Your understanding of the Word of God is outstanding thank you Brother David. A number of years ago one of my 4 brothers was drunk and said to me “You’re a no good Christian (we were all altar boys in the RC church when we were young and it was terrible) and I wish you were dead!” One of my other brothers heard about it and said “He didn’t mean it he was drunk!” He was a high school teacher for 30 years and figured he knew EVERYTHING! I replied “Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh!” He said back to me “where did you get that and what do you mean” so I told him “It’s from The Word of God and it means essentially that the thing that he said was in his heart all along and it just slipped out because he was drunk and he could not contain it”. At that, he went nuts on me telling me to never quote scripture to him again. Imagine that eh! Love your wonderful teaching Brother David Thank you!❤
What about Roman's when it says we have become obdeint from the heart. We have become a slave of righteousness. The lost man still has a dark heart. God took out the heart of stone and gave us a new heart as believers.
Hi David - you mention inner man is the issue for question 2. Can I assume you are not referring to the new man which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness Eph 4:24. These are 2 seperate things right ? I always picture my inner man as the new man which doesnt have any issues at all as that is the imputed righteousness of Christ.
Great topic, David: if a lost person has a deceitful heart at the moment of believing in the blood of Christ is that person truly saved? Is it the words that saves us or is it the heart that saves us?
What’s true in time past is true today - no matter the dispensation....perhaps better to say that it is or isn’t “applicable today” - compounding truth and application can be confusing. All of the Bible is true, yes? Then why offer temptation to an unbeliever to suggest what was true once is no longer true today, versus simply saying what was once true is not applicable today.
Hello there. Aaaah. "Then why offer temptation to an unbeliever to suggest what was true once is no longer true today, versus simply saying what was once true is not applicable today."' Meaning?

@Francis Peter Sorry to hear of those unkind words. Scripture teaches us how to understand human behavior. Grace.
Jesus lives in our heart , and he doesn't live in dirty places.

What about in Romans chapter 7 when regarding sin the apostle Paul says no longer I that do it but sin at work in my members

Your 100% correct.

The moment a person believes on the Lord Jesus Christ, i.e. trusts in his shed blood for the payment of sin, he is saved.
Thank you! This was very helpful. Will you be posting the messages you do on facebook here on youtube also? Hopefully yes.
We might. We haven't decided yet. Feel free to tune in if you wish.
