- It looks like we can squeeze in an Eggplant post this week! More KALX coming next week.
Here is another Tall Tim board tape- the mix was nice, but it was light in vocals and a couple other areas (my PC blue screened before I captured the Izotope settings), I think it sounds pretty good for all that's going on onstage at a Beatnigs show.
For the uninitiated, Beatnigs were Franti's early band. You won't hear "sound of sunshine" here! Discogs has this to say about them: Combined hardcore punk, industrial and hip hop influences, described as an avant-garde industrial jazz poets collective. Michael Franti and Rono Tse went on to form The Disposable Heroes Of Hiphoprisy, Kevin Carnes later founded Broun Fellinis.
Recorded by: Tall Tim
Transfer by: Shayne Stacy
Equipment used: Nakamichi Dragon and M-Audio Audiophile 2496 card
Rebalance in Izotope Rx8: Vocals up, and I think I boosted drums.

yo I know almost nothing about Beatnigs (other than the fact that they're one of the best bands ever) so any help with the tracklist by some more proficient appreciator of their music would be very welcome
