- The more I wear it, the more I like it. Fit for me is outstanding. I'll do another review in 6 months but my initial reaction couldn't be any better. If I had to have "one" do it all wader it would be the RS from Skwala. I do love my Carbon wader for hot days, cold water, or when I'm hiking and sweating a lot. But for all around angling the RS excellent.

Thank you for the review Jow. What is your opinion about durability compared to Simms G4?
So far I'm bone dry in these, like dry DRY. Only long term will tell, but so far so good. They breathe very well.
Really enjoy your reviews. How do Skwala sizing in the feet compare to Simms? I have a size 8 foot. Will the Skwala 9-11 foot size be too big and uncomfortable?
Hard to say on that sizing, but our returns are simple. Order it, try it, then wear it or return it. We have super simple returns.
Many times, inevitably, I'm in deep water (duck hunting) that is right at the top of the waders.
Are the top pockets waterproof? Does any water get into those pockets?
Is the "thin stretchy material" neoprene? Does water leak through that material and leak into the pocket?
They are not. I get it, sometimes you gotta wade out there and retrieve that decoy... or that duck.
Joe, have you tried or are you familiar with grundens? Looking a skawala or grundens.

We sell Grunden's but haven't personally had a chance to use them. Haven't heard anything negative, but currently nobody on staff is using them so I would be fibbin' ya with any opinions. I've been wearing the Skwala RS daily. Bone dry, love the fit, pockets, shoulder harness, etc. Really happy with this product.

How do these breathe compared to Simms G4Z's?
Very hard to say. I think "clean" waders are going to always breathe better. My old G4Z's probably need a wash. So.... the Skwala breathes better now but that might be a maintenance issue.
Carbon or RS for trout fishing? Only one pair.
How old are you. Is it getting harder to bend over and do you have to take a leak a lot.
