Hi Tomlin...even though your channel is a business (I say that kindly), I feel you SO Genuinely want to help the majority of Harmonica player's at different levels. To take away that intimitading feeling, and fill us with the Love and Knowledgeb of this great sounding instrument. That's all before any consideration of joining or any mention of any kind of payment. Oh yes indeed, a Fine Scotsman in Tomlin Leckie. Happy Harpin.
Just started jamming after some lock down learning of the harp, very supportive people at The South Coast Blues Jam, shout out to Steve and Rusty - thanks for the encouragement. I'd say i had better numbers when i was really focused on locking in with the drummer and getting in the rhythm, I had/have a propensity to speed up in a solo and have skipped beats because of this. Learn the major and minor scale incase there are any curveball numbers - check if its a major/minor blues. There's always going to be someone better tan you there - learn from them and what they are doing, as a harmonicist we don't always have to play...just some advice i've picked up in the last couple of sessions!
Hello Tomlin.I hear Baby scratch my back in the background:)now i'm learning it too:)i like it alot:)Thank you Tomlin:).25 and 14 octaves on Bb harp....hard and beautiful work:)
Nice. Finally someone made sure that the important things are being said. If more People would act like it making music would become more popular... Thanks for the Video Tomlin :D
Fantastic video well constructed and presented. You have discussed every thought that goes through anyone mind considering to jam with anyone let alone a band on stage with an audience, likely containing your friends. Then again you've been through it yourself 😮 well done.
@@ryanstapleford4407 they didn't let me go up :'( lol it was supposed to be open with musicians rotating, but they changed their minds at the last minute and it was just the band playin.... i guess it'll be next time :P

Thanks for the advice! What about inserting a bit at the end of a phrase. Is that allowed?
Hi Donna, of course 🙂
Good luck finding jam sessions in my country lol. Everyone in Africa obsessed with hip hop and rap...so tired of that...so tired.
_First!_ Thanks for the tips, mate!
Hey Tomlin, what happened to Dela Croix? Hope U reply 🙏🏽
Due to restrictions of in person events, we've paused the band's activity. 🙂
@@TomlinHarmonica thanks mate. Hope to hear more from the band when the time is right 👍🏽
First jam was really scary.
