Out of the three adventures that were written for the Ghostbusters RPG (rather than for Ghostbusters International), I really liked Scared Stiffs the best, and it really seemed like a sequel, with Venkman and the rest turning up for a guest appearance.
Been ages since I ran it, but my memory is that it is straightforward enough with little scope for straying away from the plot, but as with all Ghostbusters adventures it's a load of fun.
I think that's definitely possible as long as you keep it moving and don't let your players linger, which is good advice for Ghostbusters anyway as it should be fun and fast moving.

This is definitely legit, and definitely fun, and what more could you ask for from a Ghostbusters RPG than that.
