The turning point for Logan's character started when he broke down crying over his mother in Veronica's arms.
I remember hating him viciously, then slowly growing confused and absolutely loving him at that moment.
Yep... we love Logan now
To be fair, Veronica calls Logan the school's "Obligatory Psychotic Jackass" in the pilot. And he lives up to it for most of the first season.
It's really cool how much this character evolves and matures throughout the years. It's been a slow but smooth journey for Logan. I can't wait until season 5.
Veronica, on the other hand, is quite stagnant. She never truly dealt with her traumas (mostly her mom stuff and of course Lilly being killed) and she still subconsciously blames the whole world for them. That's why it's so difficult for her to imagine a family life, whereas Logan - who has been abused by his father, abandoned by his mother, is a son of a murderer - learns to distinguish those experiences from the present and knows that he and Veronica can create their own story.
Meh. Until his mom dies, which is around the 10th Ep or so. So not too bad. He was beginning to soften a bit before that, though.

Yes he is an amazing actor and seriously underrated.
I used to "dislike" Logan's character but he went through amazing character growth.. now I dislike s4's cheep ending 🙄😒
It's not cheap. It's what gets Veronica to stop holding onto her wounds for dear life and finally start to grow as an adult. Until this point, she was the exact same person emotionally and trust-wise as she was in high school. But now she's in her 30's, so she's emotionally stunted and dismissive of his growth. I loved Logan's personal growth and was sad to see him go, but this propels her forward for (hopefully) season 5.
The whole concept of the show has been a Noir detective show. One of the main concepts (among others) of Noir is that there is no happy ending. No win is a clear win, and sometimes a "win" is actually a loss in the bigger scheme. Lilly's murder was what initially drove her. That's been pretty much outgrown (There were even posts before S4 broadcast saying 'why is she still hung up on that'). The ending fit perfectly for the type of show VM is. Until that, it seemed like it was going to be Keith that got killed. The ending was tragic, as it should be, but it was not cheap. It fit perfectly for anyone that understood what the show ALWAYS was. I Love LOVE, but the concept of the show was not romance.

@@sunflower8075 She hasn't grown up emotionally since age 17 because of Beaver? Please, Beaver wasn't a commitment trauma, it was a sexual assault - and Veronica has no issues with sex, as we've seen with this past season. Sadly, Veronica had to lose her true love to finally learn to not hold onto the past. Everyone has damage.
@@tartfuel No I meant losing Logan right after the wedding. A sudden traumatic death of a loved one is not easily shaken off. I disagree that it propels her forward - trauma mostly holds people back. The show also doesn't really show her getting over being emotionally stunted - it only shows her escaping Neptune at the end. LOL - we could debate this forever but sadly no Season 5 to see what happens.
But Jason Dohring’s Logan is the best character, imo - at least one of the best. He goes from bad guy/bully to hero to martyr. Not too bad. 😬
I didn’t like Logan for a while, but I noticed that his heart was always in the right place, he just didn’t know how to go about it

Because I am 100% sure they just made it look like it happened but it didn't. Rob is a better write than that.
However, I found the delivery of the ending... interesting. It felt so rushed! Like they had 3 minutes of screen time and 15 minutes of writing material left. But I enjoyed nonetheless.
Logan’s character had the best character development. Maybe better than Dean Winchester.

Who are these people that hated Logan, him and Veronica were the show. The only reason most of us put in for the movie was for Veronica and LOGAN!!! Like who are these people, who are these Logan haters? He’s had the most character growth out of all the characters. I’ve been team Logan since season 1 that’s all I gotta say. Good luck with season 5 idk how that’ll work. I know there are A LOT of us that absolutely don’t want to watch a season of Veronica Mars that doesn’t include Logan. Okay now I’m done.

I went to a fan meet and greet after the first season in nyc and the only cast member who was shitty was the guy who played wallace. Jason was lovely, and he was super nice to me but maybe that's because other people weren't 🤷🏽♀️

@@iamsultana everyone else was nice, they signed my poster, took a pic and said one or two words to me at least. The guy who played wallance never made eye contact with me and refused to sign my poster.

Reguarless of the outcome of seadon 4 , Veronica Mars must go on. And rob thomas does not want the show getting stale. The shoe must go on please.
Still hoping to hear news of a season 5. Of course, after that, I will want a season 6, 7,8. I'm thinking they could easily do 10 seasons (if they keep stirring the pot, changing things up and treat each season like the first) and a few reunion movies, like they used to do for Kojak and Columbo.
