Both take forward ancient techniques. Both have been specified regionally as these two regions took ti forward right upto today when its demonstrated. So they have taken a unique Id. but the tradition behind them remain far earlier jn time. Same applies to manipur marital arts too.

Kalari is old but today no body knows 18 hands of buddha techniques... All that went to a shaolin masters... They master it.. But we forgot our culture..
Copied Baaghi movie lines , but did you know its called Arhat Mushti in sanskrit and monk Budhabadhra took this technique to China and started shaolin monastery
