Prescription for a Healthy Home doesn’t recommend carpet in general, but I’m trying to find a less toxic option for my parents who want carpet. This one seems to be a decent option. “Green Label Plus certified, Airo also is a family-friendly choice, according to the company. Airo eliminates the “new carpet smell.” Treated with Mohawk’s Fresh Carpet Technology, Airo continually purifies the home by neutralizing odors. Also moisture cannot be absorbed into the fiber, backing or cushion-a significant factor in reducing odor.” Also it comes with the backing attached and won’t delaminate.”
I'm extremely sensitive to smell I only have the 12x12 it's still in my living room and it's the changing times Marriott like a gray speckled which I would recommend but I've yet to put it in the bedroom and I need to order a second piece for the living room I'm trying to decide on a different style like new beginnings but then I'll have a different style and a different color I would say I have pets I would say go with something like changing times or fresh start cuz you get the speckled it'll resist any stains I have a cat that vomits it comes right up and me we were trying to find where he vomited we couldn't even find it! My gray cat and her gray furballs just blended right in there It's very hard and then when you go to clean it it just comes right up! But because my feet hurt I wanted to get the thicker New beginnings cuz I have a great deal on it for the living area and I'm scared to get the lighter shades. And I want it order my second piece so I can finally do my one bedroom that I've been in since July
No smell when you unwrap it you might notice something but a day or two later I mean you don't notice anything. Now I don't know how the tape is cuz I haven't tried to use I don't even think I'll be getting the tape that goes with it I might have to buy something on Amazon. But it seems to want to lay flat but again with pets I feel like I should have it taped down but the gentleman I bought the carpet from I don't think he's going to include the tape and since I'm in a one-bedroom with just two smaller pieces I don't think I'm going to need the tape but I'm going to look and see what they have on Amazon My carpet won't be under warranty as I'm getting it as a seconds from somebody still new carpet he just happened to have a lot of it
Hi Spencer! I am not sure. :) I have spot cleaned with water spills before and the area still felt moist to the touch after. I am not sure if that was moisture that was on top of the fibers or if the fibers can retain the moisture.
Hey guys, I sell Air.o carpet at my shop and that stuff is gold. The entirety of the carpet is waterproof, you can literally submerge the carpet in water, leave it for a day, take it out, dry it and it'll keep it's form. You still need to remove the carpet around the bigger water spill or leaks, dry the area and dry the carpet to ensure a dry carpet. The best part of the carpet is that moisture does not lock in, thus preventing growth and bad odors. The only downfall of the carpet and it's a small downfall is longevity, and of course that's dependent of the use over time. Perfect carpet for the basement.

Looks good. Does it crush or mat down in spots?
Your patchwork looks good ... the piece up next to the stairs is quarter turned....
Hi Randy! Good eye! I used the leftover scrap I had to fill in and you are correct that to do so I had to 1/4 turn at least 1 piece...if not two.
Volume too low!! Turned all the way up & I can't hear him
Thanks for the video! How’s the durability seeming to hold up now?
I don't have regrets about the purchase. There is some wear but nothing I would deem excessive.
Can I ask what style color you used?
Hi there, I'm looking for more reviews about this carpet. How is it holding up now? Did it have any strong smells when you first installed it?
Given that I have 4 children and now a golden retriever I can't complain. There is wear but we are about as hard on the carpet as could be imagined. 😀

What style and color is the carpet? Looks good!
Sorry, I don't recall the color. At the time I bought it there weren't many options with the Mohawk Air.O.
What color is the carpet? Is it new beginnings or fresh start?
I wish I could tell you. I don't remember!
Is the carpet waterproof at all? Just curious because of the material. Thanks
