Congratulations! I’ve been looking at pre-owned 2016 Audi A6’s and 2016/17 BMW 330i’s. They are still extremely expensive (for me atleast). I’ve decided to check out preloved Volvos. The prices are much more affordable for the same milage. I don’t know much about them or cars in general. May I ask what sold you on the Volvo S60?
I got the same car certified pre owned around the same time as you. My car basically is the 2016 version of this car. 18" alloy/gloss black wheels and osmium grey exterior. The main difference in color is the interior. I have a black interior and this car is white.
I bought the T5 S60 R design, only really because i preferred the looks and interior aesthetics. Very happy with my purchase. I considered a BMW but i never felt any sense of desire for one. The S60 has appeal to me probably because it's so uncommon, especially on UK roads. Ive seen maybe only 2 others.
Volvo's are soo underrated and unappreciated. This car is just as good, if not better in terms of build quality and amenities as the BMW 3-series/Audi a4/Mercedes C-class! #TeamSweden 🇸🇪

One of the world's most beautiful cars, both on the inside and outside. In contrast to the German rivals, Volvo cars have charm and personality. And all the talk about poor quality and reliability is just bullshit. In Sweden, many V90 are used as taxis and have already rolled far without problems.
Volvo almost disappear from Mexico because in the past years, they had terrible issues with the transmission. They change the 2 year limit warranty to 5 year warranty in order to gain again new clients because you almost don't see volvos in Mexico city. I was a Volvo enthusiast, incredible cars and SUVs.
Imagine the following scenario: you just went for a drive in this car and you're on your way back home,, you drive up to the garage and park the car in front of it. You turn off the engine,, you open the door,, take all your stuff out of the car and you walk away WITHOUT locking the car through the handle or the key,, will the car lock itself after a while or will the car stay open? I ask this question because the car I drive now, has this auto-lock when you walk away with the key. So I just park, turn off engine,, walk away and once i'm 5 meter away from the car, I hear a beep and it locks itself. It's very handy and I was just wondering if Volvo has a thing like this.
I've heard a lot of great things about the S60. But, if one is looking to buy one I would wait awhile and get a used one. Volvo cars are heavily discounted on the used car market.

I don't understand the fake exhausts or non-real quad pipes. What is the gain or the disadvantage of either to not have actual quad pipes or fake exhaust? This is better than fake but why make it look like a dual on each side instead of just doing it right? You see inside them there's hole under the pipe inside. I just don't get it.
I had a 2001 S60 T5 and it was the worst car I have ever owned. I loved the car and and also hated it because of the ongoing fuel induction problems. Even though I would love to own one I vowed to never own one. I spent countless times being stranded and towed, and spent thousands of dollars on a car that had only 175,000 miles. I now have a 2008 Toyota Highlander with the same millage and NO problems at all. Just regular maintenance. On the Volvo it was recommended to change the oil every 7k miles, I did it every 3,500 miles. When it reached 165K miles the head had multiple cracks & one of the spark plugs flu out. This was on a perfectly maintained engine, no overheating etc. When I spoke to Volvo and said they should fix it at their expense because it had to be a bad casting, (this is a non moving item here). They told me what do I expect the car has 165k miles on it. Really, I said, I have had cars with 400k miles w/o problems like this car. I was on the 3rd blower fan at $400 a pop. Thousands spent on all sort of modules etc., the car was a joke. Even Inskip Motors of Warwick, RI gave up the franchise.
I just took delivery of an S60 T5 RDesign. Lovely car in terms of looks and interior comfort. Only down side is the engine note - so uninspiring- come on Volvo - ford and VW can make their sporty 4 cylinders sound ok - it really reduces enjoyment of spirited driving 😒
You should open a fan store like a lot of RUclipsrs did. You can sell stuff like mugs, t-shirts... and obviously the finger pointer. Up vote my comment if you would like to buy one...
I got feeling that drivers of BMW, Mercedes cars are perceived by public in negative way, specially BMW drivers givi this brand very dirty and negative reputation. As Volvo driver you get peaceful, warmed perception from others people. Volvo S60 is something like new Passat it's stylish, elegant but others people don't hate you driving it.
A big vehicle like this should be at least a V6 or Streaight 6 ...or V8...not enough power for the way the vehicle look..the design do not respond to the small Engine-power they put in the car.
@@ThePieMan159 Yeah I always hated the five cylinder cars...I remember the Audi 5000 I use to own one with a five cylinder turbo diesel...not a good car back then...Hopefully Volvo is a different kind of beast...
@@rubespotdesign it has a lot of compression man tons of horsepower and engine for the cylinder. I'm not sure how fast you'll be going but you want to stay alive sure you could shed weight in a Honda/Toyota/BMW but its going to crumple up like foil when that huge lifted Ram 3500 heads you on
hyundai, chevy, mazda, infiniti, nissan, cadillac, BMW, Kia, Honda have all copied the design of the low, sharkfin sedan now all their sedans look like Volvo

As a proud Volvo owner for years nothing comes close Mercedes Lexus nor BMW. Volvos are very special automobiles nothing compares.
Im still 18 currently studying in college and this car definitely my dream car.. gotta work hard for this

papoopa5800 Mechanically, it last for a long time. Well built. Software issue is the main issue. But, they do a good job correcting it.
