Spot on regarding Levy’s negotiation tactics. You definitely need to engage with the other party first and then go from there. With sales I truly believe that people buy off people. Always great content Sean and often covering things that others don’t. Keep up the good work 👍 COYS 🤗
You mean the ‘fantasy’ that Levy will start acting like an owner who is actually interested in - and committed to - winning? C’mon there ARE limits to all such fantasies
Totally agree with you about Levy. His reputation as a tough negotiator is 75% hype but it is something that at times we can use to our advantage. I want to see us out of the starting blocks tomorrow and announcing signings / exits within days of the window opening (if not tomorrow itself). Be nice if we just offered the release fee for someone we really need and get our act together this time.
You’ve made alot of sense about levy today and it’s exactly how I see it. He wins battles in transfer negations but loses the war which is the bigger picture! 👍
Sean, mate. Romero is under contract for another 3-years and you can imagine Ange's reaction if Spurs wanted to sell him under his rebuild. Plus the lashback against Levy if the Club decided to sell. I do not believe this is a prospective deal that will happen and I would be astonished if it did. Besides that, Real Madrid have a huge debt and Romero would be a very expensive deal in the 80m plus bracket. Real Madrid will look for a cheaper option to replace a player in the style of Sergio Ramos. I sleep easy with a story like this. COYS
@Nomad-wv4oe If anyone really wants to leave then there's no point keeping them against their wishes. I remember what happened to Berahino & his career when he was refused his move. Spurs can't replace Romero like for like but they could invest in the squad with a couple of players in different positions.
Have a look at Koki Machida from Union SG mate, Ito's understudy in the Japanese national team and very similar profile as a hybrid left sided CB & LB.
Thoughts on Joakim Mæhle? Always liked him as a player for Spurs. He can play LB and RB and is really good with inverting and crossing. Danish National, impressed at Genk and the Danish National team and has played in several bigger leagues now. All that for about 10-15M
While there are basically cricket noises about our transfer business and we are seemingly doing nothing but letting prime targets go to other teams, Johann is playing close to the vest and shutting down leaks rumors coming from the team. It's actually refreshing considering we were linked to everybodyin all of the other windows.
You’re assuming that Ito and Kelly wanted to come to us??? Ange has always said that he only wants players who want to come to us. We don’t know what conversations had been had or are being had with players now. Give the club a chance there is still plenty of time.
@@SpursTalkShow this is the first time in years I’ve felt confident we will get what we need. Everything seems to be in place in terms of personal and I think there is a plan!! Please don’t quote me when the season starts and we’ve had a sh*tshow of a window!!!!🤣🤣🤣

I don't understand why we didn't go for free agents for that 4th CB spot. Lloyd Kelly, Tosin and Hermoso from Athletico were all available for free and we didn't even seem to look at any of them. Not sure Hermoso has a club yet so could still be an option.
Players know who is interested in them so why would a player choose to be a bench player for Spurs over being a starting centre-back and chase trophies for Bayern Munich in a league he knows? He wouldn't choose us full stop. Transfers are months long, they haven't just told him they are interested, everything doesn't have to be in the press.
Great video but saying KWP wasn't particularly good in the Championship isn't quite right. He was in the team of the year at left back which isn't even his primary position. As a back-up for LB and RB he could be OK depending on the price. It could give us an option to spend more money in the areas where the need is more urgent (in the 6, striker, winger etc.)

I wouldnt be too down about our start to the window. You never know everything, so the Likes of Kelly and Tosin might have been promised more game time etc. Something we just couldnt do
Also, is the window open yet? We had this last season panicking, and it wiled out well, have faith and let's get the useless ones out, Skipp, No omble, Emerson etc
We just don't know all the details. The window is yet to open. I think once the window opens we'll make a signing pretty quickly, hopefully sell a few and begin ramping up talks with serious targets. Euros are gonna make progress a little slow though I reckon
Calafiori was the ideal one… but I really believe now Calafiori is Juve bound, that Murillo is the one to fit the CB options with VDV is the cover for Udogie. There is an open window to exploit a desperate PSR position with Forest. £35m - £40m could bring them out of a breach and get a CB around £10m+ under his potential valuation.
The fees we are getting back on outgoings are horrendous. Less than half what we paid for Spence, Lo Celso apparently can go for £10m, Gil probably £10m or less. Then all the others we let go for free that I won't mention. Luckily we have all those other revenue streams otherwise we'd genuinely be screwed. Also, Romero is a £100m player minimum. A world class world cup winner in his prime. Letting him go for anything less than that would be criminal.
Clearing the decks and waiting to see whos injured and who isnt after the Euros isnt a bad strategy. But only if they snag targets that are available before the tourno finishes.
Romero might have an agreement with Real Madrid to negotiate after next season. Real Madrid tends to do this with their prospects. I think that's the best case scenario for everyone. Maybe not so much for Real but they have players who can play CB
Official window opens today. Ange said, "All is in place and happy with what is in happening with transfer ligned up". Let's see what happens. Maybe players ligned up, but press not getting a sniff so we don't lose out. We are making space for new players, clearing out the deadwood
I thought that there were many reports a few months ago that Pape Matar Sarr does not count as homegrown anymore? Which makes the homegrown situation even worse!! Anyway love the content and been a fan for a long time now
Not here to defend him, but KWP made the EFL team of the year, and he was the Southampton player to make the list. So he was effectively voted the best RB outside of the PL last season.
Another potential LB/LCB is Mario Hermoso. I think he’s a free agent after leaving Atleti. Also Hincapie but he’s unobtainable. I agree that we seem slow out of the gates and it’s a massive concern. Our PSR and FFP position should mean that we are able to prioritise signings before the 30th June but it doesn’t seem likely. The Werner deal makes less and less sense to me as the days go on especially if we are seriously considering Eze. I can’t see Romero going this summer. Real Madrid are getting Lenny Yoro and Alphonso Davies so I doubt they have the funds this summer. I can see it next year for 75-80m. and by then Vuskovic and Philips will be ready. I can’t help but feel angry at the club for getting us into the home grown mess. Because we are desperate clubs will pull our pants down. Other than Brennan, Austin and Maddison, all the home grown players we have will be gone in the next 2-3 years barring any shocks. I’d rather us sign 3/4 quality home grown players than fill every position we need with lower quality players which is how we usually operate.
We dont need Ito just get Jacob Greaves from Hull City to do the rôle. I wouldnt be that sure that Udogie will have the injury issues Reece James has tbh. Every player is unique just look at Kyle Walker. He has a similar stature to Reece James and Udogie and his injury record is allright.

Because Spurs didn't qualify for the CL it will be difficult to find top quality players willing to join them. The striker options available to Spurs are mediocre - Isak is probably the exception. Ezi is the best option as a permanent deal, then a few players on loan to get through next season and qualify for CL. If Spurs qualify for CL 2025-2026 they can then look for higher-quality players. Then there is the rumor of Spurs being sold, partially or whole - the owners won't want to outlay funds that won't add extra financial benefit.

Euros are around the corner. Id expect alot of moves to be made undercover of that. Plus most deals take time. Agents/players/families are waiting to see whats on offer, afraid to jump the gun. Others may not want to go but clubs want them to leave. Lots of balls need juggling.
Too be honest, let skippy have a chance at a decent career, bring KWP in, we can fix club trained issues in the next few years and fill in the RB/LB situation better in future windows.
The other side of the coin is Real Madrid's "negotiating Tactics" Which seems to be... we want your player...of course...your player wants us... so we're going to pay you what we want or there'll be trouble... (ie, your player will kick up a fuss) DannyCOYS ain't playin with them mafia games

I love your content, but I must say…as much as analytics have proven to be useful in successful purchasing, sometimes you simply need to watch the player play. Thanks for the content and keep up the good work
i watch the players s best i can. I use wyscout to dial into departments of their game and watch hours and hours of clips of the same area to see what i think. I just cant show that on RUclips
With Rodon and Skipp going to Leeds. Could that mean Archie Gray is coming? Still left sided centre halves of the right quality available(ish) Agree with Hybrids. Ricardo Calliafori is my choice.
Ito is not a big blow i don't think he would cope with Ange high line and the intensity the league has just get Vanderson he will fit the system like a glove
Money talks and if Madrid offer 70m + for Romero we should take it, and use that money for more players. Dragusin steps in so no worries there. We can bring in Vanderson and Murillo with the money from the Romero sell. That gives us much more to bring in Eze, Toney and maybe Gallagher. and still have money over to buy a back up keeper for Vick, and a LB cover for Udogie. and even a winger. To get 70m+ for Romero would be good business, as we will make a hefty profit on him for the 45m we paid out.
Great news then...Ito is a miss. Romero is our spiritual leader. Not son. Ange demands early raids....we will soon see. I expect we will get 2 key starters at the least ...I hope
Sean maybe stop making assumptions of who we're going for, what positions you think need covering, then missing out on players you think would work. Because it might be a totally different perspective to what ange and the scouting team think is required. Ange might think davies is better than ito. I don't know. But don't get worked up about it. We won't know till the end of the season (if then) if the transfers have improved us.

Also if murrillo costs us 70m and romero gets sold for 85m, we absolutely cannot do business . Romero is world class, our best player behind son.
His camp is looking for a move. That doesn't read to me as Romero wants to move.
Things should start moving next week if not then something is not what it should be
The other side of the coin is Real Madrid's "negotiating Tactics" Which seems to be... we want your player...of course...your player wants us... so we're going to pay you what we want or there'll be trouble... (ie, your player will kick up a fuss) DannyCOYS ain't playin with them mafia games
Slightly and somewhat strangely off topic but why have the canal walks been booted ?
just changing it up.. they will be back.. but bugsy prefers the ball throwing
cant throw balls down the canal, bugsy dictates
Fulham Robinson is really good.
Fuck it lets forget about getting another LB/CB backup instead just keep Reggie and promote Phillips to 4th choice CB
Sometimes players with all the stats come to the prem league and struggle but we shall see
Hey Sean, Walker-Peters made the Championship team of the season… he’s not a bad right back to have as backup?
unenthused about the idea regardless.. skipp won poty in the championship i believe
I find it hard to be optimistic about spurs signings because of two words " Daniel levy" the man doesn't even have spurs interests at heart he's all about putting money into the bank and he doesn't care less about the team and the fans if things don't change we will end up with 3 or 4 players who would at best be squad players if I'm wrong I'll be the first to apologise but I don't think I will be cheers Barry Easthope spurs fan for 52 years
I put these transfer losses purely at Levy's door (after all he has a history of doing this).
You know more than. Me but do we have any kids worth the gamble next season? Philips? Moore, Devine?
I love your content, but I must say…as much as analytics have proven to be useful in successful purchasing, sometimes you simply need to watch the player play. Thanks for the content and keep up the good work
i watch the players s best i can. I use wyscout to dial into departments of their game and watch hours and hours of clips of the same area to see what i think. I just cant show that on RUclips
@@SpursTalkShow I know, it’s more for the people who think statistics are end all be all.
With Rodon and Skipp going to Leeds. Could that mean Archie Gray is coming? Still left sided centre halves of the right quality available(ish) Agree with Hybrids. Ricardo Calliafori is my choice.
Calafiori going to Juve.
Ito is not a big blow i don't think he would cope with Ange high line and the intensity the league has just get Vanderson he will fit the system like a glove
Bugsy has a point to be fair...
I fear this is going to be another disappointing transfer window!
Great news then...Ito is a miss. Romero is our spiritual leader. Not son. Ange demands early raids....we will soon see. I expect we will get 2 key starters at the least ...I hope
Standing still again while others move levynomics
He’s not in charge of transfers now mate
Sean maybe stop making assumptions of who we're going for, what positions you think need covering, then missing out on players you think would work.
Because it might be a totally different perspective to what ange and the scouting team think is required.
Ange might think davies is better than ito. I don't know.
But don't get worked up about it.
We won't know till the end of the season (if then) if the transfers have improved us.
it's just daily news content mate, im just reacting to the news and if i feel strongly about a players value and then they go elsewhere i can be disappointed. Im not angry with the club
@@SpursTalkShownot a dig. Just we don't know what the plan is.
We just get media speculation. Which yes you have to report and yes have an opinion.
You just seemed a little bit annoyed. (Which you might well have a right to be). But we won't know till we see until the plan unfolds.
Don't get me wrong. We've been let down plenty of times before.
Levy will take them to the cleaners 🤣🤣🤣
No point lingering about Ito, he’s chosen Bayern. Just move on now. We’re not going to plug all the holes this window. Much ado about nothing.
Would Ito have left Germany? Seems easy option
Sorry Ito did not pick Bayern they had an option on him so he had no say, So do your homework?
