One of my favorite accomplishments is revolutionizing the way sports channels create thumbnails. I've adopted two different styles, one with logos on the left and a game snapshot on the right, and the other with the logos in the middle and game snapshots representing both teams on either side.
I have a combined 4 years of experience as a Baseball & Basketball Play by Play announcer, which is where I learned my skills for commentary/breakdowns.

Ohio State didn’t look like the #1 team in the country in this game. Credit Rutgers for really giving them a run for their money today, and I expect Ryan Day to tell his guys to focus on the task at hand next week against Michigan State

You spelled "quarterback" wrong my friend. The Buckeyes have plenty of offensive talent, and a good offensive coach. They just don't have a Fields or Stroud under center anymore, and it's rough when the weak link is under center.
100% agree. He underthrows everything and wants to check down on every play. Even in the last game where Harrison went off, every cross route the throw was behind him.

@@marktaylorauthor1000 refreshing to find another Buckeye fan who recognizes this! I keep being called a hater and told that McCord is "coming along" and it's just not true. I don't have anything against the kid, but he's just not good enough to pilot this otherwise high powered offense. He doesn't have a big enough arm to make up for his lack of accuracy, and he doesn't get the ball out quickly enough to compensate for his inability to escape the pass rush. Once I saw how hard Ryan Day had to coach around his QB to beat Maryland I knew the Buckeyes weren't going to be a championship contender this season, and it's a shame because the offense otherwise is a good as it's ever been.
Absolutely. The skill positions and the defense are able to hide him in most games, but he's really not good. Of course, when you're replacing Stroud who just threw for 470 yards in the NFL...@@phantomcyrano

Terrible first half, but that second half was very impressive. A bad game and OSU still scored 35 pts with MHJr being doubled the whole game. That’s dangerous

Gavin Wimsatt cost Rutgers the game, plain and simple. That interception return for a TD changed everything. Rutgers was in a great position to go up 16-7. Maybe Ohio State would have stormed back and won the game anyway, but his awful play took his team out of the game. You put Mike McMahon, Ryan Hart, Mike Teel, etc., in that position, and I guarantee that they would have gotten a field goal out of that bare minimum.
Gen Z is enamored by these scrambling QBs, but they just don't work. Look at how badly the Texas QB compromised his team today. These are basically RBs playing QB. You need a traditional pocket passer like J.J. McCarthy or Carson Beck if you want to win anything. Tom Brady is better than Lamar Jackson could ever dream of being.
There should have been a PF call on that pick for targeting, I can't believe they didn't call that. The only reason I can think of was because the OSU player got hurt. Otherwise that's 10/10 called in college. Refs were also garbage both ways the whole game too.
But besides that I agree, Wimsatt was God awful. Gary Nova would have been able to win this game today haha. The Rutgers tradition of quarterback roulette will continue! At least the rest of the team looks very promising. Monangai is gonna be in the league no doubt, reminds me of a Maurice-Jones Drew/Darren Sproles hybrid

I disagree with the second half while still understanding an actual QB's job is to command an offense and move the ball forward. There shouldn't be any question in their ability to do that. Scrambling gives them an extra tool to do their job. when they can only scramble then they are limiting the offense in so many ways.
What I find really intriguing is that Wimsatt barely scrambled. So not only was he inaccurate but he didn't use the tool is it should be used as a quarterback. He's really ineffective at the position. JJ McCarthy is an example of a QB who effectively scrambles and uses his feet. He is the prototypical QB.
Tom Brady is better than Lamar Jackson but Lamar Jackson is better than soooo many other QBs so I'm not sure I get your point by comparing arguably the greatest QB to a QB of simply lesser stature. Like you didn't choose to make the comparison with Josh Allen who is also a scrambling QB but a top QB in the league, ya know?
Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Patrick Mahomes are all guys that create magic with their legs. Patrick Mahomes is simply a better QB than everyone mentioned in that group and has the trophies to prove it. They are all scrambling QBs. They can all stand in the pocket and deliver dimes too.
Wimsatt is just not a good QB. He does a lot of things wrong at the position.

As an avid OSU fan, we are #4 at best. I wish CJ would’ve stayed for one more year. We’ve been skimming by all season with a few lucky plays, but it’s only a matter of time before we’re exposed. Unless McCord has the game of his life, we’re screwed. I will say though our defense has saved us all season they are doing a phenomenal job allowing less than 15 points per game.

Michigan is going to destroy osu. No way osu was that close in a game with Rutgers. They might have gotten to 35 but not till the end. It could have easily gone the other way. Look at the penalties on osu, very undisciplined

Rutgers quarterback is AWFUL. I was at the game and he went 3/11 in the first half which caused us to only kick field goals. If he was a good QB it would've been 21-7 instead of 9-7

@@IllMatic97 offensive struggles, giving up points to Bad offenses. Giving up 232 rushing yards to a bad offense. Gave up more yards than MSU did and they by far have the worst Defense in the Conference. Struggled until the end to a bad Offense in Penn st and pretty much the same for Notre Dame
