Yes the speech was awesome, the car stands out, exactly what Jaguar wants, the advertising jag did was brilliant it cought more attention then any advert i know out there, but when you have a pile of shit its still shit regardless of what you do.
@@lastshadowman I don't think the ad was really LGBT. I've met a fair number fo LGBT people in my life (a few relatives, kids I went to school with, now i see on social media, neighbors, coworkers, friends, yes, friends), and none of them have looked like that ad. The people I have met are generally pretty normal. I would categorize the ad as fashion-runway-show / modern art, which makes sense considering where they revealed the 00. I am not part of that high-fashion world, but we have all seen videos of the models wearign ridiculous outfits walking down runways. I don't know if anyone actually buys those clothes, but I thik somehow, they influence the clothes that are eventually produced, that we all wear. I'm thinking that's what this is somehow.
Seeing the whole reveal here makes me feel a lot better about the whole thing. I like the inclusion of humor in the video; at first I thought it was a really well-done spoof. I'm not thrilled with the concept car, but what it sounds like they are saying is that they are still going to keep traditional Jaguar proportions of long hood/short trunk/low roof. That's OK, the best looking cars in the world have been following this ideal for decades, although I was really hoping they were going to reveal something truly unusual and unique that would be beautiful, in the best Jaguar tradition. The weirdest part to me is that the real-life cars (presumably mock-ups) look like kinda-crude computer graphics, sitting there in real life. I think that has a lot to do with the paint sheen, somehow, and the colors. The rear window is interesting. This is the first time I saw it retracting from some kind of open position, looking upholstered inside. What is that? If it's a rumble seat, then I will say I"m truly impressed with that. That would truly be a unique new detail, although the driver doesn't get to enjoy it. It's also clear that this isn't a finished car, hopefully Jaguar will take the criticisms seriously and come up with some really awesome production cars. I really hope so. Even though I probably won't be able to afford them it would be nice to see more cool cars on the road.

The car design in itself is interesting but it’s tied to a very lgbt ad campaign so ppl can’t separate the two hence no one will buy it.
