I love living in sarawak too! Food and the local people's are amazingly friendly!
Sarawak is considered one of the cleanest cities in Malaysia and was once voted as one of the world's healthiest cities to live in.
That makes sense! I'm feeling happy and healthy! 😁😁
As a Sarawakian, I'm disagree. That will be capital city that has clean environment. Try to visit Bau (still clean and has good food) and go deeper village, there you will se scraps of plastics and mask. Every time I jog around my neighborhood, I have to take rubbish near the road then throw into rubbish bin. Most of our neighborhood still hasn't get the education on how important to secure cleanness and hygiene. I hope this new government will take notice.
@@ryanoneiljohnson8743 I agree that there is too much plastic lying around everywhere. Everyone needs to learn to put their rubbish in designated areas, like dustbins or bring it home and dispose of it there. There is still much to improve here in Sarawak on this matter.
@@ryanoneiljohnson8743 Well you do found rubbish in every parking lot especially discarded face masks. I live in Bau for all my life & most people here had high degree education. Arrogant and laziness on caring for cleanliness are slowly consumed Sarawakian.
Torben Chong, Sarawak is a state, not city
The Sarawak tourism board must love you! Your enthusiasm is contagious. Makes me want to hop on a plane right now to see all that beautiful nature and wildlife (food and people, too!)
Such a kind comment! I'm happy to read this! I love sharing my thoughts on this beautiful place called Sarawak!

I haven't been back to Kuching for almost 2 years thanks to Covid. This is the longest time I have been unable to come back and spend time with my Mum. I wish everyone will be safe back there and may all of us get through this tough time together with strength
I know how you feel! I have not been back to The Netherlands for over 3 years. I was supposed to visit my family in April last year, but all travel plans are on hold for now.. Hopefully things change soon!
Indeed.🙏🤜✌️🇲🇾 Happy Malaysia Day to U.. StaySafe..Have a Great Day Ahead..🇲🇾✌️🙏😷
Looks like Sarawak will be showing up on a lot of people's radar now that Malaysia has changed their MM2H visa to nearly impossible to meet requirements for most foreigners while Sarawak has kept their MM2H visa requirements the same and quite doable. My wife and I had been considering the Malaysia MM2H visa for 3 or 4 years now but that all came to an end several weeks ago. Now we are looking at Sarawak quite seriously. We have enjoyed watching your videos and learning about life in Sarawak.
Hey William, thanks for your comment. I'm very happy that the Sarawak Government maintains their MM2H-S Programme. I have a Spouse Visa myself, but I believe Sarawak is a beautiful place to live for anyone who is keen on the MM2H programme.
Morning, wow that wonderful & believe me u will not regrets living here..We respect, humble, friendly,Good Foods,Rain forest Forest to explore & many more..See ya.. StaySafe n Have a Great Day Ahead.😷🙏✌️🇲🇾🤜
With sarawak visa, you only need to spend 14 days a year in sarawak province, I see.
Thank you Nick for loving my hometown Sarawak 😊
It's the best place to be!
Thank you for loving Sarawak. As a Sarawakian, I who am honored to hear about your experiences of living in Sarawak.
As Myself, I a honoured to read this comment! Thanks a lot! 😁😁😁
Sarawak is the place where modern life meet old life, city meet jungle, old belief meet new belief, old culture meet new culture.
Well described! This is very true, and one of the main reasons I love living here!
I would say that the tolerance & understanding of the people in Sabah & Sarawak is outstanding which is a reflection of the old Malaysia.
The mindset is great here, little tension and focussed on being together. One of the main reasons I love living here!
@@GlobalGibbon That was how the Malaysia was despite the racial & religious diversity, people were together.
@@RB-rp6ud let's hope we can all get together and move forward as a nation!
@@GlobalGibbon Hopefully coz now it’s more about race, religion & even the states, driven by politicians.
yeah, sarawak is actually the most diverse state in Malaysia with the most lowest racism case. some places in Malaysia should learn from sarawak tbh
I live in Sarawak (Kuching, Sibu, Sarikei) for 5 years while I was studying at Unimas. Too bad I was poor as a student & couldn't travel much. I'm looking forward to visiting Sarawak again in the future as a tourist. plus my best friend is from Sarawak too, more reason to go there.
Hey! Thanks for watching my video! I hope you get to hop on a plane and visit Sarawak soon to see your old friends!
Tq🙏💝
I prefer to live in sarawak.
You are talking about Sarawak with so much love and passion, that it sometimes hurts. But I know. I know its for real and in your heart. And I do understand everything, because I have Sarawak in my heart for so many reasons as well. Its a tragedy we cant go and visit....but I know you are so happy xx
My heart is big, love for Sarawak and love for my family! Can't wait to have you here Mom!

I have lived in Sarawak for 2 years because I studied at a institute there and I have traveled in several districts in Sarawak, now with the Pan Borneo Highway it will be easier to explore Borneo-Sabah & Sarawak, Eastern Malaysia.

Hello Nick, so glad to see you back. Look forward for more video from you. Stay safe
Thanks for watching buddy!
Kuching City is the 4th largest city in the whole country and probably the 2nd or the 3rd most modern city in the country which not many Malaysian knew about or probably refuse to accept the fact.
That's right! It's awesome to live here. We got all we need right here!
@@GlobalGibbon glad to see that you promote Kuching City and Sarawak as a whole to the rest of Malaysia and the world. Cheers mate.

.. hello..
Great information Nick! Keep it up.
Thanks buddy!!
Hi Nick, thank you for promoting my home state Sarawak. Glad that you're loving your life there. I love your distinctive way of pronouncing "Sarhawak"😊 and kudos for your initiative to learn Iban dialect(my mother tongue).
I've been residing in KL for a few decades now and has the opportunity to live and travel to some countries in Europe, Australia, NZ, Japan, HK and UAE among others but Sarawak remains very close to my heart, especially my humble little hometown Limbang on the other end of the state.
To your viewers that has absolutely no (or very little) knowledge on Sarawak, Sarawak is almost as multi-racial as the UN. Modern yet authentic. The people are educated yet remain extremely humble. The culture is diverse yet respectful of each other, whereby religion is a connecting bridge instead of a dividing wall. Organic food sources is most abundant. Stalls and restaurants serve the most exclusive gastronomic delights. Simple yet exquisite local cuisines is sure to satisfy one's taste buds. A food connoisseur(and chef) the late Anthony Bourdain once regarded Sarawak Laksa as "Breakfast of the Gods". The rainforest is as close as one can get to the Amazon(shame on the logging industry tho').
Looking forward to more posting on life in Sarawak. You're a great ambassador. Keep up the amazing work! 👍👍
Hey! Thanks for watching the video and your kind comment! I'm happy my video found you. Cool to find out you're from Limbang - I only drove through there a few times on the way to Sabah. I would like to visit it again and find some cool hidden jungle around there.
@@GlobalGibbon It was a pleasure watching your videos. Just for curiousity sake, which part of the Netherlands are you from? I had the pleasure to stay in Amsterdam and discover some parts of the Netherlands for a period of 6 mths. I was most intriqued to know that there's a province called Limburg which sounds pretty similar to Limbang. Oftentimes i jokingly told my Dutch friends that i was from Limburg. The Bruis Festival in the city of Maastricht was a sight to behold. Beers flow of epic proportions, very much like our Gawai🤣. If i'm not mistaken, it is held during the first weekend of September(very soon). The King's Day(previously known as Queen's Day)is renowned for being one of the biggest and most colourful festivities. I hope to be able to visit the Netherlands again someday.
Cheers!🍻
@@hazdyparadis2753 Hey Hazdy, my hometown in The Netherlands is called Lochem, it's in the province of Gelderland. It's about a 1.5hr drive east from Amsterdam. I miss the Netherlands very much, the last time I visited was more than 3 years ago. I can't wait to go back and see my family. I also used to live in Breda, when I was studying - in the southern province of Noord Brabant. The festivals in The Netherlands are so much fun!

Happy to learn that Sarawak is a good place to live. I am preparing a book about James Brooke and his story with Sarawak.
A great subject !!
Love the description of the natural features
The nature here is crazy beautiful!
I love your Video, im English , first time i came here was in 1980. Fell in love with place. Been living here 14 years full time. I live in Siniawan Bau. i agree with eveything you say.
In 1980, stayed here one month, in that time i only saw one white man, and that was myself, my reflection in a shop window. Kuching was very small then, about the same size as Sibu. the only way to the airport was Jalan Penrisen. Tabun was all pineapple fields, from 4 mile to airport was also pine apple fields.
We both found paradise.
regards Martin
Hey Martin! Thanks for your comment. I can imagine things were very different 40 years ago. I love watching old footage of Kuching from decades ago. Even in the past 10 years that I have been here things have changed a lot! I hope to run into you some day, feel free to say hi if you see me. I regularly go to The Bikalan in Siniawan.

Sarawak is a Paradise on Earth! Thanks for sharing
Hi! New subscriber here 🤗 Love seeing your vlog in the Kuching city so much that I go to your old videos 😂 New vlog idea, why don't you go and vlog to all shopping malls and pasar malam (uptown) in Kuching? Make it two parts video. It will be a good videos! And it will cured a little bit my "rindu" in Kuching as I'm still recovering from my accident injuries (broken right leg bone to be exact) and always at home for 10 months now. I'm a "jalan-jalan lepak-lepak" type of guy who goes to the same places/shopping malls once or twice every weeks even though not buying anything 😂 (before accident tho) because I love Kuching city so much. Anyways, excited for you next upload bro 💪 Keep it up 💪
Hey Ahmad, Thanks for watching my videos. I hope my videos help you recover a little! I have various videos planned, like visiting Pasar Malams, unfortunately the Covid restrictions make it tough to film nice videos! But I promise I will make more videos about Sarawak and Kuching - Don't you worry!
Thanks so much for promoting Sarawak to the world.
