Totally agree! Many people are easily wooed by spectacle of shredding, so the miss the awesomeness of someone who focuses largely on riffs, but Zach really brings is with his playing and tone. And like you said, the video formate, compilation of songs etc. make for really enjoyable watching. I honestly get really board of watching people shredding after a while... I'd much rather listen to someone who hammers out interesting riffs like Malcom Young, Jerry Cantrell, Toni Iommi, James Hetfield etc. Rifflords are where it's at IMO, which is why I love Zach's videos.
I love the fact that you just play the amp with no background track and it always sounds full. You're doing great man! I wish you a lot more subscribers.
Mick said they should've followed up Dr. Feel good with an album built around songs like Primal Scream. John Corabi was a blessing but the fans rejected it at the time. The gunslinger guitarists of all the other bands overshadowed Mick, but he was a monster riff maker and played to the songs.
Just found your channel and I cant believe how much better your audio is that all the other guitar focused channels on RUclips. Well done. I’ve been listening in head phones at work now for an hour with constant stank face!
I have a friend with a Soldano and it was the clean setting that blew my mind. Nice to hear the other ranges it can reach. Marvelous piece of machinery.
Mike Soldano started his world-class amp building career by studying books that were being discarded by a public library. He literally built his knowledge, skill and career out of nothing. That's an inspiring story.
Not every amp works well for Tool. My 6505+ didn't sound right for Tool riffs at all. I think this worked well, even though it doesn't nail their sound (which doesn't matter). I play Tool riffs on my Jet City cheapo clone of this all the time, and they sound good on it.
Find the "FourT6and2" YT channel... dude built an SLO clone "kit" from Rob @ C3 Amps out of TX. He plays plenty of Tool riffs through his setup and the C3 SLO with O'Netics transformers sounds as good if not exactly the same as the real deal. 🤘
I love that squishy, gooey tone you get in the beginning. You can hear the whole thing expand and contract under your fingers. For me, these are absolutely incredible amps. Great cleans, great overdrive, and one of the best crunch channels of any amp in the world.
I appreciate that you don't shy away from providing some honest critique such as on this and the Fender Jazzmaster video. Too many channels IMHO our overly promotional. I was similarly a little bummed to see that you have to choose between two of the three core sounds. Killer playing as always!
Some spectacular amps out there these days in the boutique market, but I swear I ALWAYS come back to the SLO 100. NOTHING sounds like that! The closest thing I've heard that is probably my favorite amp on the planet, right now, is the 3rd Power Kitchen sink. Their hot-rodded plexi circuit is as good as the SL0 (IMO). It's odd that you don't see more of that amp. GREAT video. You showed off the spectacular crunch/super-crunch really well.
ohhh Mannn.. SO SO SOOOOOOO GOOD!!! ... Excellent as always Master Zach!! All the best and thansk for sharing these riffs and talent ;)!! Nuno from Portugal
Zach, your videos are so well made and demos are thorough as can be. You deserve so much more attention. I wish you the best and hope your channel grows. No other channel has such quality reviews of this wide variety of amps. Seriously
Zach! Awesome, but I think the partnership with zzounds is highly beneficial for all. Have them send you a Fryette Deliverance! Maybe a Sound city cab too...Stellar work as always. Looking forward to more. Fantastic!
Thanks for confirming the loop volumes functionality as a master volume. I have a SLO 30 and have been thinking about the 100 as well, but was worried if I could tame it at home. The SLO tone is pretty much it for me, it does everything well. Even the modern stuff, I just throw the Suhr Kokoboost in front and your there.
Had this playing in the background while looking up gear in another tab... then I heard some Dialogue With The Stars. That is awesome man, nice playing :)
That silver flame LP custom with silver top hats and hardware is giving me ( f e e l i n g s ) Another great vid man, you are the tone king! Would be cool to do something together some day!
I heard the dual rec’s OG circuit board was basically a copy of the soldano, after hearing the superunknown riff played through that amp it totally makes sense.
Zach, quality demo. Those amps are incredible. I would love to hear some 80s riffs on this amp. Not the typical 80s riffs just ones that you like that maybe I haven’t heard or heard in a while.
I first tried an SLO in '86 at a boutique shop in Hollywood. If I had the money I would have bought it. Amazing amp. I loved it for that 80s Sunset Strip hot rodded tone. I also love the VHT/Pitbull and the Bogner Ecstasy and Rivera amps. Those were the top amps in L.A. in those days.
Ohh Fuck!!! You're the first player that i see playing Opeth in a Review! Thank you for this awesome performance of Deliverance. With this amp these riffs are so killer!! But i must confess my heart is divided between 5150 or this wonderful Amp made by Mike Soldano Hail From Brazil
Your channel was just recommended for me, that's a really interesting looking les paul and franken strat. Ever considered putting a description of your equipment in the video description? Great tone and playing man.
Love Soldanos. I’ve owned a couple. I still think your Jcm800 vid was/is the best tone on your channel. Not sure if you knew this, but Mesa stole the almost exact preamp from soldano to make the dual rec……also, the 5150 was based on its preamp as well (for EVH)…. 🤘🏼
Man you have some great taste! Opeth and the dirty nil in the same video?! Amazing. I wanted one of these for years but when I finally played one I wasn’t so impressed. They sound great but it turns out it’s not my tone.
Hey Zach nice demo big sounds!! I would like to hear some Mesa Boogie amps from you like New Rectos (3ch, mutiwatt, Roadking) old Rectos (2ch Rev F ,G) and Mark series ( IIC+, IV, V, JP2C)
Probably the most underrated guitar youtuber IMO
Seriously man your videos are killer
Exactly no bs no unnecessary talking or promotion just pure music and the only thing people care about!!
Thanks very much!

I've watched a few of his videos. Had not realized he had less than 10k subscribers. That's criminal.
Absolutely, I knew this would be good before I clicked on it
That Motley Crue riffing caught my ear immediately
Dude, the riff from "Too young to fall in love" sounded to me much clearer and better than on the record. Perfect tone and playing. Cheers.
It took me a few seconds to recognize it as he really is playing it far better IMO
He didn’t Scoop the Mids
@@combatwombat160 He plays it far better? Lol what drugs are you on?🤣
That's what I was thinking.
I love the fact that you just play the amp with no background track and it always sounds full.
You're doing great man! I wish you a lot more subscribers.
Thanks very much! Appreciate it.
I agree! That and you don't hear the strings rattling in the foreground!
Great opening riff! Mick is such an underrated guitarist. Some of the best riffs ever. That SLO sounds sleazy and nasty in such a good way.
Mick had the riffs. Was always a fan of his. The other 3 although the attention seekers weren't deserving of Mick.
Yeah. For 4grand. It should give you a reach around as well
Mick said they should've followed up Dr. Feel good with an album built around songs like Primal Scream. John Corabi was a blessing but the fans rejected it at the time. The gunslinger guitarists of all the other bands overshadowed Mick, but he was a monster riff maker and played to the songs.
@@TVoltG Well Tommy is a good drummer and Nikki a good songwriter. Gotta give it to them. Vince is a good frontman eventhough he isnt the best singer.
Just found your channel and I cant believe how much better your audio is that all the other guitar focused channels on RUclips. Well done. I’ve been listening in head phones at work now for an hour with constant stank face!
That's awesome! Thanks so much for the kind words Danny.

Mike Soldano started his world-class amp building career by studying books that were being discarded by a public library. He literally built his knowledge, skill and career out of nothing. That's an inspiring story.
I had used SOLDANO amps for almost 15 years in rehearsal studios and live, and they’re one of the best amps I’ve ever used.
These are some of the best tones and riffs I've ever heard. Such a joy to listen to. Thanks man!
Thanks so much James. Appreciate the kind words. A great amp for sure.
Luke from the NIL here, was watching your vid and heard possession and it made my day! great tone, great playing. Cheers!
Hah! That rules. Thanks so much for the kind words man. Such a great record and you guys always crush live. Take care!
I'm a simple man, I see Opeth and Tool riffs being played perfectly, I click like.
That Adam Jones/Tool tone is exactly what I hear from my Soldano built SLO 100. Killer job man.
Awesome playing and riffs.. Great demo.
i never knew the cleans were this dynamic. You're killin' it man!
The crunch mode on the normal ch of an SLO is one of the most overlooked yet best tones ever imo.
Definitely, I think I prefer it to the Overdrive channel! Might just be more what I'm used to. Thanks for watching!
I can really feel how much you enjoy to play Guitar. And we all can enjoy your videos! Thank you Zach 🤘
Thanks man. That's awesome to hear.
Always wondered how Tool sounded through a Soldano. Just love the midrange on these amps. Nice playing and sound quality! Really great 🤟
That would be interesting. That or a SUNN amp. I just don’t think the soldano would work because Adam doesn’t really play super high gain.
Not every amp works well for Tool. My 6505+ didn't sound right for Tool riffs at all. I think this worked well, even though it doesn't nail their sound (which doesn't matter). I play Tool riffs on my Jet City cheapo clone of this all the time, and they sound good on it.

The tone has so much personality and is harmonically rich🤟
Stellar playing and tone sir. Love your channel
I love that squishy, gooey tone you get in the beginning. You can hear the whole thing expand and contract under your fingers. For me, these are absolutely incredible amps. Great cleans, great overdrive, and one of the best crunch channels of any amp in the world.
My goodness! That tele and the amp-cleans sound absolutely glorious. Great video. Thanks so much for putting this out. Subscribed.

Very cool Soundgarden Superunknow, look´s awesome.
You never miss a hit, riffs and tones for days. I always get excited when I see your videos!
Ugghhh, I didn't need to see this ... seems like a perfect amp.
Anybody who plays Opeth riffs in their video gets an immediate like 👍
Time stamp for opeth riff?
I love Soldano amps. SLO100 is terrific
You deserve way more attention. Your channel is probably the best guitar related one out there. Really impressing work!
Nice playing and good presentation of one of Rock's best amps of all times.
Long live Rock & Roll!
Guy is just so good!
Good looking set, beautifully shot, wonderful production, impeccable recording and incredible performance. What a demo!
Thanks so much! Appreciate the kind words.
Sounds absolutely sick dude, and that snakeskin tolex is the icing on the cake! Love it🔥🔥
Thanks so much Rocco! 🐍🐍🐍
That clean sound was more lush than I was expecting.

One of the best players- get every tone out of every amp, knows evry riff...Just killer.
Had this playing in the background while looking up gear in another tab... then I heard some Dialogue With The Stars. That is awesome man, nice playing :)
This is the way.
Your Custom with the no pickup covers is so awesome. Thing is a beast.
This just reminded me how badass that Crüe riff is!
That silver flame LP custom with silver top hats and hardware is giving me ( f e e l i n g s )

Thanks so much Steve! Really dig your stuff as well.
@@ZachWish thank you mate!
Just the right amount of oompf and pick attack
Killer riffs as always 🍻 and yes that amp is nuts
I heard the dual rec’s OG circuit board was basically a copy of the soldano, after hearing the superunknown riff played through that amp it totally makes sense.
I've heard that this amp is said to be the best amp ever made. And from what I can tell, it's definitely a contender
Yeah you kinda already had me with the Soundgarden riff. Solid playing 🤘
Used these in the late 80’s and loved them.
Your videos are great. Keep it up!
That intro 👀🔥 Dare I say sicker than Mars…..
Great tones and fantastic playing and song choice as usual 🤘🏻
The Tone God has blessed us once again!
Zach, quality demo. Those amps are incredible. I would love to hear some 80s riffs on this amp. Not the typical 80s riffs just ones that you like that maybe I haven’t heard or heard in a while.
The Dirty Nil! Every one of their songs has a banger riff
That silverburst is absolutely beautiful
Tool sounds amazing! 🔝💪🏻

EVH amps are the ones to beat now. Freakin' awesome, as well as Soldano! Great playing!

Also Folklore from the Heritage album at about 7:20 💪🏼

Love you vids and riffs man especially when you play In Flames riffs !
Wow this is another level!

Jesus... this amp sounded amazing. I seriously missed this channel 😭😭
Awesome! Just freaking awesome!
EVH playing though his soldano on the FUCK album is probably my favorite guitar tone of all time.
Your channel was just recommended for me, that's a really interesting looking les paul and franken strat. Ever considered putting a description of your equipment in the video description? Great tone and playing man.
Killer playing and Tone !!!
Best damn rock band/recorded tone on RUclips. If I was hiring to do a solo record or modern cover band? F**K the studio big names I would get Zach.
This shit's been a long time coming. Tool through a Soldano...
Love how you did superunknown !!!!!!!
Came for the amp, stayed for the playing
Thanks so much for checking out the video Javi!
Your Les Paul Custom is so awesome
Awesome video dude! Great playing, sounds, equipment… it’s all good 👍 instant sub
Thanks so much. Really appreciate it!
Ok so do I need to get an SLO100? Yes or YES?

Although I gotta say, the SLO30 is pretty killer as well! Stays super tight and doesn't sound like a little amp. Hope you're doing well man!
Damn that riff and tone at 5:25 sounds insane
