I'm so here for more Bo. It's a rabbit hole you'll never get tired of. the Kanye Rant is a good place to start, as you'll get flooded with the lore, followed by "all eyes on me" as a good follow up. after that, really anything is great. Anything prior to the one you just watched is a little more tongue in cheek, shock value stuff, while anthing after will have more of a pointed vibe. ... for the most part. Live is better than the music videos, i think, save for "Oh Bo". Please, please, please; more Bo.
Actually, I think the rant is a good place to end… Or at least build up to more. It’s very deep, and they need to know more about bo before watching it
@@thekaizobro9971 Agreed. People are so keen to recommend it for the shock value that without the context of Bo's years of introspective material, it won't hit as hard.
I'm still waiting on someone starting with bo yo and/or beginning stuff. Then going through his specials until the end of inside. Time is important. I just need someone to synthesize my thinking in a stream of reactions
Love your Bo Burnham reaction. I also recommend "Welcome to the Internet " and "White Women's Instagram," both of which are from Bo's Netflix special, which he wrote, produced, and filmed by himself at home while on Covid lock down.
I LOVE Bo reactions because it’s so satisfying to see people’s faces when they expect the jokes to continue as the song goes along and then he unexpectedly flips the tone and hits you with a poignant bit of truth.
“If you want love then the love has gotta come from you” I’ve always loved that line, because it communicates a beautiful point to people regardless of their beliefs. If you embody love and act in love on a regular basis, you’re making the world a better place and you make your own life better as well, and become more fulfilled. Bo is such a talent, totally here for more reactions of him
The line about pork refers to numerous religions as Judaism and Islam prohibiting the consumption of pork in all forms. Most religions that have a specific food restriction like that are either because they venerate the animal as holy (cows in Hinduism) or because the animal or food is considered "unclean" in some spiritual sense and would contaminate a pure soul when consumed.
Bo is the exact inverse of Tim Minchin. Tim's a musician who is also a comedian. Bo is a comedian who is also a musician. They both "started" on one end of the spectrum and spent effort getting better at the other half. Furthermore, in terms of songwriting, Tim frequently writes songs that start off serious or somber sounding, then hits you with a switch up to something silly and ridiculous. Inversely, Bo usually writes songs that begin silly or ridiculous, but then hit you with a switchup to something serious, usually an emotional gut-punch of some sort.
Hey just subscribed and I’m not gonna lie I love the reaction I will be listening to your videos while I’m on my long haul routes keep up the great work also that is an amazing sweater Guinness is my favorite👌
All of his videos are great and you will get A LOT of viewers. Some of my other favorites are Can't Handle This, Rant (Not his Kanye Rant, that's also Can't Handle This), White Woman's Instagram, How the World Works, and Welcome to the Internet. He's very good at being entertaining and funny while including a deeper meaning behind his words.
I am loosely christian - I was brought up lutheran, but my spirituality is broader than that. "Why?" you ask (well probably not asking but I'm telling you anyway) because of just about everything he said in this song. When he said the R line- your facial expressions of what did i just step in then his punch line and your relief was evident. I just found this cat myself. I really enjoyed his "welcom to the internet". But interesting to get a perspective of an atheist and agnostic on this. Bottom line, just be good, learn to love, and who cares if people are different. Boom world a better place. Did you say Manta sleep mask? I think it is. I still have a hard time with your accent - that is not a you thing it is a me thing. But what you described is exactly what I need. The past two weeks, I have not been able to fall asleep until after 4am and get up at 7am. My sleep is so messed up. I will be checking that out.
I think the performer You're envisioning with the guitar might be, Rodney Carrington! Although, I didn't know about a sitcom if he has one; but, I could totally see him playing the part You were describing!❤
He is an interesting person and I very much appreciate him! His very first part is funny but dated (he was a kid) and I am the same age as him so I loved it. The middle part "Make happy" and "What" are different. To me Make Happy is great and tells a great story throughout the special with a fine bow/ending tying it together. "What" on the other hand is great in some parts and to me a bit off in others. (There are some insight to his wellbeing that adds to understanding him better, and thereby his content which is important). The latest "Inside" is deeper and darker but also more cleaver, I hope you have the time a courage to try something else than "Welcome to the internet" it is good, but there are some with a lot more depth. Hope you keep going through the Bo Burnham rabbit hole!
You should check out his song words words words or kanye rant I always thought OB would enjoy him but i know how much Daz was against musical comedy so I never suggested him
Ash is thinking of Andy Griffith. Cop that played a guitar and sang. Andy’s first comedic bit years before the show, was about American Football. It was called “What it was, was Football”. 1953 ruclips.net/video/oNxLxTZHKM8/видео.htmlsi=uZcVkMOpwXaNDb30
I just found you lot from a Shane Gillis reaction. My absolute favorite Bo song ever there. Proper down for following y'all down a Bo Burnham hole. Words Words Words and I'm Bo Yo absolute top songs too.
Came here to say the same thing... Stephen is amazing... especially his singing ability which is phenomenal. Big change between his early stuff & more recent output but all well worth watching.
The Pork thing comes from societies not cooking or otherwise preparing pork sufficiently to kill parasites back then. People were dying from eating this animal so they banned it. In other societies where they boiled/cooked the hell out of pork, they had no such inclination.
Bo Burnham is a bloody brilliant comedian and a great musician and singer as well. He has a wealth of awesome and hilarious material, even before the Masterpiece that is "Inside". 7:34 I'm with Dave here (and a bit with Ash). I don't buy the "Higher Power" bit and I'm positive that every religion has its head up its arse. That being said, I don't fully discount the idea of a "Higher Intelligence" out there somewhere that came along and messed with our DNA back in the day. Same way I can't be 100% sure that I'm actually sitting here typing this.😉 Santa Meep.
Bo is amazing, and I hope you all check out way more of his stuff. Especially Freon his first two specials, which are phenomenal. I’m not as much a fan of his more recent stuff like “Welcome to the Internet”, but it’s among his most popular work, so you’ll get a lot of requests for it most likely. But his real genius lies in the stuff he did for Make Happy.
I wouldn't want to get into the pearly gates because I've seen those that are supposedly allowed in and those aren't the people I would want to spend eternity with 😂
Love seeing new people experience Bos genius my favorite songs of his are; Rant Kanye rant Eff Words words words Nerds Hell of a ride Sad #deep New math Ironic Oh bo Im bo yo Bo fo sho Lower your expectations Art is dead Straight white male Repeat stuff Love is
Jewish people not eating pork was simply a cleanliness issue - preventing foodbourne illnesses. Being kosher was just protection and prevention in Biblical times. That's how and why it became a law. I don't keep kosher but i totally understand the logic.
"one of the guys didn't like musical comedy." I mean, we all know it's Daz lmao Did you guys end on bad terms or something? Btw, if you want a "singing comedian" check out Dimitri Martin. He only adds music to his comedy because it made it impossible for Comedy Central back in the day to chop up and edit his special in a way that made any sense for TV. It's background noise.
i was agnostic too while i was younger. and i went pagan. you don't need to follow the abrahamic religions' mamba jamba. just pick a god oır a goddess of your choice, pray to them. if they don't work, try another one. there are a lot of them. it's better than "if i don't believe in this i'll burn forever" or "i don't know what's out there so i'll stay oblivious" try out stuff, you might find your own thing that works for you! cheers.
You both might want to research your stance on world overpopulation. A vast majority of industrialized countries are below replacement birth rate and some are shockingly below. For example, many forecast models predict by 2050 China’s population will have decreased to around 600 million or over half of its recognized peak. The UK’s birth rate is 1.44 and dropping with 2.0 being replacement rate. South Korea is at 0.78 … Depending on which “expert” you believe the world has already or will soon be hitting its max population and the decline in population will be swift. We’re not talking in terms of centuries, it’s generations unless something drastic happens to change the trends. Unless automation takes rapid leaps and bounds there may be a drastic shortage of workforce within a hundred years to sustain quality of life as we know it today especially in the most industrialized countries which will likely lead to the exploitation of less industrialized countries with higher birth rates. It’s really simple math, people are dying off faster than they are being replaced and in a lot of countries each successive generation is smaller than the last.
It was Daz that didn't like musical comedy, wasn't it? It's good to be a decent person, but works will not get you to heaven. Only a sincere personal relationship with Jesus Christ can fill you with the Holy Spirit and reunite you with God in the end.

The catholic rant and eff speak to me on crazy levels
@@thekaizobro9971 Agreed. People are so keen to recommend it for the shock value that without the context of Bo's years of introspective material, it won't hit as hard.
I think "Repeat Stuff" is also better in video form instead of live. The video for "Oh Bo" is one of my guilty pleasures. Hilarious 😂😂
I'm still waiting on someone starting with bo yo and/or beginning stuff. Then going through his specials until the end of inside. Time is important. I just need someone to synthesize my thinking in a stream of reactions

More bo! Anything from his stand-up special "what."
more bo hes a genius in my opinion
Yes more Bo please!! I absolutely adore him and your commentary fits his stuff so well.
Happy new year!
So. Here. For. The. Bo. Journey!!!!!!!
Bo says that Tim Minchin is one of his biggest influences growing up.
Bo is the exact inverse of Tim Minchin. Tim's a musician who is also a comedian. Bo is a comedian who is also a musician. They both "started" on one end of the spectrum and spent effort getting better at the other half. I’ve been saying this for ages but couldn’t find the exact way to explained it! This is perfect
Hey just subscribed and I’m not gonna lie I love the reaction I will be listening to your videos while I’m on my long haul routes keep up the great work also that is an amazing sweater Guinness is my favorite👌
I just found your channel! Love your reaction and vibe. Keep up the good work.
Ash might be thinking of Rodney Carrington. Who doesn't love "Show them to me"?
yay! 😻 TY for the reaction ! love Bo Burnham...hope to see more, but in any case, happy new year ! ..Peace & Love 🤘💜
Yaay more Bo please! Happy Holidays and hope y'all have a great New Year 🤘🤘

Rodney did have his own show called Rodney. Canceled after 2 seasons, but he's one of my favorite comedians.
ahhh i remember back on office blokes, they didnt really find bo burnham up their alley
They were rightout disgusted :X

Just adding another "do more Bo Butnham" comment. So much good stuff

Lower your expectations is a gem by Bo Burnham

Love the carrots!
One of the few times i might buy something from a youtube channel.
Another comedian who plays guitar during his act that i personally enjoy that you guys might as well is Dimitri Martin.
"Lower your expectations" is a classic.
But "Kanye Rant" and "Welcome to the Internet" are the two where people usually start and get hooked
If you're a fan of singing comedians, highly recommend checkin out Stephen Lynch
Came here to say the same thing... Stephen is amazing... especially his singing ability which is phenomenal. Big change between his early stuff & more recent output but all well worth watching.

More. All of it.
Nice I love me some Bo Burnham! More please! ❤
Bo burnham is extremely talented and funny! Definitely check out more of his stuff! Another great singing comedian to check out is Stephen Lynch
Bo Burnham is a bloody brilliant comedian and a great musician and singer as well. He has a wealth of awesome and hilarious material, even before the Masterpiece that is "Inside".

I like a lot of bo's stuff, great reaction guys!
Respectfully, as soon as I saw the carrots, 1) I really want one, they're awesome, and 2) they look a bit like Dave with a longer beard 🤣❤
Reacting to bo burnham is like reaching to game of thrones. Yall gonna be on this for the next year

Rodney Carrington youre thinking of... his show was called Rodney... i think so anyway
If you're after older but really good Bo Burnham, try Art is Dead.

Oh, please do more Bill Bailey.
Bo is a generational artist. Truly a brilliant dude.

Tim Minchin and Stephen Lynch are very good with musical comedy too. Maybe give them a try

You gotta listen to "Christian Rap" that's what got me hooked onto Bo
You can't go wrong with any Bo video/clip.
Does "half 11" mean 11:30 or 10:30?
Please react to Tim Minchin's The Pope Song!
Perfection. 👌
Tim’s The Pope Song and Bo Burnham’s Rant (not the Kanye rant) are both very good with similar topics/inspirations.
Bo has been massive since 2007 or so. He isnt new lol

Your personal theory isn't the same thing as fact.
@elbruces I'm Jewish. It's not a theory. Lol
First saw this video when i was realizing religion is bs, the pure vindication i felt was indescribable
Bo is a genius full stop.
Also see Jim Jefferies "Heaven and Hell". He has some original ideas.

It was Daz, wasn't it? LOL
Could you really envision Mike crushing other ideas like that as a group? Not really a secret-you are correct. 😂
check out the stuff he wrote when he was 16 that made him famous. "im boy yo" "my whole family" "bo fo sho" "new math" etc.
