The effects were exactly the same as in the old ride. The only difference was in the old ride you got to go around to the back side of the canyon to see all the tanks and pumps that made the effect possible.
So, ever since the concept art was released, I've always found it so disturbing that you go and watch this Dinoco truck - who is obviously ALIVE - get burned by the explosion. Not only that, but now you see him get waterboarded by the flood (which by the way, would not have put out the fire considering it was an oil fire, thus teaching kids a very bad way of trying to put it out), and dangle off a cliff. We never see if he's able to pull himself up. Did anybody at Imagineering stop to think about how morbid this is?! This is everything that I DON’T want the Splash Mountain retheme to look like! 😡
If the splash mountain retheme ends up being cheap and rushed I will be so extremely sad
i remember dlrpfans (a youtuber who pratically lives at disneyland paris) mentioned they will open a cars attraction named cars road trip, but i didn't hear about it again until i watched this video and remembered this
Disney World Hollywood Studios should've done the same thing!!!! 😭
Also, the ride is pretty short and it's actually cute! 😁
Wasn’t this ride 4x the length before it’s reskin? What about the street scene?
Everybody is sad here, but I think the Canyon was awesome! I was very happy to see this in the parc!
That was IT?! They actually managed to make it worse than the original tram tour! 🤦🏻♂️
Nothing can be worse than Fast and Furious
Disney: Hold my Dole whip
i love that they used the trams from disneyland for the ride with a european tractor. really is a neat idea for a ride, but so short, and slow. perhaps down the line they will engineer a better ride with more road. i mean if they had a portion where the ride made a crossover or went in a cave...that would add something. tbh though, the ride feels exactly like the universal studio tour if it was super short.
We are trapped. Immobile. Tires unmoving, mouths locked in rictus-grins, the thinnest facade of joy. Only our eyes are free to move, pleading for release from this torment. Release that will never come. But it is not enough that we suffer, our pain must be on display. Endless parades of gape-mouthed children view this grim spectacle. Some laugh. Most sit quietly, unsure of what it is they're seeing. All are witness to this eternal hell. Welcome to Cars Road Trip, exit through the gift shop s'il vous plaît.
Disney Parks Attractions that have opened since COVID
2020→ ROTR🤯 MMRR😋 Beauty and the beast (TDL)😍 BAYMAX(TDL)🥳
2021→Spiderman😨 Cars😇
Could this be the worst year for attractions?
What’s wrong with spiderman the tech is rly dope
@@z-man8219 it’s literally Toy Story mania but your shooting shite stuff out your hands
Ummm...this looks so bad. It's a "studio tour" themed around cars but no cars are moving lol...this is on par to be like Supercharged in Universal bad...
This is like Heimlich’s Choo Choo Train, but it’s boring and makes Fast & Furious Supercharged look more entertaining. I really enjoyed the camera work though!
Just want I thought!
Great minds think alike!
Lol
9:05 riminds me of the Studio Backlot Tour from MGM. RIP
I'd rather be riding the backhoe over the fence at 2:25
I Wonder if that means like someone else said they will be adding more to the attraction at a later date
@@Disneyfan1955 it would look that way. seems like a long walk just for 1 attraction.
I guess if you needed a break, it is a nice relaxing ride, but nothing new. It is just the old backlot tour with re-imagined characters. The only thing different in catastrophe canyon was the truck. The effects were exactly the same as in the old ride. The only difference was in the old ride you got to go around to the back side of the canyon to see all the tanks and pumps that made the effect possible.
Use of plexiglass was well done
So, ever since the concept art was released, I've always found it so disturbing that you go and watch this Dinoco truck - who is obviously ALIVE - get burned by the explosion. Not only that, but now you see him get waterboarded by the flood (which by the way, would not have put out the fire considering it was an oil fire, thus teaching kids a very bad way of trying to put it out), and dangle off a cliff. We never see if he's able to pull himself up. Did anybody at Imagineering stop to think about how morbid this is?! I mean, I get that we have Haunted Mansion and Phantom Manor and all of that, but at the very least, the deaths in there are more implied rather than actually shown.
It just seems wrong now that the truck is alive and they just leave him with a burnt ass
Huge DLP advocate here, but even I can't pull any good points from this.
