Thanks very much for the video! I am going to ship my very first chest of drawers, and your video really helps! I'll take it as an instruction for my packing :)
Great video but if it's being shipped thru a shipping company they will load it with other freight and may place heavy objects on top of it so I recommend buying 2 by 4's and building a frame around product before adding cardboard and that will keep it from getting crushed
Hi, great video. Can I ask where do you get yours packing supplies and what company do you use to ship? Can you say how much you sold the piece for and how much did you pay for packing supplies and shipping cost (and does the sale price absorb this cost or do you add this cost when purchased)? I'm starting a refinish furniture Etsy business and am having problems with this.
Hi Middy, I collect old card boxes from an industrial zone when needed, so they are for free. Bubble and wrap film are buyed in a DIY store. I include the price and time of packing in the shipping cost. Consider I'm in Spain so I can't recommend any company for you. This desk sold in 160 euros and was shipped 600 km. The costumers paid the shipping and it was about 60 EUR moving in the same country.
I am a little surprised to see you put shrink wrap on instead of bubble wrap. Does the shrink wrap give enough protection ? Would bubble wrap be better ? I love the way you build your box and everything looks very professional.
Great video, thanks for posting. Looks like somebody has done this before. Thorough and precise, no wasted energy...great job!
