What a perfect balance to his time travel ability. There are so many drawbacks to such a powerful move. -Does not fully heal -Can only go back 3-4 seconds -Has to rev the Z-Drive first
I like how right after ekko reveals that the grenade will catch him in the blast too, jinx actually looks spooked by it, and jumps to stop him from being caught in the blast.
Vi tried to save Jinx, and I think her attempt may have helped prepare Jinx to be receptive to Ekko, but Vi couldn’t have saved her at that point. Jinx already knew that Vi would never give up on her, and she needed to be shown that someone other than her sister still cared about her. Even better that it was someone who had previously given up on her, and since decided that he was wrong to do so.
Ekko is literally Miles Morales here, this guy is anomaly to his world. "Jinx" was destined to be dead, but if it werent for Alt Powder monkes in Ekko's bulb. He's timeloop breaker

Some RUclipsr was saying that ekko shouldn't use his time ability reverse time, and save a life or certain important people because it will be considered cheap writing. Well a lot of you would be wrong because the way they animated and write his ability in this episode was A+ writing. the way they subverted our expectations with how he would use his ability was amazing.
They kept it extremely faithful to the game by limiting it to 4 seconds, I'm not sure why people thought he'd be able to time travel years at a time if they already knew about his abilities 😭
@Starpotion I agree I figured they were going to stick to the game lore but the way they explained the reason for the 4 seconds I thought was really creative and added a lot more contacts to how ekkos abilities works. He is seriously underrated though in the game.

Everything around him is completely rewound. HE rewinds to whatever position he was in before, but any physical injuries he took before then remain. So dude had taken like 4 or 5 partial explosions to the face by the time these two minutes were up, and he was feeling it.
...Ekko's rewind doesn't heal himself lmao. We've known this since Ekko's release back in like 2014. His little "character trailer" thingy showed EXACTLY that concept.
I’m not gonna lie, I couldn’t stop laughing at Ekko just trying his damndest to stop Jinx from killing herself & I loved it, especially after seeing him with Powder in the other reality.
0:54 I just love this scene a lot Like jinx is at the point of suicidal and wanting to die and have nothing left to lose after everything she been through as isha death really drove her to this and want to end her misery While ekko after spending time in the alt universe (or timeline?) really change his view on jinx and doesn’t want her to die and have to rewind time just so she can listen on what he had to say This just make my hearts sink to the ground 😭😭😭
It's very sad at the end as it is the song that answers Ekko with "please let me go." Seeing a person wanting to die is something very hard to digest, plus the helplessness of trying to help that person who no longer has the desire to move forward and seeing that nothing you tell them is working. Luckily Ekko could go back in time to convince her that there was another way without having to die. It is a very difficult scene to see, one of the crudest of all arcane.
I really love this scene so much, especially after watching episode 7. But one thing I have to point out that's haunting to me is how realistic Jinx is acting for someone who's suicidal. She's in so much pain after all she's gone through that she's just... numb. Dead inside. It's a terrifying thought. I've been in a similar headspace and it's horrible. Arcane has always done a fantastic job representing mental health.
This "build something new" quote along with the "gotta leave something behind" one is more proof that Jinx is alive. She chooses to leave Piltover and the ones she loves behind, so both they and she can start something new. After all that she'd done, there was no way for her to stay, so she faked her death. It's just been announced that three spin-off shows in new locations are in production, and I guarantee that Jinx is on that airship at the end, heading towards on of those locations. She'll be the constant throughout the shows.
The airship is heading out over the ocean, so she's either going to Bilgewater or Ionia. My guess is Ionia where she hopes to find inner peace or something.

What a perfect balance to his time travel ability. There are so many drawbacks to such a powerful move.
-Does not fully heal
-Can only go back 3-4 seconds
-Has to rev the Z-Drive first
1:03 her makeup smudge spells "vi" backwards
I figured it was the roman numeral for four. "IV". Since four seconds is the amount that Ekko is able to rewind time
DOUBLE MEANING 🤯🤯🤯
@@abbysumiimeaning in double dose
I like how right after ekko reveals that the grenade will catch him in the blast too, jinx actually looks spooked by it, and jumps to stop him from being caught in the blast.
Her tears has IV in it

Realizing one of season 2s main themes is forgiveness and I’m a person that holds grudges 😭
SAME LMAO
Me too buddy
I love the detail of his face paint coming off more and more every rewind
Ekko tried to let go of her in the first season, but that time in the alt dimension showed she’s worth building something new for.
Ekko really said "I have seen how good this shit can get, and I'm dragging y'all as close to it as I can."
Ekko saving Jinx while CaitVi are having sexy time. My boi is the true hero
The boy savior. He saved everyone, and he saved her the most times.
throwback to his reveal trailer when he risks his life just to protect someone’s mural from being destroyed in a fight
he put his own life in jeopardy just to protect some wall art, that is insane and suicidal levels of altruism
Even at his most powerfull ekko could only rewind 6 minutes like in the "chronobreak" comic
"Domarmu!!!!... i mean Jinx! I came to make a bargain!"

OH MY GOD WHEN THE BLINKING SYNCED UP WITH THE SINGER SAYING “go” ??? Something artistic is happening here and I can’t describe it. 😭
the boy who shattred time :)
that must be so scary cause everything reset except Ekko se you can still see the burning ashes of the explosion on him
I like that "please let me go" continues in the last scene with Vi, such a nice detail
This scene from Jinx's perspective:

Funny you mention this, in the brazilian portuguese dub Ekko shares his VA with Miles Morales
Jinx’s wants out so badly and it is saying a lot she’s so done with everything
Jinx: keeps blowing herself up
Ekko: stop blowing your self up for one second!
My man Ekko gave up the universe of his dreams so he could save everyone. Truly the GOAT. He certainly lived up to his title of (The Boy Saviour)

amazing how Ekko was the glue that kept the story together
Ekko wound up being the most important person in Arcane
This feels like the Life is Strange and I love it
FR
AND I'M HAPPY THAT I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE REALIZED THIS
I THOUGHT THIS TOO
LITERALLY REMINDED ME OF THE ROOFTOP SCENE WITH KATE 😭
This is how it would have gone down if Max didn't overexert herself and lost energy for the power. But then there'd be no consequences for messing up, since Kate didn't have a bomb XD
IM SO GLAD OTHER PPL THOUGHT THIS OMG, LITERALLY THE ROOFTOP SCENE WITH KATE MARSH 😭😭
At 0:25, Ekko is bleeding, does this mean the time-machine he built takes a toll on him with every use?
I think that the time Machine take im back however he sustain his injury from the explosion
Edit goddam, i did not expect to get this many likes
No, just his body doesn't return
Everything around him is completely rewound. HE rewinds to whatever position he was in before, but any physical injuries he took before then remain. So dude had taken like 4 or 5 partial explosions to the face by the time these two minutes were up, and he was feeling it.
...Ekko's rewind doesn't heal himself lmao. We've known this since Ekko's release back in like 2014. His little "character trailer" thingy showed EXACTLY that concept.
The Z-drive can't heal his injuries. Or if it does, it doesn't do so perfectly. (it does in the game but that's a balance thing).
Jinx: Get out of here Ekko
*proceeds to point blank nuke him before he can run*
A little detail in this scene is that she thinks his a hallucination but realizes he isn't and instead of hurting him, she decides to fall.
I’m not gonna lie, I couldn’t stop laughing at Ekko just trying his damndest to stop Jinx from killing herself & I loved it, especially after seeing him with Powder in the other reality.

I just love this scene a lot
Like jinx is at the point of suicidal and wanting to die and have nothing left to lose after everything she been through as isha death really drove her to this and want to end her misery
While ekko after spending time in the alt universe (or timeline?) really change his view on jinx and doesn’t want her to die and have to rewind time just so she can listen on what he had to say
This just make my hearts sink to the ground 😭😭😭
Bro was playing Life is Strange fr
Lmao fr fr
This scene hurt so much. As someone who struggled with depression, I empathized with where Jinx was. The utter…desolation. I wanted to cry for her.
MAN, she was CHECKED OUT, like, literally... 😢
JINX AND EKKO MY #1 AND #2 GOATS
I really love this scene so much, especially after watching episode 7. But one thing I have to point out that's haunting to me is how realistic Jinx is acting for someone who's suicidal. She's in so much pain after all she's gone through that she's just... numb. Dead inside. It's a terrifying thought. I've been in a similar headspace and it's horrible.
Arcane has always done a fantastic job representing mental health.
My man Ekko carrying Piltover on his back. Dude has been putting in work and never once fumbled.
They say keep your dearst friends close
Keep your enemies closer
You are my greatest enemy..
Jinx after the talk: I want to live!!!
In perspective of Jinx, they met here again after she tried to off herself in the bridge too.
Max Caulfield: "First time?"
Real
Jinx: LET ME GO! LET ME DIE!
Ekko:⏱
The carry of Arc 3, the boy who shattered time, the boy savior…
“I can fix her” AND HE IS
This is such a nice nod to his comic, where he constantly goes back in to try and fail to save his best friend, only here he actually succeeded!
the amount of times she actually kills herself before ekko rewinds shows how much she really wanted to die at that moment
Jinx: 💣 💥
Ekko: “ahh shit. Here we go again”
Her hair looked so good here
This "build something new" quote along with the "gotta leave something behind" one is more proof that Jinx is alive.
My boy Ekko saved the day😎
they’re tragically beautiful
