This exact problem has happened on my 2011 VW Caddy 1.2 TSi twice. Those plastic PCV valve hoses are complete trash. I took my car to an authorised dealer garage and the first time it was a straight fix, but the second time they wanted to charge me 4 times as much becuse they wanted to dismantle the engine to find the 10mm end of the pipe that had broken off and went into the oil system. I have rejected this additional precautionary check as it is mainly for the gararge to have their backs covered. They know full well that these plastic valves are trash and break off so they should be more careful removing and replacing these parts. I will now get my car back and keep an eye out for oil leaks and and loss in power or excessive oil usage. If you do fix this rourself try and see if you can remove the whole broken-off end pipe from the hole it goes into WITHOUT it falling into the engine. I am hoping in my case it will fall through to the sump or oil filter.
I have the same problem for my 2011 Polo 1.2. When check with mechanic, he mentioned that there is a lot of 'carbon shit' inside the valve/host that lead to 'wind' not enough. He advise instead of engine oil to change at every 15k (recommend by VW), we should change every 5k to keep the engine longer life, due to the fact that turbo engine is very sensitive and should need to take care. Fyi, I have almost change everything, Plug Coil, megatronic, valve (don't know what is that call), and the last thing is the host that stuck with carbon. hopefully everything will be okay.
Great sharing. I also changed like what you did upon 8.5 years of ownership and sold the car last year. Car was running great. From my learning, the pcv valve is responsible to keep the intake clean. If fail or broken, more of dirty oil will go into the car intake and gunk up the throttle body thus require frequent cleaning.

From other commenter, he spoke to the SC they say it will go in the engine moving parts below and get crushed. And little bits will stuck at the oil filter. This will be removed in the next oil changed. I heard this from 2 sources. Surely this will not go into the combustion chamber.
Here's my view on vw, polo, golf, jetta and all, DONT BUY, infact dont even use it if they gives you free. I have a mercedes ml320, 300s, Cherokee 4.0, isuzu, Chevrolet, Perodua Kembara, some for 20 years and NONE, never had these expensive problem occuring like daily, constantly problematic lights came on. I have spent more than 10k on this useless 2010 polo 1.2tsi since I bought it 3 months ago. And I bought it for 24k. Imagine the repair cost, and that is using 2nd hand or re- parts. A re-cond mecha cost me more than 4k( a new is like close to 10k). After watching the parts in the mecha on youtube, it maybe cost like 300 ringgit, just a few solenoids, a small motor and some circuits. My ml 320 had the same problem and was on limb mode due to a lost rubber bush in the shift padle and after changing all the solenoids, 6 liters of transmission oil, less than a thousand inclusive labor. I had never spent more than 1k of repair on any of my vehicles since 1 started driving in 1980. This is a sad era where manufacturers produces products to make money for them and vw is among the worse. All I hear from vw owners are costly repairs... Dont buy this shit.

Laa.. Melayu rupanya
Assalamualaikum boss..berapa boss beli tuu..saya ada problem yg sama
Alamak saya tak dapat recall dah lama. Maybe range RM300-500. Tak murah jugak benda tu. Mmg datang seketul tak boleh remove yg plastik patah tu. Beli kat lua murah sikit dari VW.
Initially I don't know what it was when VW SC send me the photo of the broken PCV pipe.. but I get them to change for RM580.. now I have a better picture what the PCV is for after watching your video 👍.. I think rm500 plus is reasonable?
Reasonable?. Well when i first gladly found out the broken piece, I thought ahhh its just some plastic valve must be cheap. I am absolutely wrong. It comes with the hose attach to it and all. Still expensive tho.
@@CarcareenaDetailing ya... I thought they only need to change the broken part.. but the hose comes together as a whole unit and need to pay for the whole thing..😣
@@CarcareenaDetailing I just did a tracing of the hose and it seems the PCV and EVAP are joined together and fed into the air intake just before the turbo, Correct me if I am wrong.. if that so our turbo must be super oily and dirty... I just did the walnut blast on my intake valves 😓
I beleive so that could be. Then you should check your throttle body intake. If oily and gunk you should clean it with throttle body cleaner.
@@CarcareenaDetailing yup.. throttle body was cleaned up too 😊
Has anyone tried loosing the rubber gasket inside the engine and problably also the broken plastic piece. Will i get a problem sooner og later with a smashed piece inside an oil channel and thereby get issues?
From other commenter, he spoke to the SC they say it will go in the engine moving parts below and get crushed. And little bits will stuck at the oil filter. This will be removed in the next oil changed. I heard this from 2 sources. Surely this will not go into the combustion chamber.
i can´t find this pcv, HELP
Dónde la compraste
Is the epc light came up too?
Not for that time. Try clean the throttle body intake.
@@CarcareenaDetailing ok tq... Mine came epc light with code p0222 😨
