Greek mythology developed over 1,000 years before Christianity, which first developed in the 1st century AD. Most historians agree that the ancient Greek religion was extinguished by the 9th century CE at the latest.

Jesus was likely referring to false gods, not Greek gods, when he said "do not worship other gods before me": Bible references The Bible says that there is only one true God and that false gods are not to be compared to him. The Bible also quotes the commandment "You shall have no other gods before Me" from Exodus 20:3
Conclusion on Worshiping Fake Gods In conclusion, while it is accurate to say that Jesus spoke against idolatry and false gods, it is more nuanced to assert that he was not exclusively referring to Greek gods but rather any form of false worship that detracts from devotion to God. His teachings serve as a timeless reminder about prioritizing one’s relationship with God above all else.
I'm confused...are people finding God after joining a Greek Organization or did these people know God before joining... because a lot of people are quoting scripture after joining not before...also are people researching the organization before joining or only after
Guys and girls these are all Greek organizations and the Greeks are known for worshipping their gods and goddesses. If you believe in Jesus and read the Bible, you know that there is only one true God and we are only to Worship Him and no other gods. “Thou shalt have no gods before me.” You can only worship one God choose wisely my friends. God bless you all! 🙏🙏🙏
@TheHRPodcast Can you offer the answer to this question. I'm sure everyone asking did their own research. And now they are here listening to your video for answers that they might not have saw.
@@Sophine@SstarSiriusA I've had this question as well and did my own research. I heard her speak about a star named Zeta but there is no history anywhere of them relating their name to this star. So... idk.
@@jaiknows2475 look as someone who studies others religions so that I can recognize and not necessarily to join, if there is no name, what are you talking about. Even demonic figures have names. So if she has no answer but "did you study" then I'm taking what she says with the tiniest grain of sand that will never make to the oyster to become a pearl.
So I just have a few questions because I am looking to be apart of the Divine 9, but I also love Jesus and I'm not trying to have any demonic spirits in my household. I guess I'm trying to figure out what God is Zeta Phi Beta praising? You mentioned earlier it was a diety but then you said it was a star, which your referring to Zeta Reticuli which is just the binary star system in the solar system, then you mentioned that being astrology which it's technically astronomy which is actually used in the bible especially when trying to find baby Jesus. I have never been through the intake process or the crossing over process in any sorority, but when you pledge allegiance, isn't that just stating that you're making a formal promise or commitment of loyalty and support? I mean, that is the definition of it. And if not, does that mean we shouldn't be pledging allegiance to the flag?... Sorry I'm just so confused behind the reasoning. I'm all for anybody living their life for Christ, and making sure you have a purpose in God, but all of this isn't making sense to me. I'm very well versed in bible theology and I know you stated Matthew 5:34 but in this scripture Jesus wasn't telling us to not take any oaths or vows whats so ever because thats something we do commenly especially in the US (marriages, court rooms, boys/girls scouts, business committments, civic duties like the military... etc) The intention behind the scripture was Jesus was encouraging honesty and sincerity in communication without the need for additional assurances through oaths that are likely to be meaningless. Let your yes be yes and your no be no, practicing honesty.
Hey wonderful question! I think it’s great to be well versed Bible theology but it’s also great to actually have a relationship with Christ. Maybe you should go study for yourself and that will bring about more of a conviction. The reason you should not pledge your allegiance to a Greek sorority or fraternity as i stated in this video is because they are Greek gods this is a form of idolatry, yes astronomy is in the Bible but you do know in ancient times people used to worship the stars right? Also you should go google and study who the god of zeta phi beta is . Also there is a huge difference when it comes to pledging allegiance to a state and a god I’m sure you know the difference . The Bible clearly talks about leaders and how we are to respect them and follow the laws and things like that. I’m not here to build up or give you your own conviction what I’m here to do is show what God has showed me and so many others and based off of that it should create a curiosity in you ( if you really love Jesus beyond superficial status and earthly things) to go and search out the matter. Also spiritual things are not discerned intellectually…. Just saying .
@TheHRPodcast Absolutly, having a relationship with God is very important and I have been praying on this for months and God has been showing me scrpiture and context in his word that doesn't condemn anything like a sorority. I agree that he condemns serving false God's but when looking into each sorority, there isn't a diety nor a specific star connected to it. Yes certain ancient Greeks worshipped stars but there isn't a specific star for Zeta Phi Beta or any of the other sororities. While researching, I should be able to have reliable sources that state what diety is connected to what, especially dealing with a sorority. I came across a few blogs and youtube videos which isn't necessarily concrete proof. Not to mention the name Zeta Phi Beta are just Greek letters of the Greek alphabet, so the correlation has to make sense. Unless you seen things in the sorority that the public isn't privy too. If that's the cause then you should speak about what it is specifically you saw and had to say in pledging your oath to the sorority. Nobody should leave their environment/social circle because everyone else is doing it. if God called you and those specific people out to denounce then great, but that doesn't mean it makes sense to the rest or give them concrete reason to do so.
All these denouncing videos really are entertaining. Just say you changed your mind. These organizations are not demonic. Like any group of people, you may have demonic (human) behaviors . Do you sis.
@os3734 facts for some people it just sounds like they were talked out of their organization by people who didn't approve, which isn't cool. I mean to each it's own, but stuff isn't adding up when they're giving their reasoning.
I’m a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. and we don’t pledge no allegiance to any idols/Greek gods. To be honest, we just use the Greek alphabet. And we don’t even use the correct pronunciation as the Greeks say our organizations name either. Yes, I am a born again, spirit filled Christian and also a legacy. I always put Christ at the center of everything I do. Including when it comes to sorority business. The rituals are simply that, traditions. But if that’s how you feel and YOU felt a conviction then I understand. That’s just not the case for everyone.
Yeah, because if you really study the history, learn the founders' stories and why they formed each of these organizations, you will realize how foolish all these denouncing videos are. These were 19-22 year old students, not worried about any idol worship. Just ridiculous.
@kactusJacko your comment alone demonstrates that you stand convicted! 46While Jesus was still talking to the crowd, his mother and brothers stood outside, wanting to speak to him. 47Someone told him, “Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to speak to you.” 48He replied to him, “Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?” 49Pointing to his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers. 50For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.” (Matthew 12:48-50)
