And only 10% of arena was full until the main event then it filled up. Same when froch fought groves..Wembley arena as empty when Joshua fought. And again only filled up for main event. So it is what it is

If Dillian did all the extra media stuff to promote the fight, the fight would be worth a hell of a lot more money and he would be worth a hell of a lot more than 20%. If they were fair in the first instance they would have got probably the best build up for a fight in a long time because Dillian can match Tyson in the entertainment department. If people could have worked together they would have had a real good show and made a hell of a lot of money all around.
@@reka999 yes but that's Frank Warren and Bob Arums problem. Dillian Whyte has a contractual amount of 20% of that 41 million plus another 10% if he wins. It's not about the amount of money for Dillian it's the principal. They weren't prepared to even consider negotiating the 20% and that was before a figure of 41 million was pulled out of Frank's ass. Fury and his promoters are the only ones benefiting from Dillians involvement and and promotion towards the fight at this point but that's because of the promoters and the way they have gone about their business. If matchroom won the purse bid and had the a side fighter in the fight Fury would be doing the same as Dillian is now. And he would also be getting advised to do that from his promoters. Dillian doing the best thing possible by keeping concentrated on training for the fight.

Khan-brook we all know would of been better 6-7 years ago but what we got was still a really good build up and it really sold people the fight because when that first bell rang the atmosphere was fantastic and yeah played out pretty one sided for Kell because you could tell amir had faded alot more but it was still exciting to watch and people enjoyed it. Undercard was fucking tragic tho one of the worst ever

If they were fair in the first instance they would have got probably the best build up for a fight in a long time because Dillian can match Tyson in the entertainment department. It's not about the amount of money for Dillian it's the principal. They weren't prepared to even consider negotiating the 20% and that was before a figure of 41 million was pulled out of Frank's ass. Fury and his promoters are the only ones benefiting from Dillians involvement and and promotion towards the fight at this point but that's because of the promoters and the way they have gone about their business. If matchroom won the purse bid and had the a side fighter in the fight Fury would be doing the same as Dillian is now. And he would also be getting advised to do that from his promoters. Dillian doing the best thing possible by keeping concentrated on training for the fight.

Eddie seems pretty short and stressed out lately. A year or so ago he had the sense of a man that was running boxing. Doesn’t quite have the same energy recently.

I totally agree, Hearn's techie and slightly on edge. I think he's probably over doing things (being the global face and mouth piece of Matchroom and DAZN) he may need to step back a bit !

You must be naive asf to not believe any promoter, let alone one as a shrewd as Hearn, would not have alternate options available for a big client like Whyte.
Also, Whyte is a mercenary who has taken money fights over title eliminators before. It would fit his MO.

Eddie is great for boxing and what he's done for british boxing has been second to none in recent years but you can see the pressure getting getting to him especially since he's not deemed the A side promotional company in some of these fights. Hope to see fast car, Eddie back to his old self soon..
Great for boxing but can't form a relationship with other promotors and constantly talks about how driven he is to win and be the best, making them more likely to freeze him and his fighters out

Of course there was discussions about another fight for Whyte. Look how hard Eddie pushed for Fury to fight Usyk.
He said since the purse bids. Never said Whyte wasn’t offered offer fights before.
What other fight could have been made then big man? Whyte wants a world title shot, only Usyk and Fury have world titles. Usyk is contractually obliged to fight AJ next. Who else would Whyte fight that would be worth more than a $8 million purse and a guaranteed world title shot?
