Fliegerfausts only really work with a double tap and with the relatively short range, you really need coordinated strikes and both need to hit hard. That means (assuming a 4 man squad) 2 assaults that have to dedicate a gadget to AA, meaning fighting tanks is a bit more difficult. Other ground AA is just straight up useless, although the 40mms in the Pacific maps are a bit more viable due to better range and damage, but still not great. A skilled pilot will still kill you before you do enough damage to discourage him from strafing you. Regular 20mms from the base maps are like firing spit balls at a fucking tank. They are essentially pointless. And even if you do enough damage to kill them, 99/100 they escape by using their magic repair button that insta-repairs their plane enough to stay airborne and then come back and bomb the AA gun you were using. Ground vs Air combat is broken and far too in favor of the planes. Sad thing is, its not that planes are too powerful. Its more that their counters just arent strong enough.
Ok so fliegerfaust is now nerfed. And I can pretty confidently say that it is useless now. Only shoots 2 salvos that if you line up perfectly deals maybe half hp dmg. The plane just gonna get away and repair than when it comes back it kills you.
You are really too good. Having a player like you on a server is really toxic. For the teams that are incredibly unbalanced, and for you who have absolutely no challenge.
Honestly I think the fliegerfaust combined with the 20mm on the planes was a big mistake. It created this meta of flying as high as you can and shooting dots on the screen to remain out of the fliegers range. That's all most pilots do now and I think it's damn boring to do, as well as really annoying to deal with when you're on the ground. If you do it right you'll never be taken down unless the other team has goods pilots as well. I think DICE should have taken a different approach to counter planes, with MMGs being more effective and snipers being able to kill pilots, like it has always been up before BFV. Then getting close wouldn't be a certain death sentence for pilots and they would feel more confortable to try for straffing runs with regular machine guns instead of this ridiculous splash damage 20mm and every aspect of flying and trying to fight planes would be more skill based instead of the cheesy 20mm and the cheesy fliegerfaust. Like, honestly Silk, do you think it was challenging at all to get this 183 kills game? You admitted yourself that you'd edit most of that out if it wasn't for the many kills you got, so you know this kind of gameplay is a bit stale.
@@SilkOCE they can? I tried camping once in the Hamada air strip and was pretty convinced it was impossible. Also the lack of clips on the subject made me think it really couldn't be done. Although I have been able to shoot out pilots with the Stuka gunner seat, so I guess it's just a wrong impression that I got. And yeah, normal strafing was really satisfying because it was so hard, and it still was risky if there were tanks and assault players around.
@@AzafTazarden They definitely can, I've seen a few clips but they're rare. Old strafing was just more fun all round, but machine guns are so much more satisfying than easy explosive rounds.
I normally despise planes in this game as they are OP, but nice flying! I wish my teams had amazing pilots like you lol. All my teammates normally eat paint chips and lick windows all match
I think the bottom line of the nerf / dont nerf thing is that NO ONE should be able to do this, no mater how good they are... I mean hes kind of ruining 32 people's game here, because nothing can effectively stop him... Only 1-2 Assault players can kill him with Fliegerfaust, IF he messes up badly, other hes untouchable... My idea would be to introduce a fuel system so you couldn't fly forever and have a limit to how many times you can use planes in a single game.
Does sound like a decent idea Silkzy, that or having go repair out of the plane. It is pretty unfair wrecking infantry for the duration of a match with no interruptions given the lack of dogfighting currently
@@samuels8531 I don't like the idea of having to leave the plane for repairs. Firstly, landing the plane is too clunky with Battlefield's physics. Secondly, I think that people would just wait till you land then strafe you. If they made landing more of a skill and introduced a far away airfield or something with landing gear, flaps and all that cool stuff, I think it'd be seriously fun and immersive. Battlefield isn't that kinda game though right now, but I think it could be done right!

Fly around the moon and drop a few shots to the ground, get a few kills, fly back behind the moon and repair the missfired SMG hit. Then repeat. And why the hell does planes and tanks got 3 person view? Other than that, Silk is doing very well and use the plane as intended, it is Dice job to fix the balance. Sadly it often got planes a bit OP (Specially the moon trips to repair) Anyway, isn't it terribly boring to only hit from high up like this? It sure looks boring to watch, nearly fell asleep 😴

I love using the extra lmg, increased speed, (what ever the third is in the middle, 500 pound bombs, at mines and enhanced control surfaces. I love dog fighting and ground attack but i dont find farming ground troops satisfying.
Silk thats understandable. I also like to help my squad when they cap objectives. bombing tanks, stationary weapons, snipers ect. I feel more like im helping the team that way to, especially when I shoot down planes that are tearing up our boys on the ground. As a side note i find it fun to watch you fly and rack up insane amounts of kills. I love the tactic of trolling them into advancing lol.
The increased speed can be really good for dogfighting BUT I find I overshoot anyone I’m chasing who cuts the throttle. I prefer the plane with the 6 HMGs and manual supercharger.
Air domination looks so easy in modern BF games like this & 2042. There is very little to counter a skilled pilot. Back in BF3 I was racking up 100 & 200 kill streaks nightly but had to work harder and play more defensively if the opps applied too much pressure. Landing to rep was an acquired skill especially in a jet. But now you can just fly away and rep midair. Man with the time saved doing that and no vehicle disabled mechanic I can only imagine what further damage I could’ve done with the Frogfoot or Attack Heli 🤔
For all the haters out there I have a 7.74 in bf5 so I’m not a salty jerk who hates all good players because I am a good player. I could be very wrong but he honestly seems like he is hacking or he uses someone else’s footage and he does commentary over the footage( unlikely really) Also he is playing against his “small” bf5 Australian community that let’s say is 40 percent average, 20 percent can go 32 0 with a good gun, and 40 percent utter garbage who can’t get a kill with the type 2a. He is also kinda sketchy when he says “my aim... changes topic” or “I don’t know how... I turn so hard maybe it just LOoKs tighter” I don’t know I’m just saying. I will get so much hate for this, just the common people’s of the inter webs.
Not exactly in a position to give you tips, but at 23:40 ish when you say your best play is to level out and let your friendly take care of him... Leveling out in that situation is actually presenting your wing man with a smaller target. If it's an American plane behind you like that with the wing mounted LMG set up, your wing man might be able to take him out quicker if you make a slow turn. Not always the best idea because there's obviously a tradeoff; You and the enemy pilot are most likely gonna be presenting the same sized target, so if it's a Zero with 4 LMGs on you you might just get melted in seconds. But again the Corsairs with the 2 LMG set up are pretty useless in dog fights so I think you could afford to take a little more damage to get him out of there quicker.
I may be wrong on this, but isn't that an A6M3? Disregarding the crazy amount of 20mm mounted on it, weren't clipped wings introduced on the A6M3 variant of this plane's serie to increase its roll rate?
I like watching your vids, mostly to see the chats reactions. I don't understand why you have flares and in 183 kills have not used them once! Flares help your team, yet you choose to not even use them. Why even add them to the plane config?
Sometimes, very rarely I won't have anything to shoot at. Then I use my flares. If the team is struggling I also use them, but I try not to make matches too stompy by avoiding them for the most part
Meh. If the pilots on the other team were actually any good they'd have been able to stop this from happening. The AA Corsair rips Zero's to shreds, and coupled with the Flieger and the flak all over this map it takes a ridiculous amount of skill to pull this off as often as Silk does. In the right hands anything is overpowered, and as good as the Zero is it already has enough counters in the game for it to warrant being as good as it is. I mean before the Zero was introduced, flying in this game was a waste of time as well as being utterly boring. If they start nerfing planes as soon as it actually became fun to fly then you might as well just remove aircraft from the game altogether, as Dice clearly don't care about pilots if that happens.
@@GGMatt it's pretty hard to take down good pilots unless you've put like 500+ hours into flying and even then who knows. I would like to see the ATG nerfed significantly on planes so that they just use bombs or w/e, but the flieger needs a big fat nerf so that planes can actually dogfight eachother without getting gibbed The game is in a weird state right now, where planes can dumpster infantry, but if you try to go plane vs plane (which is healthy for the game) you're punished by just getting fleigercheesed
This. I wouldn't say I'm insanely skilled or whatever but ANYTHING in the game can be OP with practice. The plane does have it's counters, but i do think I make it look slightly easier than it is.

Xboxer here. I've had 3 different gamers get so salty they took the time to personally message me during a match things like "you realize your team's losing, right?" Or "that's a crap place for a pak-40"... When I've killed the same person 5 or more times with a pak-40 on the german side to the right of objective F in Narvik. My K/D ratio is typically above 10 in that map.
Damn. These new planes are almost as OP as the trench fighter at BF1 launch. Only issue with these planes, and BF5 in general, is the lack of a skill gap in dogfighting. If the enemy pilots have a working set of thumbs and 2v1 or 3v1 you, it's almost impossible to do anything. BF1...and definitely BF4, you can win 2v1 or 3v1 if you're more skilled than your opponents.
I never got into BFV. My heart belongs to BF1. I never really learned to fly the planes well. I drop between 75-110 kills per match as infantry. I can confirm that in public servers, there are idiots who stand in large circle jerks all the time just asking to be victimized. Sometimes you can blame the victim🤷♂️ That guy who’s moody in the comments about Australians is just bad at the game Blowing up tanks has always been my favorite activity in BF1. My friend that plays as well can attest to my ability to blow up a tank in 3.5-5 seconds depending on distance, diving out of planes to kill out of sector tanks playing like punks, and that it’s funny watching me chase an armored vehicle on foot with a grenade in my hand. Tank destruction is an art form, and I’m proud to say that I’m Picasso😂

I play against HEAPS of dogfighter loadouts. The fact of the matter is that you can still fight with them pretty well as long as you don't go vertical too much. I still think flying on PS4 does sound harder, even though @imashbuttons117 farms just as well as I do on there.
Silk I’ve seen a few pilots (I’m bad with remembering names) that have gone on insane killing streaks in the plane like 40 plus kills but never over 100 on the PS4. I’m really hoping they roll out an Air Assault mode like in BF1. Nothing but dogfighting thousands of feet overhead would be epic. Battling over the Dover cliffs would be epic!!!
Dogfighting is dead in this game, I do not understand why DICE developers do not keep the same codes for the planes from BF1 or even introduce an Air superiority for the pilots since the release of the game. Do you think DICE will fix the planes physics or have a better physics for the next game?
There is a reason why they don't copy the physics from other games according to a developer I talked to. Other than that I don't think it'll ever return to the glory of BF3/4 df but it has to be better than BF5 right?

I got ALL my settings in that plane guide I uploaded recently, literally everything you need. My GPU is a GTX 1070, I use 100% digital vibrance ingame and I actually do some colour correction in Premiere/Vegas so my game doesn't look quite this good.

I don't really get what you say a few times in this video, that dogfighting is dead. I love dogfigfting in BFV, I'm always looking around to see whether my teammate is being chased and when they clear your six it's the best feeling.

Snipers can kill pilots, and I wish that you could strafe normally again but it's just too risky.

Yeah I think it does need a nerf, and the fuel system sounds bad imo. I think they just need to make the explosive cannons less easy.

Dive, roll out left, zoom climb, pull over , dive, roll out right. Hint to opposing pilots, be at the top of that zoom climb when he is out of energy.

I love using the extra lmg, increased speed, (what ever the third is in the middle, 500 pound bombs, at mines and enhanced control surfaces. I love dog fighting and ground attack but i dont find farming ground troops satisfying.
That's fair enough. I just find that if I don't do this my team has a chance of losing.
Silk thats understandable. I also like to help my squad when they cap objectives. bombing tanks, stationary weapons, snipers ect. I feel more like im helping the team that way to, especially when I shoot down planes that are tearing up our boys on the ground.
As a side note i find it fun to watch you fly and rack up insane amounts of kills. I love the tactic of trolling them into advancing lol.
The increased speed can be really good for dogfighting BUT I find I overshoot anyone I’m chasing who cuts the throttle. I prefer the plane with the 6 HMGs and manual supercharger.

Air domination looks so easy in modern BF games like this & 2042. There is very little to counter a skilled pilot. Back in BF3 I was racking up 100 & 200 kill streaks nightly but had to work harder and play more defensively if the opps applied too much pressure. Landing to rep was an acquired skill especially in a jet. But now you can just fly away and rep midair. Man with the time saved doing that and no vehicle disabled mechanic I can only imagine what further damage I could’ve done with the Frogfoot or Attack Heli 🤔
For all the haters out there I have a 7.74 in bf5 so I’m not a salty jerk who hates all good players because I am a good player. I could be very wrong but he honestly seems like he is hacking or he uses someone else’s footage and he does commentary over the footage( unlikely really) Also he is playing against his “small” bf5 Australian community that let’s say is 40 percent average, 20 percent can go 32 0 with a good gun, and 40 percent utter garbage who can’t get a kill with the type 2a. He is also kinda sketchy when he says “my aim... changes topic” or “I don’t know how... I turn so hard maybe it just LOoKs tighter” I don’t know I’m just saying. I will get so much hate for this, just the common people’s of the inter webs.

Not exactly in a position to give you tips, but at 23:40 ish when you say your best play is to level out and let your friendly take care of him... Leveling out in that situation is actually presenting your wing man with a smaller target. If it's an American plane behind you like that with the wing mounted LMG set up, your wing man might be able to take him out quicker if you make a slow turn. Not always the best idea because there's obviously a tradeoff; You and the enemy pilot are most likely gonna be presenting the same sized target, so if it's a Zero with 4 LMGs on you you might just get melted in seconds. But again the Corsairs with the 2 LMG set up are pretty useless in dog fights so I think you could afford to take a little more damage to get him out of there quicker.
I may be wrong on this, but isn't that an A6M3? Disregarding the crazy amount of 20mm mounted on it, weren't clipped wings introduced on the A6M3 variant of this plane's serie to increase its roll rate?

I like watching your vids, mostly to see the chats reactions. I don't understand why you have flares and in 183 kills have not used them once! Flares help your team, yet you choose to not even use them. Why even add them to the plane config?
Sometimes, very rarely I won't have anything to shoot at. Then I use my flares. If the team is struggling I also use them, but I try not to make matches too stompy by avoiding them for the most part

Meh. If the pilots on the other team were actually any good they'd have been able to stop this from happening. The AA Corsair rips Zero's to shreds, and coupled with the Flieger and the flak all over this map it takes a ridiculous amount of skill to pull this off as often as Silk does. In the right hands anything is overpowered, and as good as the Zero is it already has enough counters in the game for it to warrant being as good as it is. I mean before the Zero was introduced, flying in this game was a waste of time as well as being utterly boring. If they start nerfing planes as soon as it actually became fun to fly then you might as well just remove aircraft from the game altogether, as Dice clearly don't care about pilots if that happens.
@@GGMatt it's pretty hard to take down good pilots unless you've put like 500+ hours into flying and even then who knows.
I would like to see the ATG nerfed significantly on planes so that they just use bombs or w/e, but the flieger needs a big fat nerf so that planes can actually dogfight eachother without getting gibbed
The game is in a weird state right now, where planes can dumpster infantry, but if you try to go plane vs plane (which is healthy for the game) you're punished by just getting fleigercheesed
This. I wouldn't say I'm insanely skilled or whatever but ANYTHING in the game can be OP with practice. The plane does have it's counters, but i do think I make it look slightly easier than it is.
No nerf can happen unless the flieger is like totally fucked. Even if it still does like 30 damage it's OP since you have no way of dodging it.

I actually ran them for a few hours over the past couple days. I don't think they're even close to as good as inceds since you have to get closer for them to be consistent

Xboxer here. I've had 3 different gamers get so salty they took the time to personally message me during a match things like "you realize your team's losing, right?" Or "that's a crap place for a pak-40"... When I've killed the same person 5 or more times with a pak-40 on the german side to the right of objective F in Narvik. My K/D ratio is typically above 10 in that map.

Damn. These new planes are almost as OP as the trench fighter at BF1 launch. Only issue with these planes, and BF5 in general, is the lack of a skill gap in dogfighting. If the enemy pilots have a working set of thumbs and 2v1 or 3v1 you, it's almost impossible to do anything. BF1...and definitely BF4, you can win 2v1 or 3v1 if you're more skilled than your opponents.

I never got into BFV. My heart belongs to BF1. I never really learned to fly the planes well. I drop between 75-110 kills per match as infantry. I can confirm that in public servers, there are idiots who stand in large circle jerks all the time just asking to be victimized. Sometimes you can blame the victim🤷♂️ That guy who’s moody in the comments about Australians is just bad at the game
Blowing up tanks has always been my favorite activity in BF1. My friend that plays as well can attest to my ability to blow up a tank in 3.5-5 seconds depending on distance, diving out of planes to kill out of sector tanks playing like punks, and that it’s funny watching me chase an armored vehicle on foot with a grenade in my hand. Tank destruction is an art form, and I’m proud to say that I’m Picasso😂

@@larch6509 that's a big negative. A good pilot takes out the AA first then what do ground troops do vs pilots? On what planet should something exist in a game that can't be countered? What you said makes zero sense especially if you watched silk get 200 plus kills with single digit deaths in a game where dogfighting is worthless. Imagine if the only thing that existed for taking out aircrafts were AA. Aircrafts would be insanely overpowered and make the game even less fun than ttk patch made it unless you were a pilot.

I play against HEAPS of dogfighter loadouts. The fact of the matter is that you can still fight with them pretty well as long as you don't go vertical too much. I still think flying on PS4 does sound harder, even though @imashbuttons117 farms just as well as I do on there.
Silk I’ve seen a few pilots (I’m bad with remembering names) that have gone on insane killing streaks in the plane like 40 plus kills but never over 100 on the PS4.
I’m really hoping they roll out an Air Assault mode like in BF1. Nothing but dogfighting thousands of feet overhead would be epic. Battling over the Dover cliffs would be epic!!!

Mouse allows planes to turn tighter. Small difference when flying normally. Massive difference when repairing. Test it out.

Dogfighting is dead in this game, I do not understand why DICE developers do not keep the same codes for the planes from BF1 or even introduce an Air superiority for the pilots since the release of the game. Do you think DICE will fix the planes physics or have a better physics for the next game?
There is a reason why they don't copy the physics from other games according to a developer I talked to.
Other than that I don't think it'll ever return to the glory of BF3/4 df but it has to be better than BF5 right?
@@SilkOCE I really hope so, those glory days are over. I have been talking with Kertz about the planes physics, I even offer going to Stockholm and test the physics from the next BF game. The pilot community doesn't know why DICE did that to the planes. According to Kertz, he have been getting great feedbacks from players about the plane. Probably farmers

I got ALL my settings in that plane guide I uploaded recently, literally everything you need.
My GPU is a GTX 1070, I use 100% digital vibrance ingame and I actually do some colour correction in Premiere/Vegas so my game doesn't look quite this good.

I don't really get what you say a few times in this video, that dogfighting is dead. I love dogfigfting in BFV, I'm always looking around to see whether my teammate is being chased and when they clear your six it's the best feeling.
