- Rock's Thriller was a radio special on Michael Jackson during the peak of Michaelmania - it originally aired on Britain's Radio One in 1984, and was narrated by Bruce Vidal. Enjoy!
The special was originally 90 minutes long, I wasn't able to hunt down the full recording.

I never got the chance to say "thank you" Michael, because I was far too young when you got away...The only thing I can do is to say thank you now, hoping that you can hear me somehow :') if I wish there was a Heaven, it'is because I want you to be there. I hope you are. I feel the same way you do about doing what we think we are born for and creativity. It's really something that steams from your soul. Many people wanted to know you when you were alive, I'm just one of the thousands, and probably you would never aknowledge me. If I had been alive in the 80s I would have gone to every single concert. It's just an empty world knowing that will be no more Michael Jackson concerts. You were right, entertainers can change the world, and the emotions that you shared with us will stay with me forever.
I am young, but this times are so different...back then, you needed to have talent and put your heart in everything you did, to get the attention of people...now is everything about the looks, the hype and the instagram posts. I hate this way of making "art". It's not art, it's market.
I have the full recording! I recorded it to tape when I was a teenager when it aired on Radio 1 in 1984! There was an associated article in the radio times which drew me to it. I am not sure there is much more Michael on the recording…..much of it was music and accolades from people like Rockwell.
