as a nurse in this field, i suggest making your birth plan more about the contingencies of what you want should "blank" happen. if that makes sense. rarely does birth go exactly to our ideal but if you can at least plan ahead for what you want when certain things inevitably go differently, thats usually the most helpful for your medical team to know.

Yes, have a Plan A wishlist, but also like a Plan B-H of contingencies just in case. We all want a (relatively) simple and easy birth, but birth can be unpredictable and can change at the drop of a hat. If you plan for the contingencies it can help with stresses and fear if something in Plan A can't happen.

I enjoyed hearing what you said about the finances etc - I think it is common for the significant other to think about those things. When my husband and I found out we were pregnant he immediately went and crunched numbers

At first you're gonna feel like butterflies in your stomach around 20ish wks, but just wait till the end when you see an arm, or foot poking out of your stomach! Its cool and I know you'll be the most excited for those moments! Please keep updating like you have been bc im so here for it!!!

Thank you for being so vulnerable and real! Often times no one ever admits if there is one gender they would prefer more and what that is. But I think most of us know that if you have a boy you would absolutely love him and you never regret it because the love you have for your baby is unlike anything else. I felt the exact same way!

Please know that gender disappointment is NORMAL when you find out what it is! If you're wanting a specific thing and get the opposite, IT'S OK TO FEEL DISAPPOINTED! You will process that and come around to what you're having and it WILL ALL BE OK!

As a first time mom to an 11 month old also expecting #2, Sawyers attitude is perfect. It’s as hard as you make it but if you choose to find the joy in all the parts of parenthood you WILL love it. It’s not easy, but its SOOO rewarding and honestly just awesome. We love it SO much. You guys are going to be the best freaking parents. Wish we could be friends

So I found out I was pregnant on New Year’s Day. Well I just found out a few days ago that I’m having TWINS!!! So crazy! I’m excited to go through this with you even though you’re a couple months ahead of me.

Mama to a 6 month old and had an extremely positive labor and delivery experience! My best advice for a birth plan is to plan on going with the flow! I had a very minimal list of what I wanted which was minimal pain and safest delivery for my baby - aside from that I was just up for whatever felt best to us in the moment without to much planning in advance. I carried this mindset through to breastfeeding and navigating lots of new decisions those first couple months being a new parent and I swear the mindset saved me from having mom guilt when I made decisions like switching to bottle, formula feeding, moving baby to the crib, etc. it was all just doing what felt right for us in the moment and ensured a happy and safe mom and baby

I had an anterior placenta with my first baby girl, and it took a while to feel definitive kicks! I have a posterior one this time, and there is nothing keeping this girl’s punches hidden 😂

I’ve noticed Sawyer acting less and less attentive/ considerate towards you and what you say in videos. Hoping you are still being treated as a Queen that is equal to her King. I love your positive energy in videos!! Thanks for sharing your journey!

My best birth plan tip is don’t have one. Learn about your options but the best thing I ever did for myself was just go with the flow of my baby and my body. Go in open minded, trust your doctors, no expectations

Sniffing a alcohol pad was recommended to my Dad by the hospital after his surgery but I would for sure check with your OBGYN since it does involve a baby.

If you do a birth plan I would change your mind set to "birth preferences" not "birth plan". Because things don't always.go as planned and if you have your mind set on something you might be easily disappointed if something does have to go differently. I highly suggest delayed cord clamping and also delayed bath (like a few days until first bath). Definitely look into both these things so you can see what it's all about.

Those are the exact same symptoms I've had - even down to the burping! My MIL said that meant a boy - and she was right! My placenta is somewhat in the front so I didn't really start feeling baby until 20 weeks. It feels like being poked from the inside haha. Currently 21 weeks so about a month ahead of you. I really enjoy your videos and following along with your pregnancy journey!

For me personally. I felt my baby moving but didnt realize that it was the baby I was feeling if that makes since lol. It felt like little flutters. Or a bubble popping from the inside. The early movements anyways lol It is the most amazing feeling in the world. My doctors office was like yours too. I seen every doctor in there.

Omg I didn’t know it could be a big needle for genetic testing. I have that coming up soon. Now I’m nervous. I just had blood drawn a few days ago and they took 8 viles! So one is easy peasy.

It’s not different than any other blood draw. It will be all good. Not scary at all :)

I think the heartbeat rate says it's a girl, but Achilles is definitely a great choice for a name. Also, remember that sex determined at birth doesn't define their gender and they might be totally different than your expectations! Happy and healthy energy to you all!
