Showed he is not worth the money until we see something different and should be paid closer to Winston or Darnold over the top 5 QBs. He is the same age a Cousins and very unlikely to get a long contract and I doubt he will sign a long contract at backup money. MVP and Super Bowl appearance could get him a 5-year deal but there probably are no odds on that double, Rogers around that age actually came close to that and did not get long term security and reworked his contract after being traded.
Did he learn how to make adjustments in a system other than Carrols? Doubtful. Did he all of a sudden learn how not to get sacked 40+ times a year? Unlikely. Can he move up in the pocket and complete a pass to the middle of the field? Maybe.
You gotta remember that Javonte Williams averaged 3.6 ypc last year and Wilson’s always worked off play action, and the receivers he had were deep threat guys with Judy not even having a complete route tree while Wilson was supposed to be hitting slants and outs based off route running

I don't think everyone in Denver hates Russ, we just want to win, and he was crippling the team with his crazy contract, and not budging was kind of against the team. If he won games, it would be tolerable, but he didn't win, and what's more, he didn't show much improvement at all after two seasons. He was a dead end and more about his own pay day than the team or winning. Plus, he just isn't going to beat any of the elites... just not there... so goodbye! Why does the media keep bringing up Russ with the Broncos anyway? That's old news. He's the steelers' problem now.
Russ was actually pretty good last year and hes a better fit in Pitt. Peyton wanted to go a different direction (for a variety of reasons) and thats his perogative. Not Peytons fault the broncos overpaid Russ. Not Russ' fault either.
Nothing Russ says is genuine. It’s all neutral thinking bullshit. He doesn’t take responsibility, he doesn’t take accountability , and it’s never anyone’s fault. That’s why he loses locker rooms and coaches alike. People don’t want fake (even though neutral thinking is great and all) and want him to answer with thoughtful emotion and not robot like. He no longer has the skill to back up all of his positivity and that’s why he’s losing people. Say that you messed up and threw a bad pass , not that everyone really tried their best and it was an unfortunate play. Everyone knows it was you that threw the interception that cost the game, they want to hear that. Take ACCOUNTABILITY He will lose the locker room yet again and I predict he will be benched before the year is out. Should’ve bowed out when he left Denver. A third team and a third failure will only further push him into forgotten territory.
Thank you! Finally someone with a brain. I couldn’t have said it any better brother! He comes off as Mr. Good Christian, but in reality he’s a fraud who has others do his dirty work behind the scenes. I really think his career started going downhill when he married Ciara. He’s more worried about carrying her purse and promoting her music than actually winning.
Russell Wilson is a 13-year-old corvette with 250,000 miles under the hood an engine and transmission that has never been replaced. Justin Fields is a 3-year-old corvette with 25,000 miles under the hood. Russell will break down sooner than later.

The Broncos are eating $85 million in cap just to not have you on their team. I think the assessment is any person that isn’t delusional would feel scalded, but Russ has to pretend he’s superhuman and unflappable. Which is hilarious by itself.
@@tyronegrant3422 85 million over the next 2 years. Teams just dont do that without there being a pretty valid reason. The reason is, Russ couldnt run a grade school offense and would probably still take 30 sacks....
If Wilson had reworked his Injury Clause of the contract, then WHAT… Can’t blame a guy for negotiating a good deal… Now the Broncos are paying him $85M to play against them… Not the Brightest move… In practical terms, Wilson has the SIXTH ranked defense backing him up. A bonafide THOUSAND yard rusher in Najee Harris, plus the secondary back, Jaylen Warren had more rushing yards 782 than the Broncos’ Javonte Williams’ 774. The receiver George Pickens also had a THOUSAND yard season, and the WR2 had over 700 yard, the same as Sutton and Judy. Even their TE’s out performed the Broncos’ TE’s… What’s hilarious, is thinking a rookie, or a career backup are suddenly going to produce THIRTY touchdowns in place of the Twenty-Nine Wilson contributed last season. However, WIlson may improve his numbers considering his improved arsenal in Pittsburgh, and play in the final two games… 🤔
