Damn, I still remember the awe I had when I first entered the underwater tunnel on Aquatica. Even by today's standarts it looks good. The work they've done with light and colors and the overall composition is inspiring, with the arcs rhythmically passing by, amazing (1:08:20). And just in gerenal, the maps in this game worked so well, an art genius was working on them, they all have 3 polygons each, but have something that feels so real, I can't explain it, maybe it's just nostalgia speaking. What's that shit you're driving though? Everybody knew that Lamborghini Diablo was objectively the fastest car in the game.

Same here, and it left an impression that other racing games couldn't match after playing it. Idk what it is, the music, the tracks, or the Lamborghini Countach. As a kid I was never good at the game but, kept going back, I'm not even a big car racing guy, but now after 24 years, I think its time to revisit the game, even if its just for a couple more races!
They should make a new NFS with some classic tracks from the old games included (as a bonus). Would love to see a current-gen version of Hometown, Rocky Pass, Red Rock etc. from this game and Celtic Ruins, Dolphin Cove, Kindiak Park and others from NFS IV High Stakes.
I like how Gran Turismo has kept most of it's old tracks throughout the ages even as the focused shifted towards real world circuits. Trial Mountain and High Speed Ring have appeared in nearly every game in the series for example.

I really miss this game because not only did I never manage to finish it as a kid, the AI were also significantly more challenging so I really want to replay it sometime and win. Unfortunately my current setup cannot easily accommodate PS1 requirements and I really do enjoy souls games.

A principios de 2019 Falta un Remake de este JUEGAZO, pero tal cual era, esa sensación de velocidad única con ese modo arcade insuperable. Se perdió este sistema de juego en el camino. Su evolución fue lógica y buenísima con los NFS underground, Most wanted, incluso Bournout. Ahora los NFS son un bodrio al lado de esta maravilla.
en lo personal, no me gustan pa na los ultimos, tengo el Payback, Rivals, y el original de ps4, pero ni los juego, prefiero este juegazo, need for speed 3, una joya.
Rocky pass era mi favorita. Me gustaba jugar con una versión modificada jugando 8 opel Kadet gsi. Lo mejor que he jugado, máxima igualdad que no permitía ningún error. Super divertido 😄

Question I used to play this all the time on pc and just bought it for ps1 so I could play again but I can’t for the life of me figure out how to load track records etc, like nothing seems to want to save. I saved the records and settings but when I get back on there is never an option to load a save
