Best video and explanation I watched so far, I am happy I found this cause I thought I am just unable to learn it. Keep it up, may Allah bless your work. Jazak Allahu khayr.
This might be the single best language instruction I've ever seen, in person or virtual. Your multiple explanations and visual guides are incredibly helpful. Thank you!

Brother you made a typo
Jazak Allahu khairan for another outstanding lesson! SubhanAllah! I was taught that the tongue should be pressed to the gum line on the left side (above the upper molars) to say it properly. So, this is a different technique. One of the Prophet's (saw) companions could say it perfectly from either side, so I've been told.
I love Arab people ,very friendly and hospitable people and very rich culture and rich music and language .
Please continued your lessons
I love this, jazakallah may Allah reward you in abundance .
Thanks so much for the video! :D Have a new sub
Awesome explanation. I always wanted to pronounce this correctly, but always just mixed "dal" and "ayin". After seeing your sketches, I was suddenly able to make this sound authentically without any effort. Amazing!
Jazak Allahu khairan.
May Allah reward you and forgive us thank you
Masha Allah
May Allah bless ...leading learning it even from India 🇮🇳

Soo my bahraini fiancé sent me here to notice the difference between ض and ظ and come back to him to keep practicing😆😅

Thanks! It is also used in Urdu.
I kinda find it funny that ض is one of the hardest when i had the least difficulty pronouncing this compared to ع .

Beautiful explanation, Masha’Allah! Jazakum Allah Khair!
جزاك اللهُ خيراً brother
Jazakallah very nicely explained
Jazak Allah khair, you are a the best teacher... Ma Sha Allah
I've notice with Pakistani and many other people that they pronounce it with letter a "Z" sound almost like a heavy Dzal. The closest to English is probably the word "dunk" or "dad"
Dunk helps a lot. JazakhAllah khairun
Both dunk and dad are daal, not dhaad. Closest in English is probably "the" though even that is not close enough - hence why he said it's a unique sound.
Alhumdulliah 💖 May Allah reward you for all your hard work. Ameen.
Elhamdulillah.
Thank you so much for the explanation.
May Allah help us.
I'm from Bangladesh ❤🇧🇩
This is what my teacher told me! It's easier said than done but if I focus on it I can. Thanks for the great videos 👍

As a Chinese I read our university book showed the same way as you did sir, only there were two more different ways, the yellow part is the same, but the blue parts we don’t use both of them just only one side of them , that’s much easier for us 😂

Excellent your pronunciation. Thanks 😨
شكرا لك على هذا الدرس الجميل
ولدي ملاحظة وهي انه اشتهر بين الناس او العرب ان حرف الضاد غير موجود الا في اللغة العربية ولكن الحقيقة هي ان هذة المعلومة خاطئة والصحيح ان حرف الظا هو الحرف الذي تتميز فيه اللغة العربية وحدها من بين لغات العالم ...
Thank you. I watch your video many time over many dax till i did it. Thank you salam alaykum 😘
Very good instruction! I am just confused after watching your latest video where you say that ض is a fricative?

Some ulama says Arabs forgot the mahrac of "ض". Something wrong in this video.
İbnu'l-Jazarî (d. 823/1429), Imam Shatibî (d. 790/1388), Sheikh Izzuddin ar-Resa'nî (d. 661/1263), Abu Amr ad-Dânî (d. 444/1052), Jamaluddîn Ibn. Malik el-Harîrî (d. 516/1122), Sheikh Jamâluddîn (ö. 762/1274), Muhammed b. Ahmed b. Jabir el-Hevârî (d. 780/1378)
Those ulama wrote specific books for the letter "ض" can be confused with "ظ”
Your pronunciation of "ض" is a clear “d” and cannot be confused with "ظ”. Either the ulama wrote for nothing, or you are wrong.
Edit: Also Arabic called as "Lugatu'd-Dad" because of the unique mahrac of "ض" . If this mahrac is so simple and not unique like letter "d" then what is the point of calling Arabic like that?
He isn't pronouncing it like d. He started with back of the tounge touching side.
Thanks 🇺🇿
Thanks
Salam, is it possible that you mention the refrence of the book where its makhraj is written
Assalamu alaikum , Good explanation
waalaikum assalam. I love you man you are just awesome. you just help out a long time pain
But ض has the swifaat of istitalaa which means to lengthen ur tongue from the upper heard palate to the near of makharij د..
Very good explained Jazak Allah
4:08 no qalqalah / bounce for ض
Assalamu alaykum, thanks for the video and I have a question:
From which side bottom or up of the teeth should I pronounce ضا,
I will be waiting for Your response, Thanks
Wa alikom asslam brother,
Thank you very much for the nice words
Here is the answer to your question:
The sides of your tongue (only the sides) at pressing against the upper teeth on both sides of your mouth. This means in the middle of your tongue is kindda lowered and there's some sort of a valley. This is where air is trapped (remember tips of the tongue is at the upper teeth, trapping air) , and that is why you should hear ض in your head, before it comes out of your mouth. This process particularly (trapping air there) is the essence of producing the ض sound.
I hope this answers the question.
@@Arabic101 MashaAllah your Answer was easy to understand, thanks, Shavval Mubarak)
I‘m from Uzbekistan..
This was good explained, I could understood it very well. ( my mother tongue is german)
The sad is much more difficult for me
The most difficult sound in Arabic for me is the sound of the letter ع
JazaakAllah i was just confused. Bang on your vedio pops up. If Allah wills anything can happen one miracle for me from Allah
Awesome
Brother when I pronounce the letter ض I don’t find myself able to do it the way it is taught. I cannot apply pressure with the sides of my tongue. However when I pronounce it, it comes out sounding right. I am a native speaker. I know that doesn’t necessarily matter but as a nativr speaker I try to modify my pronunciation to improve it with whatever knowledge I already have of pronouncing the sounds of the language but I cannot seem to achieve what you and others are teaching about the letter ض.
Assalamualaikum Brother,
Do you have online classes / institute for non Arabic speakers.
