I would like the RFT 17. I like how it can be combined with umbrella. I am a wedding, portrait and general event photographer. The functionality of some of these light reflectors are new to me! Go Godox!
Wow, I didn’t know Godox made all those reflectors 😊👌🏾. I would most likely use the RFT-13 or RFT-14 combined with an umbrella to boost the light output, and still use smaller lights like the 100 or 200 pro. I typically shoot fashion, fashionable portraits, and dance.
Definitely the RFT-14 with grid and BD! I am an on location and studio portrait photographer and this would be ideal for it's versatility with mounting accessories and specifically it's ability with the grid and BD to narrow and control the light 😍
I have and use the RTF-14 with Barn doors with a grid every time im using a hard rim or hair light, gives me the desired effect with minimum spill on the background or subject, and makes attaching gels very fast and easy.
You did a really good job on this video. Almost all manufacturers could take a lesson from this on how the properly differentiate their products. And your ability to be very creative was evident. On another note, I have come to rely on godox AD200s.
I just bought my first godox strobe which I plan to take my first shots with this weekend. The umbrella RFT 17 and the RFT 18 background are two in extremely interested in.
I'm pretty much Studio photographer the most of the time, I've been using standard reflector by now with barn door and gels, but I really like the RFT-13 and the RFT-18 are amazing modifiers and will allow me to improve some concepts.
I use color gels often, sometimes to affect/control white balance, but more often to give splashes of color, especially if they enhance the mood or story of the picture. I love grids to help control the spill of light, but I haven’t had a chance to use barndoors yet. Umbrellas or softboxes are always part of my shooting kit. 👍
RTF-14 would be my reflector of choice, because of it versatility and increased light output. I'd use it in the studio and outside for fashion and portrait photography.
Doing mostly portrait work in studio and location settings, I've been looking into the RFT-18 for better light control. One item I think Godox REALLY needs is to make a Fresnel lens that is directly mounted for ML60 and other godox mounts. I love all my godox lighting but really kills the storage space taking along adapter brackets when trying to travel lightly.. #Godox #WL4B
What an amazing line of products. In my case, I have a home studio. Lighting the background without lighting my subject is a problem. Using Cine foil has been my go-to. I would like to try the RFT-18 modifier to see if it would produce better results and look good while doing it.
Hi Aries, thanks for another insightful video. I use the Godox BD-10 kit to gel and grid the standard reflector on my Godox AD-300 Pro. I also use the Godox AD-R12 long focus reflector on my AD-300 Pro. Hard light can be awesome when it's wielded with deliberate intention! 😊
Which reflector would you choose? Do you combine color gel, grid, barndoor or umbrella with your reflector? For what kind of photo shoots do you do? Comment below and leave your email address for a chance to win a #Godox #WL4B.
I would love to use the RFT-14 with all the possibilities of combining it with barn doors, grids and gels to make my portraits pop, with more dimensions, layers, contrast and unique patterns of light. My e-mail: flmalta@gmail.com Thanks for another inspiring video with Aries!
I use standard reflector and RFT-19 on outdoor photography also using grid and gel to add some drametic light. For studio lighting I use P90 and stripbox. I shoot portrait and fashion. My email nopparat99@hotmail.com
I have only one V1 flash so far and using the godox softbox for the weddings. So have to make it best from whatever accessories I own. Overall it also depends on the tricks and skills.
RTF 14 would allow you combine the barn doors and color gels. The extra 2/3 stop of light will give more room for my AD600 too. I am into Wedding and portrait photography. Thx
RFT-13 since I love the HARD LIGHT and strong contrast from light to dark editorial studio shots, would use the RFT-18 also for backround or light shaping . Thank you!
I just started using the AD 300 Pro and got the RFT-14 kit. I am looking to use it to combat the sun, but use gel's. I do portrait photography, but mostly wedding photography and am looking for this kit (AD 300 x2) to bring my lighting to the next level. I guess a softbox will be my next experiment.
Awesome video! I would choose the RTF-14 for the extra output it delivers since most of my shoots are outdoor and I love the fact that you can add the color gels and the grid directly to it, that would definitely help a lot with the process.
1 stop extra light on the 13? That’s insane. I could use that on my 2 ad200s for up to 800+ watts according to this. I may have to add one to the arsenal right NOW! 💪🏽
RFT-18 for back lighting for portrait and fashion to get the light shaping around the client when shooting for that contrasty look or with a soft box for glamour and fashion
Very interesting. I routinely use my Godox AD200s as fill outdoors. Sounds like rft13 will give me and added boost to my output for those times I'm competing with the sun
If I had I would have use RFT -14 it looks quite versitile and gives more flexibility to try something creative and yes i would love to use this on my potrait sessions. ❤️
I would go for the RFT-13 as it gives me more light output to battle the sun outdoors. If I'm indoors I usually use an AD100 pro for fill with gels or for the background and if I need barndoors or a grid I use the AK-R1 Kit with it but I don't combine any reflectors with gels or barndoors. I do mostly action portraits of dancers or circus artists as well as fine arts nude portraits but I also love to just experiment with all the tools I have.
I would definitely get the RFT-14 for the various combinations of Grids, Gels and Barn Doors for dramatic portraits. I think I would get the RFT-13 too, though, to get extra power in the midday sun, which is always useful. To be honest I would get them all, if I could! 🤣
Rather late then never I guess... 1. RFT-14 2. I mostly shoot outdoor content, my niche borders more on fashion and conceptual photography. Hope I get the free gift. A Godox AC400 would totally change my life.
I wish I would have had this video three weeks ago. Good video overall. I like how you showed the pattern, explaining the added power however is it due to the diameter of the reflections that they dont accept the barn doors and grids? Also there was no mention of the magnum reflector.
Great video show casing the various Godox reflectors. I'd certainly be interested in the RFT-13/14 and the RFT-18 for portraiture and location shoots. Where is the best place to purchase them in the UK?
RFT-14 This is because I shoot beauty and portraits and I mostly use soft/diffused light. Now that I am emerging into the world of fashion, hard light really interests me and introducing it in my beauty shot will be a great experience. #godox #godoxalltheway
Q: Which reflector would you choose? A: It depends on the need at any specific time. That said, I'm very interested in trying the RFT-18 for lighting the background during portrait shoots. It would eliminate my need for barn doors and a grid to prevent light spilling onto the model. Q: Do you combine color gel, grid, barndoor or umbrella with your reflector? A: I often use grids on softboxes to prevent light from spilling onto the background or onto the ceiling and spreading light everywhere. I use flags for that too. I use colored gels for the background. Furthermore, I use gobos; sometimes in an optical snoot. Q: For what kind of photo shoots do you do? A: I mostly shoot portraits - indoors and outdoors.
I would like to use the ad300 pro for my outdoor portrait sessions because of its portability & small size. But my question is: Is it compatible with my SB-5000 Nikon speedlights (to be used altogether)? Thanks 🌹
Last week i shot a model with 2 godox tt600 with my sony a7ii. i combined the the modifier kit such as grid and dome in the process, and i believe there are many addition potential to my image if i have the ad600 at the moment. i love my speedlites btw. thanks godox i hope i can win the giveaway. :D
What is the dedicated reflector for the SK300-II? The Godox 7” that I purchased, the umbrella hole is in the wrong location. I wrote to Godox, asked B&H, nobody knows. Thanks.
anyone knows why the RFT-17 umbrella holder is not designed to be placed in line with the godox flashes umbrella hole? or it’s just only me? this video demonstrated the RFT-17reflector equipped with small flash, but what about AD600 and the other types?
Light modifiers do not increase the flash output of a flash they only present the luminance of the flash in a more efficient manner, or they degrade the efficiency of the luminance such as the crappy reflectors provided with the pro series Godox flash units. Your 600 watt flash did not increase in flash power to a 1500 watt flash nor did it even increase the apparent flash power to a 1500 watt flash, the 600 watt flash only ever had a maximum flash output of 600 watts.
I have only one V1 flash so far and using the godox softbox for the weddings. So have to make it best from whatever accessories I own. Overall it also depends on the tricks and skills.
This is the best video for reflectors I have come across, thank you 🙂
Glad it was helpful!
I would like the RFT 17. I like how it can be combined with umbrella. I am a wedding, portrait and general event photographer. The functionality of some of these light reflectors are new to me! Go Godox!

RTF-14 is my go to! I love a grid for when I’m mixing with an overhead umbrella.
For Portraits I like to use RFT14 with Barndoors to achieve a Studio Harcourt like look
I have and use the RTF-14 with Barn doors with a grid every time im using a hard rim or hair light, gives me the desired effect with minimum spill on the background or subject, and makes attaching gels very fast and easy.
RTF-14 is best for me. Adding the color gel and barnbox gives a solid looks and beauty on the image that adds life on it
Which reflector would I use? All of them. Great product line-up. Mostly portrait and fashion photography. Another excellent video.
1. I would use the RFT-13
2. I typically combine the barndoor and gel combination to my setup
3. I use this combination for my fashion shoots.

Thank you so much for the informative video on Godox reflectors! Good luck!
Definitely the RTF-14 is the best for all kind of outdoor shoots.. Interesting tutorial

Am looking forward to trying out the RF 13, is looks perfect for events during the harsh sunlight

I love the RFT 14, and definitely use it with gels and barndoors to control the light even further for when I'm creating more editorial portraits.

I would love to try most of them, only have beauty dish and an umbrella at the moment for portraits. Nice content Godox!.
RFT-13 since I love the HARD LIGHT and strong contrast from light to dark editorial studio shots, would use the RFT-18 also for backround or light shaping . Thank you!
Rft 17 and Rft 14 is my chose. For control the light and to use with deep silver umbrela
I would choose the RFT-14 because of the flexibility of add-ons for my portrait and product images.
I just started using the AD 300 Pro and got the RFT-14 kit. I am looking to use it to combat the sun, but use gel's. The RFT-14 with the grid / colour gel kit looks amazing! Really great for my portrait work as well as product photography too
I would love the RFT-14 it seems what I need. I do love using gels and grid to add color to certain parts of my images. I do mostly fashion portraits
Very interesting. I routinely use my Godox AD200s as fill outdoors. Sounds like rft13 will give me and added boost to my output for those times I'm competing with the sun
RTF 13 because of the hard light, wonderful!!!!
I would use the Godox RFT-14 reflector along with BD-04 barndoor and color gel to produce creative light onto the subject for portrait photoshoots.
If I had I would have use RFT -14 it looks quite versitile and gives more flexibility to try something creative and yes i would love to use this on my potrait sessions. ❤️

RFT 14 with barndoor for a fashion style shoot.
I would like to use the ad300 pro for my outdoor portrait sessions because of its portability & small size. But my question is: Is it compatible with my SB-5000 Nikon speedlights (to be used altogether)?
Thanks 🌹
Probably RTF-14 with grid for narrowing and controlling light on my portraiture shootings.
Will I be able to attach an umbrella to the Godox S2 bracket with the GODOX RFT-19 reflector?
I love to use rft-14 with simple gels to pop the background
I would love to get those rft-14 since I'm using a lot of gel into my work!
Where can I purchase honeycomb grids for the RFT-13 8.3" reflector? I cannot find anything compatible for it
@Godox Global which reflector gives the most even spread of light? I'm looking for something wide that has the least amount of falloff near the edges.
RFT-14 i use for product shot.
RFT 13 would be fun to play with location portraits or studio product.
GODOX MF12 is small and portable, and can make wonderful films anytime, anywhere
I do portrait, wedding, commercial and gel always in my bag
RFT-14 seems the best, used with gel
Please anyone advise which Godox Studio Light model/type that support HSS and also which trigger & reciever model for my Sony A6600 camera?
Does the RFT 19 work with the Godox ad 600
Can I use bandor kit & grid with rft 13 with my ad600 pro ??
I would like to have RFT-18, for creative portraits and headshots ...i use gels a lot

RFT 14 IS GREAT
Can the rft 13 be mounted on the AD200 pro?
I like to use gels and barndors. I shoot portretts
What is the dedicated reflector for the SK300-II? The Godox 7” that I purchased, the umbrella hole is in the wrong location. I wrote to Godox, asked B&H, nobody knows. Thanks.
Hi! You may buy it from here: www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1342654-REG/godox_photo_equipment_rft_standard_reflector_bowen.html

Rft13 to increase Light output for outdoor.
RTF 14, I shoot portraits and fashion
❤
anyone knows why the RFT-17 umbrella holder is not designed to be placed in line with the godox flashes umbrella hole? or it’s just only me?
this video demonstrated the RFT-17reflector equipped with small flash, but what about AD600 and the other types?
now that I see 5:00 seems like they designed the holder’s position in purpose. I guess to mimic profoto umbrella hole position.
叶师傅
i like them all! but no money for that.
Please add support for Google pixel 4a smartphone so I can use flash while taking photos on his camera.

Watt?? Are you sure...600 watt to be 1500 Watt..without any convert the energy...LOL...this about the light not the Watt...P=W/t 😂😂😂😂
Pls get someone that can speak English!!!!
I have only one V1 flash so far and using the godox softbox for the weddings. So have to make it best from whatever accessories I own. Overall it also depends on the tricks and skills.
I think I would choose the RFT 14 and 17 for my portrait , for the versatility using umbrella and gel
