    This continues to be one of my favorite videos on the subject of strategic planning, and I viewed it again today. Based on today's viewing, I developed a one-sentence, concise reason to set up a strategic plan (To provide focus to my current law practice while allowing me to transition to a second career in commercial real estate development, with the target of creating a corporate structure by 2028 and purchasing the first property by 2030.) and identified six stakeholders who could assist with developing the transition from practicing law to developing commercial real estate.

      Winner of a video, I've been looking for "what are the four stages of project management?" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you ever come across - Tannilara Stupendous Transcendence - (just google it ) ? It is a great exclusive product for discovering how to getting 7000 plus project management and business templates minus the headache. Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my mate got great results with it.

    Thanks for the full explanation about strategic planning, really appreciate the work.
    I wanna ask one thing to be clear in my mind. Please answer me if you could. For my assignments, I need to develop a strategic plan in the context of the case study and article provided, one for 1,000 words and one for 1,500 words. Within those word limit, do I have to cover all steps of strategic planning process? Is there any difference between developing a strategic plan and creating a strategic plan?
    If we develop a strategic plan to expand the business by finding the right markets, do we need to include all steps you have said or all steps of strategic planning process? Thanks again, looking forward to your reply ASAP.

      As someone that has coached multiple business case competitions. Write your paper in enough detail that the person knows what you're trying to accomplish it, and how you're going to do it.
      They should also be able to understand your thinking and your rationale.
      Don't think like a student, think like a professional. :)
      I hope that helps!

      @@SMEStrategyINC YEAP. According to your video, if we want to develop a strategic plan, we need to do strategic planning process of the organisation first such as internal and external analysis, stakeholder analysis, KPI, etc. ; my understanding is right??

      I'd say it's no different than any other business/organization. Start with the end in mind, prioritize and work backwards. :)

  • @MistaSmith

    Why do I do a SWOT first if it is not used to create a vision? Why do I create a vision if it's not an input or filter to creating a mission? etc.

    • @SMEStrategyINC
      @SMEStrategyINC  3 года назад +1

      I'm going to answer this in a video because it's such a great question.
      Short Answer: You need alignment between your SWOT and your vision. (If you build a vision without thinking about your SWOT you're not going to accomplish your vision)
      If your mission doesn't align with your vision then you're going to be doing stuff that's moving you in the wrong direction.
      Great question! Thanks for asking Erik- I hope that helps, and keep an eye out for that video.
