    I love this dramatic old man National Geographic voiceover approach to snowboarder commentary.
    "The gold medal was still there to be won. Absolutely incredible how the nordic man approached the obstacle to assert his dominance; but alas, the American prevailed. Also Canada."

    I'm from Canada and was rooting for McMorris all the way....but for me it should have been:
    1) Stale 2) Sage 3) McMorris.

    Hahaha, I loved how Sage messed up Stale's beanie twice at the end without knowing.

    1. Sandbech 2.McMorris 3. Kotsenburg

      totally agree; sandbech run is so awesome, mcmorris also but he repeats himself too much... kotsenburg is totally overrated.............

    • @edrumz1998
      @edrumz1998 9 лет назад +14

      xikitz sage is not overrated, he is keeping snowboarding alive the way it should be, most other contest snowboarders have lost all the style that they once had.

    • @xikitz
      @xikitz 9 лет назад +1

      Eli i agree with you, sage is an awesome rider; i referred to that run in particular, i think it's a bit overrated from my pov in comparison to sandbech

      guys seem to not comprehend that a 1620 japan is more ''technical'' than 1440 triples. but hey, no big deal, a lot of people dont know a lot.

    • @edrumz1998
      @edrumz1998 9 лет назад

      phil d technicality is overrated, style all the way, i mean 1620's are rad, but style is what snowboarding is supposed to have, its supposed to be a lifestyle, not a job.

    Sandbech deserved gold!

      Sandbech and Kotsenburg are both amazing snowboarders, Ståles run was cleaner but come on, a 1080 double nose grab and a 1620 japan. So much style and creativity in Kotsenburgs run, more than deserved!

    I like how the Slopestyle course was decorated with a giant Russian nesting doll the snowboarders could jump over!

    Hey. Hello. How are you all?. Who was the commentator for the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics in Slope style. I know it was a male commentor. I don't remember his name. Does any of you guys know who was the commentator doing the commentary for the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics Slope style?. Please tell me kindly.

    I think McMorris's run was the cleanest, but Kotsenburg's was the most impressive. Of course, I've lived in Oklahoma and Texas my whole life, and I know little to nothing about snowboarding.

      People like him are the ones who take the fun out of the sport and just go to the gym to get it. Take the liver to the gym like Hallador and Sage. Snowboarding shouldnt be a business, its a way of life

      xremdog29x It's not a competition on who's coolest or who has the best time. Snowboarding needs riders like Sage, who cares more about style than doing the biggest, baddest tricks, representing snowboarding.

  • @soliano2061

    I even remember the Danish media!!!!! (then are only commentating) going crazy over Sandbech not winning this final.
    And like everyone agreed... Sage was nothing compared to Staale. Fucked by poor poor judges. They should have been fired long tima ago

  • @joshwilson5403

    any argument that Sandbech should have won gold is invalid. he does the same generic run and almost always ends with a triple cork

  • @coleperry5198
    @coleperry5198 9 лет назад +17

    Mark Mcmorris is getting boring to watch, hes not creative at all he just hucks and tucks and throw big things. Mixing it up like Kotsenberg is honestly the way to go. Watch this years x games ski big air finals and see the winner wasnt doing triples, just getting creative and trying new things.
