I was working in Seattle when that movie came out. The Starbuck's scene had the theatre in stitches.

If you aren't familiar with the old 007 movies (this title is taken from the 007 film THE SPY WHO LOVED ME-1977), Beatlemania, Laugh-In, etc. you won't really get the references in Austin Powers' films. Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) - not LGBTQ (LMAO!!! BOTH Ways!). That's actually Burt Bacharach behind the piano performing his old hit I'LL NEVER FALL IN LOVE AGAIN, with Elvis Costello. JUST THE TWO OF US is an original Bill Withers hit from 1980.

I don’t know why, but everyone who watched the first part of Austin Powers on RUclips, everyone has a version without some scenes. I don’t understand why these scenes are cut out, I’m from Russia and when I watched this film on TV in the mid-00s, these scenes were there , and for these scenes I just fell in love with this film, these are probably the funniest jokes in this film,
they brilliantly break the fourth wall, letting you understand that all the killed minions are also people with their families...))

Those scenes were in the international version, but not the U.S. version to keep the movie under 90 minutes, which is a benefit for certain market reasons.

Emotional investment.. have changed over the years....
I am old enough to KIND of know a HUGE part of the evolution of Television.. as how specific channels KIND of was able to be available all around the globe.
and.. from MY experience I'd say that "Dallas" was the TV show that made people.. emotionally invested first. Technically (as far as I know) the person playing "J.R" was.. the first person that was treated REALLY horrible.. because of the roll he was playing.. People had their NORMAL experiences with people and then.. UNLESS they were looking at people doing a "play".. overacting.. on a stage.. then.. UNLESS they saw some OBVIOUS sign that it was "fake" and IF they invested enough emotions to TRY to be "in love" with a narrative.. they.. got overly attached.
And..IF you ever say.. "okay boomer".. probability is that you HAVEN'T learned the lessons that they learned.. so.. you are PROBABLY wrong.. in most situations.
So.. What I KIND of wanted to say right now is that I AM attracted (fair enough: Sexually attracted).. to BOTH of these people.. because.. my mind work the way our minds are supposed to work from an evolutionary stand-point, so the difference is only because of technical progress and cultural changes that may or may not be reasonable.. either way they DID change.. so.. To talk about "me" and who I am and why I feel certain things.....
I REALLY.. know about various films.. and.. I OFTEN do rewatch films I love.. but also.. I AM curious as to what other people think or feel about those movies.. I MAY be annoyed if they are dissing something that I ACTUALLY like, and so on.. but.. yes.. I MAY actually be.. a boomer.. (nah, I am Gen-X, but I get accused to be one and I am perfectly willing to wear that badge, and debate any issue based on people's "labels" that they push onto me.. or more exactly "project" onto me)..
So.. I am ABSOLUTELY willing to say that.. My reactions are based on some form of.. "lower" instinct within my mind.. (feel free to learn about psychology; ESPECIALLY I think that the concept of "Super ego, ego, and id" Based on Freudian concepts ARE very valid.. I mean.. it's absolutely not correct as a final truth but as a "concept" it HAS merit from various standpoints when trying to discuss why what when where.. or other "W" phrases.. evene "What Women Wants".... the actual division of the human mind CAN be used.. properly.. and.. WOULD work even in modern day interpretations of psychology.. especially when it comes to HOW to help someone overcome a trauma.. so.. Nah.. You can think what you want, BUT don't just "ad hoc" reject it.
..... so.. as a GENERAL rule?.. People are ALWAYS reacting from a perspective that is based on previous generations and biology.. yet.. everyone.. ESPECIALLY the older generation.. DO seem to think that.. "what I THINK is true IS true".. so.. we tend to over-value our own perspective and ideologies.. so.
I AM attracted to BOTH of these girls.. but.. I SERIOUSLY have no plan on becoming some form of "Stalker".. yet.. I DO accept that.. TECHNICALLY someone else MAY think of me as a stalker.. I can't say that they are wrong.. I just never had any hostile intent... so.. exactly WHERE is the.. "fine line".. which is drawn in the sand.. between.. "OH!!.. I just felt an attraction toward this person".. and.. me being a bad person???..
and I DO know of the fact that it relates to me ACTUALLY doing something.. but that is ALSO specifically HOW relationships end up..

So.. I DO think there is a HUGE truth in the narrative that the DIFFERENCE between someone Meh, sorry but I THNK I should skip ahead right now, just to not waste your time....
The thing is.. What the.. GenY think of and how they feel about it.. is LITERALLY because of the changes in ideology that GenX.. CREATED!!!..
We SAW the flaws.. we recognized how reality was misinterpreted.. AND.. we never ever gave up on our ideologies (unlike the "hippie culture" or "Wood.stock" culture.. they are kind fo the SAME, but the people who were part of it.. changed their views as they grew up).. so.. Gen X... WE are the people who TAUGHT you the things ouo know and believe in..
Yet.. Whenever we don't just IMMEDIATELY agree.. we get accused and ridiculed.. (F.ex. using the "okay boomer" phrase).. so.. we CREATED the specific environment where you CAN think the way you do.. and.. you just randomly want to accuse us?.
I know I have stryed a LOT.. and.. I can stra in SIMILAR ways depending on MANY other discussions..
It depends a LOT on what people are.. "looking for".. or more importantly.. "Willing to change their views over"..
So.. just here and now?.. I am ABSOLUTELY.. CLOSE!!!!!.. to being a.. "groomer".. if talking about how I emotionally feel when I view stuff.
