Lockwood Pavilion home soars on its hillside site in Wanaka

For these Lockwood clients, designing and building their dream home was about all about sharing the space with family and friends. The existing Lockwood Pavilion plan was the starting point for the design, with it's soaring wing, stunning cantilevered laminated beams and large joinery openings capturing a natural connection with the environment. Chris Fraser and his team at Lockwood Queenstown Lakes customised the design, including the client's original ideas and the directive to capture as much natural light as possible and create outdoor spaces to relish in the view. There is a real feel of space in this 164m² home, cosy in winter and a welcoming breeze through in the summer.
