Pretty interesting hearing the difference between the English Demo and this version. Here, Light shows some doubt at first, then imagines a brighter and better world before slipping into madness. In the English version it's just Rain, Wind, VENGEANCE, Hurricane!

To be fair, the English version is only a demo version. If this ever came to America, they would probably change the song to be more like this

Then there's the Korean version, that one is my personal favorite

@@Carnival_wilson191 Interestingly enough, I am to understand that the English version is the original, even if it wasn't ever produced. So my guess is that they would stick with the original score.

"Hurricane" made more sense within the context of the original story: the monologue occurred in the rain, after his second kill. With the notebook, he believes himself to be like a force of nature, cleansing the world in the harshest way he can imagine.
Seeing how the song was changed to "Death Note" (the Korean version titled it as such, at least, though the lyrics are consistent with the Japanese version), and it's used during his first kill, it kinda made sense that he wasn't completely committed to his apparently call to action just yet, whereas "Hurricane" Light was already working on the roadmap since "Where Is The Justice" and just went "LET'S GET DOWN TO BUSINESS...TO BECOME...JUSTICE!" once his kill was confirmed.

I love the english version but here you can also hear more the emotions in it and it's also interesting the difference between the English lyrics and the Japanese translated to English, at how different it is.

The Japanese lyrics are more accurate in essence.
