That help with where you hold the airbrush as when I finally was able to manage to do petals, I just have to keep reminding myself to GO SLOW.....thanks for showing multicoloured....I have done them with adding on top but never looks cohesive....thanks so much for sharing this video ! 😁💙💙💙
Hello from New Zealand I’m a watercolour artist and I’ve just seen your videos today I’ve gone out and bought myself little bottles whole lot of things to try your techniques can’t wait thank you so much
I'm just starting out with this, think I should go to simpler tutorial....lol I don't know what paska pens or snow cap is.....I really want to learn how to do these, I love the way they look...so I subscribed to them so I can come back to them after I learn the basics......thank you, your work is beautiful......
As I am just starting out to experiment with alcohol inks I love your work. I have subscribed to your channel and hope to learn so much more. Thank you for this video. Hugs!
Very beautiful and colors are good together. I hate it when you have almost all the petals done that look good the 1 goes wonky. I'm getting a little better but no where near you or some of the other AI artists. I'll keep practicing. I came across an artist from Denmark and she does nice work. Channel is Zimino Art. She doesn't talk but she shows you what she is doing and lists everything. She says she doesn't speak good English. She's very imaginative. Well hopefully my flowers will look like yours soon. I'd like to sell them at the flea market this summer to make a few extra bucks. Lol..thank you for your hard work and sharing with us.
Thank you so much for the kind words. That flower was looking so pretty until that last petal went rogue on me...I think I saved it...kind of. I am familiar with Zimino Art. She is indeed very creative and inspiring. Keep practicing and your flowers will be beautiful, I'm sure...and good luck at the market this summer!
So gorgeous… I’m trying to do this… it’s so much harder than you think you guys make it look easy.. thank you.. when you use the photo paper do you paint on the shiny side or the other side?
So beautiful. Thanks for taking the time to make these videos - they’re hypnotic. -When you dry the various sections, are you using a cool jet of air or hot/warm?
@@kjlodico9135 Yes it can, but I would first seal it with Krylon Kamar Varnish and Krylon UV Protection first. Then you can resin it without any bleeding or fading.
Thank you. I'm also wondering if alcohol ink can also be used on canvas without the ink soaking into the canvas. Have you tried this or do you know if this medium can be used successfully with alcohol ink?
@@kjlodico9135 I've been working on a 3x4' canvas using alcohol ink, posca pens and acrylic paint. You can see the progress on my Facebook page, Vivo Vintage Designs. You have to apply 2-3 coats of Kilz 2 primer and your inks will flow beautifully.
Well my friend and I tried photo paper was a total fail. On either gloss or Matt. I figured out why mine was but Liz was so bummed. Her photo paper was marked on the Matt side so she could not use it
What kind of dryer are you using. Also what brand is your air blower cause I just go one and all it gives out is 17psi, too weak, May ha e to returnity
Hi Lucille. Here are the links to the blow dryer and airbrush I use. The airbrush has an adjustable PSI and works very well. *Master Airbrush and compressor kit - amzn.to/2sMjGjq *Revlon dryer - amzn.to/2sHNwWa
Hi! Yes, on my video #19 I show how you can create flowers with a rubber lens cleaner (aka...a squeezy booger sucker thing..lol). You can also use compressed air in a can, however, I don't seem to have the control with it that I see many wonderful artist do.
Hi Michelle. Yes, it can be done on canvas. I have a couple of videos here where I've painted different flowers on canvas board. You first have to coat the canvas with kilz 2, which is a latex primer. The ink flows a little differently, but the results are equally as beautiful. As far as wood, I imagine if you use kilz2 first, it would work also. I usually do 2 coats of the kilz2.
Thank you for your instructions while you are painting.. you have helped me more than anyone.. i appreciate it very much..
😁 thank you.

So beautiful! I love the depth of both the petals and the center. Thank you.
Complete novice here but loved your flowers and especially the texture you gave the centres. Thank you.
Thank you Jen
I love these petals I think they are my favorite.❤️
Found this video very helpful. Many thanks 🙏
I'm so glad! 😊

Than'k you so much. I'd love to see how you do... please share with me on my Facebook page, Vivo Vintage Designs.

Posca pens are paint pens. Snow cap is a Ranger brand alcohol ink mixative 😊

This is so beautiful! Thank you for the inspiration. ❤

Pretty. You sound like the lady from Joggles where I bought my maribu inks. Lol.
thanks for such great step by step instruction!!!!
Lovely
Thank you very much, Can you please tell me how you seal the finished painting?
You're welcome! I spray 2-3 light coats of kamar varnish and then 2-3 light coats of kamar uv protection.
Thank you so much for this video-fabulous!!! Learning ......

Thank you! What kind of airbrush and compressor do you use? I looked on amazon and there are so many.
Thank you for a great tutorial.
Hi! thank you! What is the difference between yupo and ink jet photo paper?
Beautiful! Where can I buy the Revlon blower? I’ve looked everywhere. Thankyou.
Thanks. Here is the link to the one I use - *Revlon dryer - amzn.to/2sHNwWa
Beautiful work, thank you so much. I don't habe compressor, but love watching you work.
So gorgeous… I’m trying to do this… it’s so much harder than you think you guys make it look easy.. thank you.. when you use the photo paper do you paint on the shiny side or the other side?
Thank you. Use the matte side. The glossy side is designed to absorb ink when a photo is printed on it, so the ink will not flow nicely.
@@VivoVintageDesigns thank you i was using the wrong side…lol..
What kind of an compressor do you use with water trap?
Hi Neil. Check the description box just below the video for a list of all products used and links.
Hi Jeanette what is the KW of the hairdryer you are using please? have found your facebook site now following as i am just new.
Thank you nix. Just answered in your other comment.
so very much appreciated, i keep buying the wrong one here in Oz but maybe the Salvos one will work now
Cool
Thank you for this awesome presentation.
can alcohol inks be used to paint/dye silk scarves?
are you blowing it on the cool setting with the hair dryer?
The warm setting
Vivo Vintage Designs thank you!
So beautiful. Thanks for taking the time to make these videos - they’re hypnotic. -When you dry the various sections, are you using a cool jet of air or hot/warm?
Thank you😊. I use low warm air setting
@@VivoVintageDesigns Thanks a million. 🥰
Hello, your work is amazing. Can this technique be used on tile? Thank you :)
Thank you so much! Yes, this can be done on tile also...in fact, it may even work better.
@@VivoVintageDesigns And when the ink has dried, can it be sealed with epoxy resin without the ink bleeding?

Do you put alcohol first? To prep the paper?
Hi Mashka. No, I don't put down alcohol on the paper first to prep it.
Well my friend and I tried photo paper was a total fail. On either gloss or Matt. I figured out why mine was but Liz was so bummed. Her photo paper was marked on the Matt side so she could not use it
I use kirkland photo paper and have found that not all photo paper is good for alcohol ink.
do you use a special tip on the airbrush or is it just as it comes out of the box?
I use the one that was on it when I got it.
How far off the paper are u with the airbrush. I can’t find the sweet spot lol
I would say about 1 - 2 inches.
Would the multiple colors work if you pointed the air toward the petal end too?
Yes, just let the alcohol sit for a bit before blowing the petal out.
What paper are u using?

Is there a way to do this if you don’t have an airbrush?

Vivo Vintage Designs Thank you. I only have a hairdryer and a straw 😆
@@Everylittlething68Gail I tried a straw but ended up getting dizzy and blowing spittle all over the painting...lol🤢
Can ink art like this be done on canvas? If so is there a special kind? Can it be done on wood?
Hi Michelle. Yes, it can be done on canvas. I have a couple of videos here where I've painted different flowers on canvas board. which side of the photo paper do you use? glossy or not?
Hi Debra. You use the matte side. The ink will not flow on the glossy side as it is absorbed.
Is your snow cap white an alcohol ink?
Yes, its ai, but a mixative. Its thicker and more opaque than the regular ink.
What a gorgeous flower! 😍😍😍 Do you varnish your alcohol ink art afterwards or isn't it necessary if you going to frame it?
Thank you! If I'm selling it, giving it as a gift or framing it, it gets sealed. If not, I keep them in a plastic sleeve in a drawer unsealed.
Thank you so much for your answers! ❤🙏
