    On the morning of January 29, 2022, John O'Keefe's body was found on a snowy lawn in front of the home of fellow police officer Brian Albert. The night before, he had gone to a bar with his girlfriend, Karen Read, as well as some friends and acquaintances, including Brian. because there's so much evidence of a cover-up. Like the missing shoe, missing hat and such... like those things wouldn't be missing if Karen had hit him with a car. The Alberts had to get rid of those items because they were probably chewed up by the dog. There's just so much evidence of a cover-up it's crazy this ever went to trial.

      At 12:15 the snow had just begun to stick if you see the weather reported the next day it was a historic blizzard dumping 26 inches of snow overnight all around Boston and surrounding towns. By 5 am there's at least 6 to 12 inches in the yard as evidenced by amount of snow on top of parked cars and roofs as well as yards and if a snow plow had to plow at two thirty am there had to be lots of snow to require a plowing. Ok but Jen said that when they got to John's house that KR showed her and Carrie Roberts her cracked taillight before going inside the house at 45:22. The video Lally displays at 58:49 shows the 3 of them getting out of the car and going straight inside. There's clearly no way that Karen could have pointed out the crack like Jen claims, it legitimately does not happen on the CW's (prosecution's) video evidence.
    I felt like she was deliberately embellishing the story to make it worse for KR. There is obvious proof it didn't happen the way Jen claims.... I feel like she did the same thing with a lot of her testimony. @basicallyno1722 14 дней назад

      No we won’t always have sirens, especially when there’s no need to secure traffic and no cars in the road. It actually causes more alarm and interferes with patient care when there’s no reason to have it on. We don’t even use the sirens during most priority 2 calls…the only reason we would is when we’ve got to get to a location quickly and there’s traffic issue. Sometimes we’ll turn off the siren and turn it on when approaching red lights. Having your sirens blaring can sometimes cause more chaos in drivers and they’ll do all sorts of weird things on the road. That’s why we just use them during serious calls and during transport of a patient in life-threatening conditions.

    I have a lot of questions about Jen's testimony. KR kept screaming "Jen, Jen" but also imparted a bunch of information to you? Which was it and in what order? Are you really testifying that she just would randomly start screaming your name in between sentences? Didn't that suggest to you that perhaps this woman needed medical attention? Also, didn't you say that JOK's niece was the one who called but that Jen was there and took the phone? Does that mean niece was there during the search? She didn't seem to be mentioned. If KR had mentioned she would be coming to Jen's house, why did she have to stand outside the house screaming "Jen"? Perhaps she no longer had niece's phone and was wondering why tf you went back to bed instead of looking out for her? You go on and on about how irrationally she's asking and instead of deciding there's a serious problem here, you decide to judge her for not taking her shoes off in John's house? Also wouldn't KR have just come from John's house since KR was with the niece? I assume niece wasn't staying at KR's house, right? Even if you thought KR was irrational, did you also think niece wasn't in a state of mind to think John might just be in a different room in the same house? You opted to drive to his house and check all the rooms? Why?
    This is barely the tip of the iceberg too. The snow on John's body was apparently wiped off after KR tried applying skin to skin. They said to try mouth to mouth despite him gurgling up blood... I'm not saying it's all lies, obviously everyone seems to be corroborating that KR was yelling and acting irrationally that morning, but there seems to be serious inconsistencies in both the narrative as well as Jen's interpretation of events. She goes on and on and on about all the screaming and craziness but then takes her at face value when she supposedly hears "I hit him". This is the same woman who just had blood from her dead boyfriend fall on her hands and she asked if she was having her period. Obviously completely out of her mind, if this testimony is to be believed.

  • @ashley4290
    @ashley4290 14 дней назад +6

    1:30:00 in and if blood is gushing out if his mouth when they tried to do CPR, wouldn't he need to have been hit REALLY aggressively by her suv - fast speed, hard - for there to be internal bleeding? Yet the only notable damage is on his arm and head. This whole case is so damn 🐟

    • @HMS7359
      @HMS7359 8 дней назад

      First, I totally agree the case feels weird. Second, in regard to the blood, you don't need internal bleeding for that scenario. I don't know what the medical professionals will say, but significant head trauma, which John O'Keefe clearly had, in particular a 2-inch crack on the back of his skull, can result in bleeding from the nose (even without the nose itself having trauma). Blood coming out of John's nose was reported by multiple witnesses at this point. Since he was lying on his back for some time in the snow, the blood would accumulate in his throat/mouth by draining from his nose (since it's all connected) and then come out of his mouth and throat when the chest compressions started. Thus, blood comes out of the mouth without internal bleeding. I also believe I read that his lungs were clear; which means the blood wasn't from there. I know there was internal organ damage from the hypothermia (e.g. pancreas), but I don't think that would cause the blood to come out of his mouth - though, I'm not certain.
      Interestingly, hypothermia below a certain temp (maybe 33 degrees C = 91 degrees F) can decrease the ability of the body to coagulate blood. The blood viscosity does increase, meaning it might "gum up" some, but it generally won't form actual clots to stop the bleeding as effectively as usual. Vomiting (found in his mouth and on his clothes) and raccoon eyes (the "black eyes" people keep mentioning) are also consistent with head trauma.
      (Caveat: I'm a biologist but not a medical professional; so, I can find and understand technical medical information, but I have no practical or in-depth expertise.) From what I can tell, head trauma seems to account for most of the medical findings. Head trauma could happen from an auto-pedestrian collision, a fight, or even an accidental fall. I hope someone testifies about the fracture type/pattern since that can give information.
      The abrasions on John's arm are an interesting feature that doesn't directly match head trauma. I'd want to see the ultrastructure and tissue samples of the wounds to understand their shape, depth, and tissue disturbance pattern in more detail. I suspect experts on both sides will discuss that.

    Judge: “Counsel, why don’t you show her another picture because this one isn’t working”. Soooo, is she the commonwealth’s co-counsel??? It’s so weird to me how she interjects when she feels like it. I’m not fluent in all the duties of a judge but I know that they’re supposed to be unbiased, and maintain decorum and decency. Along with a host of things like jury instructions and rulings on motions and objections. What I didn’t think a role was to interject different ways for either lawyers to lawyer. Like having one not say “of course”, but allowing the other to say “what if anything”, the example above and when defense had a picture up and without knowing for sure it wasn’t needed still for testimony, instructed to take it down and turn up the lights. I feel like she’s the type who’s overturned a lot.

      I think the mccabes were involved in the cover up but probably not in the dead. There is a K9 unit cop on youtube who has seen many many hundreds of bites of german shepards and he says Johns arm are clearly dog bites. He also demonstrates with fake silicone arms from his training. It looks exactly like John's arm. Cuts, not puncture wounds because german sheperds bite and pull.

    Also, how would Karen have driven to the Albert’s house if she didn’t know where the Albert’s house was if she left John at the bar? But two people testified they saw a woman which could have been Karen in her suv outside the house.
    John needed directions to get to the Albert’s house. Jen spoke to John giving him directions as to where the Albert’s house was. He didn’t know where the Albert’s house was. And Karen only recalls leaving John at The Waterfall according to Jen’s testimony. Karen wouldn’t want to go to Fairview and be adamant about going to look there if in her mind she left John at the bar. Jen testified to this that she had to inform Karen she saw them outside the Albert’s home. Karen wouldn’t even know the street name “Fairview” if she didn’t remember going there. Why would she state over and over to Jen that she needed to go to Fairview?

    It is interesting how different KRs facial expression is during this witness vs the others. Normally she has raised eyebrows and compressed lips, but for "JEN"s testimony, she is very still, no expression. Body language of someone who knows danger is present and not bringing attention to oneself. I agree, it does sound like she was in shock.

    If she dropped him at that house, why wasn’t she questioning the people that were at the house what happened--what time did he leave--did he leave on foot?

      That's a good point. Like wouldn't she be grilling Jen and Matt, since she knew John texted Jen. KR might have even seen Jen's texts to John if car was still there cuz I know my Bluetooth connects to my car in the driveway if I turn it on when I'm in the house, usually confuses me why I can't hear through my ear buds anymore. So will be interested if prosecution ever makes it clearer what time they think KR hit John.
      But reversely, KR told Jen (according to Jen) that she left him at waterfall, so she's either not remembering the night and where he was or pretending she doesn't.

    I'm looking closely at Jen's texts to John and her first few strike me as strange because it is "Here!?" Like wow, maybe a slip instead of two question marks, so i might give her that, then "Pulll behind me" a few mins later. Then "Hello" no punctuation 9 mins later. Why no question mark? Makes me think of when i shot my first deer and immediately texted my spouse who was on the other side of the woods, the adrenaline made my hands shake so much i was mistyping and weird punctuation. It could be nothing but seeing her other texts later are not like that, why the slipping or missing punctuation or extra letters? Ok now I'm remembering she has MS, so maybe that's why? But other times everything looks fine. Hard for me not to think of shaking hands.
    Then the first "hello" (no question mark), "where are u" comes 2 mins later, "hello" 3 mins after that. Seems fairly insistent if ur waiting in a house not going out to check. I feel like I'd text hello? Then did you decide not to come in? Then go out and look for the car and if gone probably leave it at that. I text my spouse where are you? If he's 20 mins late getting home and don't keep texting, I'll call if i need something immediately. To me it sounds like a worried person.
    But these texts aren't enough to show Alberts or Mcabes part of something, but just the things I'm noticing that may add up with other pieces.

    Too many cases brought forth seem to be about entertainment factor and this one seems a made for tv or a movie. So far all witnesses help Karen, who should not be charged

      I thought she was convincing at points but also seemed extremely rehearsed at others. For example she said the taillight was smashed but then in the video picture from the cop you could not see any damage to the tail light. Definitely nothing like the initial image that showed it missing most of the plastic. Which makes me not trust her testimony
