Thank you so much for clarifying who fills in section 2 when selling a car. It is absolutely not clear on the form and DVLA just assumes that we know this. I have tried calling them and chatting with them on the we - IMPOSSIBLE!!!!

What should I do whereby I have listed the vehicle privately and someone has said they want to put the vehicle into trade on sale ? They have said to me they want to complete the yellow section, reading some conflicting info, do they fill the yellow section and give them the green slip and send the rest of the book off ?
They advised they would be able to complete this online with me on sale... just don't want to somehow get scammed

I have taken my private playe off before selling (DA). I have the original plate back on my car, and the V5 that I got with the car (SM). Do I need to wait for a new v5? Or can I use the V5 that I already had with the original number plate on it?
The basics are ... when you register property aka a car to the DVLA (gov agent ) you give them consent to crush/steal it if you don't play by there rules .. Registration translates 'surrender regis' . Albeit.... you do have equitable ownership of the car

On the bit it says changing car details if it’s just a colour you have to change you don’t have to fill in the rest just the colour
But it says the date of change but I bought the car off someone who is ready changed the colour

hello, i am a new buyer and have been given the green slip by the seller, do i need to send this to the DVLA? They said they are sending their part to the dvla but i am unsure if i need to send mine.

SORN is tax, it has nothing to do with the V5 document, You can unSORN your car by renewing your tax online using the DVLA website. 11-digit reference number from your V5

Make sure the new owner is aware that it’s SORN, all they will need to do is unSORN it the same way you would, hope this helps

I tried to unsorn my car but they were asking about new v5 details i did not receive my new logbook yet without receiving new logbook is it possible to unsorn my car.
You have it wrong. You have not stated the yellow section for a sale to a dealer
or you don't register the automobile as that's you handing it over to them, that's why they can take it of you like your house and kids. vehicle is a commercial term and only need a license if your using it for commercial use, I don't think we are using it like a bus or cab are we, we are travelling.
