery can be loaded with more power output under car mode, in which the product provides higher current.) We will continue to optimize the product's suitability in order to improve its performance.
    6. About The Design Of The Parallel Structure
Thank you so much for your suggestion. The original intention of the design is to provide users with more choices of combinations, including the combination of products of the same series with different capacities. We will carefully re-evaluate the wide range of scenarios in which this feature can be used.
At LUMOPAL, we take great pride in providing our customers with high-quality products and exceptional customer service. If you have any questions about our products, just visit our website at www.lumopal.com at any time to leave us a message, or directly contact us at support@lumopal.com or lum-palsupport@lum-pal.com.
    Thank you very much.

    Hey Jim, great video!
Could you tell me what oscilloscope you have there and where I could purchase it?

I basically bought the cheapest thing I could find. It seems to work, but honestly I don't know much about them. here is the amazon link: amzn.to/3YXLbmD
Sorry for the late reply. Thanks for the comment!

This seems like a very useful unit! I will look into it, did not see if you told us the weight. Maybe I missed that part.

Just checked the link, it is just over 19 pounds, very handy.

Wow nice. Seems to perform well for its size and having some kind of drop test rating and strong build quality is better than most. The accessory socket could use some redesign based on your testing. Being able to link two together is great. I'm all about the one is none rule so having two main units versus a larger power station would make sense in that respect. But if it can't run my 1000w microwave for 2 minutes in a power outage its not good enough! They need to have the 1200w AC inverter claims met.

It does work well, but I feel like it could be better. Thanks for the comment.

Another good video. @ $899 I expect it to use LFP batteries, this unit is not worth $899 after seeing your test results.
BTW, how hot did the power brick get when you were charging it? I heard some people saying that it gets too hot to touch.

The power brick was warm, but nothing alarming. It was heavy enough to think it had LiFePo4 cells. Thanks for the comment.

@@OffGridBasement I keep looking at their product description and the spec but I did not see any mention of LFP, they should advertise it that it uses LFP.

What’s the Max this unit can input from solar panels?

Seems like a pretty decent unit unless you drop it. LOL. I’ve had a couple power stations that offer jump starting but they include the proper cables.

Yeah... Don't drop it! I've never heard of that feature. The initial video was so much longer b/c I was so confused on how this worked... sheeesh.. Thanks for the comment.

Interesting review. I'm curious if it would actually start a car. Thank you for the video.

I honestly don't think it would. I guess it would depend on the vehicle. Thanks for the comment.

The company's response said it is not to jumpstart a car battery, it is to charge it up.

I lost all interest when you pulled out the charging BRICK.
I demand a direct AC cord connection for charging.

I completely understand. I don't mind the brick because it keeps all that heat out of the unit itself. Thanks for the comment.

A power brick is not a deal-breakef for me, but for some it is.

If you power brick fails its easy to replace. Built in AC, your likely buying a new power station.
