So refreshing to hear a women say its no ones business or why you choose to feed your baby the way you did. Absolutely spot on us women have too much pressure put on us anyway. We should all support each other and never judge what we choose to do. Sending love and i hope your baby girl arrives on sunday ❤❤
Amen to this! Everyone should do whatever they want/feel is right for their family and not feel any guilt for it. I deffo feel way more confident as a second time mama making these sorts of decisions with confidence 🫶🏼
@@HomeWithShanhis is so true some people can't do it for different reasons it didn't work for me I would of loved to with my second but couldn't you should not be made to feel that its wrong not to
My baby girl is now one week old and it's definitely been a big change for my son! He's had good days, but we also had some bad drama, tantrums and jealousy days! His whole normal routine with mummy is completely out the window and I'm still recovering from the c section! But today he asked to hold her for the very first time and omgggg my heart! ❤❤❤ Hope you have a fabulous birth experience!! Soooon!
All the best Shan, you’ll be fab and keep that positive affirmation of seeing your baby girl meet your baby boy and you’ll be grand! I was 12 days early with my first and 11 days late with my second, both spontaneous labours, every experience is different even with the same woman! It’s so hard to stay patient once you go over especially like yourself and how I was expecting the baby 2 weeks early, I felt like I’d been pregnant a whole other month compared to my first, but stay patient and just pamper yourself and stop rushing labour, it will happen promise you won’t be pregnant forever ❤ xx
I cant believe how quickly this pregnancy has gone, it feels like 5 minutes ago you were in your first trimester. So excited for you, sending so much love xx
@@HomeWithShan it’s literally crazy, I don’t know if it makes a difference with a toddler though, I’m due in January and I literally feel already like this is flying by especially since it feels like Christmas will be here before we know it! Hoping baby girl makes her appearance soon and that you have the best most uncomplicated labour possible 🤍
Watching this while my 2yr old naps and 11 day old baby has a bottle… it’s been a wild ride so far but the bond between my boys already is so lovely 🥺❤️
My first boy was born at 41 weeks, induced with my daughter at 41 weeks 6 days, my second boy was born at 41 weeks. My third labour was so fast he came out after 10 minutes of pushing. Good luck can't wait to hear about your labour. And can't wait to see baby girl xx
I feel like in the blink of an eye your pregnancy has gone so quick! We worries about our eldest almost 2 when we had our second and he has additional needs and he was absolutely amazing we were worried but he always wanted to kiss him and help feed him, The transition from 1 to 2 is so much easier than 0 to 1 xx
I have a 2 year old daughter and an 8 week old son (daughter was 23 months when he was born). It has honestly been so much easier than the transition from 0 to 1! And by far easier than being pregnant with a toddler. My daughter has her moments of jealousy where she tries to hit/bite little brother, but generally she has adjusted really well. Theres nothing like hearing a tiny voice saying "i love you" to their baby sibling ❤ youve got this!!!! Good luck! Xxx
Can't wait for this baby to arrive for you. Been following you since I was pregnant with my first and now i've had my second so empathise with everything. Firm believer that you're probably right about the due date. My first was 6 days late by measured date but right on time based on my ovulation calculations. Good luck!
All the best Shan ❤ We've recently had baby number 3 and it's been the easiest transition of the 3. You'll be fine 😊 Sending you all the positive birthing vibes ❤ xxx
Can relate! 38 weeks and a sweaty mess everyday in this heat and need constant cold showers 😅 wanting baby out asap! Hope baby girl arrives for you soon!
I'm just heading into my second trimester with baby number 2 I've been really really struggling hats off to any of your heavily heavily pregnant Mama's ❤
It’s a pain isn’t it hahaha! Sending you all the cool air vibes haha! I remember my son was born in September so it was a loooooong hot summer in the third trimester! Xxx
We found out we are expecting our second! I'm already impatient with this pregnancy ha. I'm looking forward to seeing your transition from one to two. I'll be curious if there's any must have items when you have a baby and a toddler!
I'm pregnant with a 2 year old and I have all of the same fears and worries as you about how we will manage and how she will feel once baby brother is here. It's so hard but as you said others have walked this path before it's just the fear of the unknown. You'll figure it out with your partner and do things your own way ✨️ xx
You might be manafesting your birth date Friday - Monday. Think I manifested my "spontaneous" labour so I didn't have to take meds to have my planed c section. X
Hopefully things get moving for you soon. I had my second 8 weeks ago and it was quick. I had a long latent labour maybe 2 days then proper contractions started around 5pm, got to hospital around 11pm and she was born at 1:13 am. I went from 3cm to her being born in 2 hours. So it could be quick for you, keep yourself calm and relax and it will happen
I went from 1cm to my son being born within 1.5 hours, and he was my first! 😬 Definitely not complaining but a little worried that this time round I may not make it to the Birth Centre in time 🙈
I’m so happy I have found your channel 💕 It’s helped me so much as a new mum and to understand that normal life is beautiful, that you can aspire for more and still be grateful for where you are here and now. Love love love 🤍
My labour was similar to yours - 2hrs 45 mins from having my waters broken! That was the only intervention I needed 😂 Things moved so fast from there! Wishing you a gentle birth and gentle first few days with your new baby. You seem to have just the right attitude to breastfeeding: it doesn’t matter. Always remember to listen to your gut. Mama’s instinct is real. I felt I would be a failure if it didn’t work out so kept on pushing through excruciating pain (midwives told me his latch was fine and pain was normal). He never lost weight, increased very very slowly, but dropped from 80th centile to 4th in a few months. Despite that, midwives told me I just needed to persevere. Finally when he was 4 months he was diagnosed with a tongue tie (postierior and very hard to spot, which is why so many missed it). So he had been basically starving. And though his latch looked OK from the outside it was anything but inside, where no one could see - but I could feel it wasn’t right! From then on, after he had a procedure, breast feeding was much easier, though he never fully took to it fully and from that point also I introduced a bottle wondering why the hell no one had told me to give it a go earlier. He would have had a much better start in life if I had. Instead I was convinced it would cause “nipple confusion”, etc. Nonsense. He did breast and bottle with no issues from 4 months to 10, when he naturally stopped breastfeeding. Anyway, a very long winded way of saying no one knows best but you and you should trust your instincts on feeding, whatever they are telling you.
I completely feel you - I went to 41+1 but baby boy is now here! He's a week old tomorrow. The minute baby is here it won't even matter but it's such an exhausting frustrating nightmare when it's this hot as well 😢
Eeek, if that happens for us then she’ll be here on our wedding anniversary 🥹🫶🏼 Congratulations on the birth of baby boy 🥹🥰 I hope you’re loving the bubble together 🫶🏼
Shan, this is so crazy!! I hope it all goes well for you
Jumping from one to two is daunting but I promise you it all settles down & moulds together well once you get the hand of it ❤ I’m having the same feelings going from 2-3 haha! X
I think people ask the why bottle/ breastfeeding question to inform their own choices, not to shame, a lot of the time. For instance I chose breastfeeding because I percieved it the cheaper of the two options and much more convenient (just whip a tit out whenever wherever 😂) so it was for purely selfish reasons I chose that. When baby arrived (had a fairly traumatic birth and recovery) breastfeeding just clicked into place (after about a month 😅) and it felt like finally something is going right for us! The oxytocin rush which comes from breastfeeding is unlike any other I've experienced, definitely helped with the bonding in those early days. Best of luck to you! x
Felt exactly the same way about breastfeeding with no 1 and no 2, lovely to hear someone else felt the same! I am guessing her name is Emily/Emillie! ❤ Fingers crossed for you going into labour soon 😊
I breastfed my 1st for a year and yes it is hard (mostly due to feeding on demand) but I would say if you really want to do it stick with it when it gets tough because after a few weeks it really does get easier! Saying that I think I'll combi feed my 2nd just to give me more flexibility (going out of the house with my 1st for 1 on 1 time and leaving baby with dad for example) whatever is right for you❤

@HomeWithShan thank you for the response! I'll defo keep that in mind. All the best for bringing baby girl into the world, you've made pregnancy look like an absolute breeze (even though it of course never is), George is a super lucky big bro 💜
You said your worried about your toddler running off whilst you have a buggy this happened to me as a single mum the first time it was in the art gallery by the time I caught her she had scaled 3 or 4 sets of stairs it happens and in general it works out OK I ended up having to leave my son in his buggy and run I was lucky a security guard saw it happen and went straight to him when they are newborns they don't notice and it doesn't upset them but I quickly learnt that I had to remember to teather my daughter to the buggy and it stopped it there were times I'd be abused by strangers for treating her like a dog but both my children were safe and she was fine with it I even had a women abuse whilst her children were running wild in the city center running off and on the road dogging traffic so you will find a solution that will work for you and your son and stick to what you decide don't let others shame you for your decisions because your instincts will keep your children safe
Also, maybe try and go on a date if possible? I did that cause it was our anniversary and we were laughing for hours, good food, I was so happy and relaxed and the hormones kicked in. 5hrs later I was in labour, 39 weeks and 3days👌🏽😁
I felt like that with my 2nd that my due date was wrong. He came a day after my "due date" where as my daughter she came at 38+6 weeks naturally not induced xx
Hey hon! Sending you lots of love and positive energy for your second labour! A few things I tried for my labour was... drinking Castor oil, Hot Nandos, N*pple stimulation. Tbh my waters broke before I started contracting so I don't know if it worked or not. Good luck mama! X
Thank you so muchhhhh! I’ve tried the nips and a curry, but been advised against castor oil🙈 Everyone is so different but I’m just so exciting to see how this time goes for us 🙈🫶🏼
I felt exactly the same with my due date, from my own calculations I worked out my sons due date was March 24th but the scan said March 17th, I was induced and in active Labour March 24th and he was born in the early hours of March 25th. Good luck with everything xx
Yesterday I wanted to comment 25 June on Instagram... But I didn't.. So I'm with you on the date 😂 And my sister and I are also 2 years and 9 months apart.
I was 40+2 and did the curb walk for a like a mile, where you walk with one foot on the pavement and the other off to jiggly baby 😂 I’m convicted that did it.
It's my due date today with my 1st. I have a MW appointment today so I'm wondering what will be suggested at that appointment. I'm nervous yet very excited about what's to come. I'm hoping for things to go naturally rather then intervention but what will be, will be. ❤
How exciting!! Sending you all the labour vibes!! It’s my due date tomorrow and still nothing happening my end 😂🫣 Good luck with everything and just do whatever feels right for you and your little bub. Everything will be worth it once you meet them 🥹🫶🏼
Happy due date 🥳 mine was last Friday and still no baby. I’m having a home birth so now I’m just waiting for it to start but I have zero signs of labour so far, and it’s my first so I don’t even know what to expect.
It’s also my due date today too 🥰 Happy due date day to us ladies! ❤️ Thankfully I don’t feel in too much of a rush for baby to make an appearance. Trying to just be present in the moment and enjoy being able to get things done before the healing and rest period will begin following labour… ❤️ Sending happy birthing wishes to us all ❤️ xxx
Ahh I love that we're all around the same time, hopefully sooner rather than later we will all be snowed under with love, nappie, muslins and just general baby bubbled up!! Good luck to us all 🧡🧡🧡🧡
Bottle fed or Breastfed, it really doesn't matter so long as baby is fed 🙂. I think it's good you aren't focusing on the birth (definitely not silly!!), it's hard to prepare for it, even if you've been through it before! But it's a means to an amazing end! Hopefully not much longer to wait 🙂 xx

Yesterday I wanted to comment 25 June on Instagram... But I didn't.. So I'm with you on the date 😂
And my sister and I are also 2 years and 9 months apart.
Haha! That’s my guess anyway, we’ll see if we’re right haha!🙈
🤞
I was 40+2 and did the curb walk for a like a mile, where you walk with one foot on the pavement and the other off to jiggly baby 😂 I’m convicted that did it.
I have done this a little bit, but deffo not for a mile haha! I always feel like people are staring at me 😂😂xxxx
It’s my due date tomorrow and still nothing happening my end 😂🫣
Good luck with everything and just do whatever feels right for you and your little bub.
Trying to just be present in the moment and enjoy being able to get things done before the healing and rest period will begin following labour… ❤️
Sending happy birthing wishes to us all ❤️ xxx
Ahh I love that we're all around the same time, hopefully sooner rather than later we will all be snowed under with love, nappie, muslins and just general baby bubbled up!! Good luck to us all 🧡🧡🧡🧡
@@emmajohnson7306 this is soooo exciting! I’d love to hear about your home birth experience after you’ve had it! 🙈🥹
Sending you all the good vibes 🥰
Baby born before 42 weeks is not technically classed as overdue. Due date is only a guide
I bet the name is Emilia / Amelia / Amelie / Aurelia x
My guess for her name is Zara/ Zarah
Yea I agree or Hallie. She really seemed to love the name Hallie in her baby name video 😌 love both names 😊
Where is your dress from ❤️
This dress was boohoo maternity from 2020!! Xxx
My son was born at 42+3… and by my calculations my due date was two days later than what the nhs said, so he was actually 42+5 😂
