Do you think the Supra will pick up power from the Active Autowerke Catted Downpipe without a tune?

Supposedly does. By 30whp or so. With a tune, another story.

Helpful video...I have this DP on order. So did you need to remove the cross brace and loosen or completely remove the exhaust to facilitate the install?

You do not need to remove any cross brace or completely remove the exhaust. I disconnected the exhaust hanger on the passenger side of the transmission. That gave me enough play to push the exhaust system back to free up the down pipe. Let me know if you have any other questions or need some more clarification.

I'm following so I can hear the sound. I have been torn between a catted Active Autowerks at their $1,400 price point or going with a 200 cell downpipe at a $400 price point. I don't care about the No CEL Guarantee because once I get around to tuning MHD or BM3 it gets rid of the CEL. What are your thoughts?

There definitely is a huge sound difference with the Active Autowerkes Catted downpipe. I will try and capture some sound in my AA downpipe follow up video.
I weighed my options as well before deciding to go with the AA downpipe. I thought the No CEL Guarantee was important to me because of a few reasons. Unfortunately, times change and we don't know what the future holds. The EPA has been cracking down on "Emissions Defeat Devices" and companies like Cobb Tuning (April 2022) and ECUTEK (April 2023) have been targeted, so they no longer support turning off emissions related CELs. Burger Motorsports with their JB4 also removed the feature to turn off emissions related CELs.
With that being said. I have a 2021 that does not support a full unlock from FEMTO and I feel that the partial unlock at this time might not be worth it since I can't utilize all the features of a MHD or BM3 flash tune, The way the EPA is going, I don't know what companies may be able to support turning off emissions related CELs in the future. For this reason I chose the "No CEL Guarantee" for my build.
If you have a 2020 or a 2021 Supra with a DME date before June 2020, you have good options to run whatever downpipe you want and tune with MHD or BM3. I would only say, how long will that option be available if the EPA puts pressure on MHD or BM3?

@@grumpyvetgarageI have a 2023 Supra 6MT so I'm in the partial unlock Femto MHD or BM3 camp. Those are points I never considered regarding EPA cracking down. I guess even if they do it's years from now that a smoke check is needed for a new car or if someone has to have a check engine light on at all times, they can frequently plug in their OBD2 reader to make sure its still the cat and nothing new. Can you tune BM3 Stage 2 with an Active Autowerke catted downpipe?

You can run the BM3 Stage 2 tune with the Active Autowerke catted downpipe. A catless downpipe will net you more power with a lower price point. I went catted because I can still achieve my power goals and maintain the emissions compliance. Ultimately, you need to decide what is best for your build and situation.

Please make sure to do a dragy run 0-60 with this downpipe. Should be an increase of 30whp, unlike the intakes which definitely is a lie

Definitely doing a dragy run. Been driving it around the last few days. The power and sound increase is noticeable. I expect an improvement in 0-60 and 1/8th mile.
