It may have been taped at the TAV Celebrity Theatre, but the tech staff makes it look like it could've been taped at The Burbank Studios.

WPIX-TV (channel 11) ran this back in 1979 along with “Make Me Laugh” with Bobby Van. This was one of the first game shows made by Columbia Pictures TV. The second one was “Ruckus” hosted by the Amazing Jonathan was another short lived game show made by CPTV and Merv Griffin in 1991.

Being that Celebrity Charades was from CPT originally, would the original broadcasts have had the Sunburst/Abstract Torch of that studio at the bottom of them (this GSN rerun did not)?

I know who all the others are, but what was Debra Clinger known for?

She was a very brief movie actress. She appeared in a few films between '76 and '80.

She played Superchick as part of the faux rock band Kaptain Kool and the Kongs on the 1976 Saturday morning TV series "The Krofft Supershow" and co-starred with Priscilla Barnes on the short-lived CBS TV series "The American Girls"

Debra Clinger also was Laura in the 1980 comedy film Midnight Madness, love interest of David Naughton's character Adam. This was also Michael J. Fox's first film.

I'm not sure if this show was cleared in the Cleveland, Toledo or Youngstown, Ohio markets back in the day.

After three regular showings, this program was yanked from the GSN schedule. But they also showed a much later episode with Jamie Farr, Judy Landers, Stephen Shortridge, Ted Lange vs. Bowzer, Vernee Watson, Mark Withers, Judy Norton-Taylor. It had a much better intro and new set changes. Wonder when GSN aired that?

In October-November 1997 on the Game Show Network

The later episode was shown in their Sunday night Game of the Week. It would have been around 2000 or 2001. Set was better, but the show was still terrible.

The theme song was also used when they played Switcheroo on Tom Kennedy’s version of The Price is Right a few years later
