Nothing brings to life the magic and charm of “Cars” like the sight of a sentient fuel tanker bursting into flames... Then again, they did depict a car being tortured to death in “Cars 2,” so I guess this is right on the money. Burn, baby, burn!
I rode it before and after the cars overhaul, and let me tell you, it SUCKS. They removed an entire scene from the original ride (which was already pretty lacking) just because they didn't have the space to keep it, except they didn't replace it with anything ! So now we have this half-assed ride sitting in the very back of the park that everyone will forget about if they even knew it existed in the first place
as i kid i went to this attraction. they ruined it now. You could have seen many old film objects from other movies. and a destroyed londen with a dragon inside spewing fire. Now its only on my cd.
As someone from Louisiana, it made me laugh when Mater started speaking french because it makes him sound cajun. But wtf is with that sad little Eiffel tower in the woods ? This ride needs to be torn down like now and a real cars ride built on that spot.
This attraction just REEKS temporary. Something to keep around so they don't have yet another closed ride in Walt Disney Studios, which until Avengers Campus opens is half closed down. Seriously, the land this ride takes could probably house a version Radiator Springs Racers. It would also be ideal. RSR has a lot of mountain background. Make it the orange-y type of rock on the Worlds of Pixar side and the greyish colour fitting the Frozen land on the other side! But this is Disneyland Paris. The Indiana Jones rollercoaster was also supposed to be temporary...
Disney has completed their transformation into Universal Studios. Instead of building a proper attraction, it's now a tram tour. Walt was about inspiration and immersion not slogging film franchises by turning the park into one big film marketing campaign.
They basically took the Studio Tram Tour that opened with the park, cut everything but Catastrophy Canyon (which was the only good thing about it anyway), and slapped some Cars stuff on it.
It's the hope that eventually Radiator Springs Racers is what they'll put there. There's probably enough room, and the rock work can be redecorated to fit the Frozen land on the other side. But this is Disneyland Paris we're talking about...
They opened the Ratatouille ride in 2014, which was the last proper new ride opened at the resort. Currently all the focus is on Avengers Campus, the artificial lake and Frozen land. This Cars ride is just a cheap placeholder utilising part of the Tram Tour. It's sad, but it's a people eater attraction to make the current state of Walt Disney Studios not as much of a joke as it already is.

You don't really miss anything, though, as depending on who goes first the other replies in sentences like "You need to go to the toilet? It's over there." You know, like a R2-D2/C-3PO dialogue. There are a number of rides, like Star Tours and The Tower of Terror, where you can request the original version instead of the French dub. "Request" is the key word here, as you have to get really lucky to get an accomodating cast member.
@@EspenSGX DLP's Tower of Terror used to only be in french or in english and you'd have to request the english version to get that version of the ride. But now with the new drop sequences and scenes, instead of the narrator, a little girl talks throughout the ride's scenes in english and in french, reciting one line in french, then the equivalent in english.
Man the cars road trip is so boring why did they even make this they could have expanded toy story land or make a whole new ride entirely instead making this piece of garbage. And how is this a kids ride this is literally boring to a small kid. Why not expand the new space of the Walt Disney studios to have a whole new small area
