To help control postpartum bleeding, it’s methylergonovine that you’ll be needing, but you’ll need to delay breastfeeding and discard the milk in the 12 hours post admin proceeding. It also helps deliver the placenta, aiding healing and postpartum wellbeing 😎
Very good!!! I like it 😊
Shakespeare would tip his hat at this beautiful Ode.
Hey guys, Dr. Luther is the Nclex solution be it RN or PN. I just passed the Nclex RN with great help from him on my 5th attempt
GOAT material 😎
For methylergonovine- vine as in grape vine or wein pronounce as 'vine' (German word), meaning wine. I associate the suffix with spilt wine, which can be messy and red.
To remember methylergonovine is for postpartum hemorrhage, if you know ergotamine is a vasoconstrictor, that helps. You can also think of the "gono-vine" as a 'gina-vine constricting and reducing the bleeding.
Hey guys, I worked with Dr Luther, and I passed my Nclex RN in my 3rd attempt he has got all the material and study plan to take pass the nclex be it RN or PN.
I advise everybody preparing for the nclex to contact him
I think another big thing about methylergonovine is that it is contraindicated for women with HTN
Yes, you are correct. I was also wondering why a medication that treats bleeding will be contraindicated to HTN?
@@brendafache5489 Hey! Methylergonovine maleate is an ergot alkaloid used to promote uterine contractions and prevent hemorrhage. It causes smooth muscle vasoconstriction that's why it's contraindicated with HTN.

@@brendafache5489methylergonovine can vasoconstrict so if you have HTN you already are dealing with vasoconstriction so it could elevate it more/ worsen the HTN :)
4:50 "If your uterus is on the decline, use some methylergoneoVINE, and your bleeding will be fine"
oh this is a good one
Its also called Methergine ( common name used in India) for this medication( Methylergonovine)
I used MET-HER-VINE for Methylergonovine to help me remember that its given AFTER delivery of the placenta (placenta serving as the "vine" for life to baby) & to monitor/assess for bleeding postpartum.
This is probably crazy but I’m just pulling strings here for the drug Methylergonovine…I immediately saw the letters “ER” and “GO” so I thought maybe go to the er if you are in a bind (vine) for hemorrhaging…just gotta remember the post partum part…lol it’s a long shot but might work?!?
Great! I love it
I failed 3 times, i lost money to reviews that never helped but the major thing is that l've not lost hope.
@@lorientheresa4844 You will pass Every one has their own season, just keep going, pray and believe you will receive.
Nclex test is really frustrating, I can't believe I failed again after studying so much. 🤦♂️💔😭
Wow!!!! congrats and thanks for the encouragement words for all the people who have not take the NCLEX yet. yes, it is a crazy test for sure. I also used Mrs ELISABETH HELEN review material's. - I studied for 1 week and my test shut off at question 78. I cried too when I got my results. PASS
How I remember methylergonovine…
I just remember METHotrexate is given along with Misoprostol for a Medical abortion, which will cause you to bleed. So, I associate METHylergonovine with bleeding.
Methylergonovine I think of GO NO grapes bleeding off the Vine, I don’t know why but it worked for me.
The vines of a plant are like the veins of the body and in the name methylergonivine there is Go-No -Vine. Methylergonovine says go-no-vine for mothers in decline
Dr Sharon me gusto mucho como explica
Thank you Dr Sharon🙏🏾.
Might be far-fetched but just thought this up for Methylergonovine: Used for post-partum hemmorhage..... VINE makes me think of GRAPES which also resemble the piles seen with HEMMORHOIDS (also common in pregnancy).... so if I can think of HEMORRhoids I can think of HEMORRhaging.... lol... whatever works, right?
Whoa! To be a fly on the wall inside you head lol!

Oh my crampy hemorrhage (oxytocin, methergine, cytotec, hemabate) meds for postpartum hemorrhage ❤ (one of my professors told me this in nursing school)
I guess you could associate the "vine" in methylergonovine by thinking of the umbilical cord as a vine
Thank u Dr. SHaron
I learn a lot in 13 minutes. Thanks
Thanks for being a member!
hello dr sharon epoetin cause htn and headache is one of sign of htn .please expalin that option
Thank you
methergine easier to remember than methylergonovine
Methylergonovine-- think vine--> placenta is like a vine for the baby (even looks vine like)--> once the placenta leaves the body--> change of hemorrhage
For methylergonovine think heirloom tomatoes grow on a vine. Heirloom = Hemorrhage . Vine = methylergonoVINE
that epoetin question is flat out tricky
Thanks for video
GO WINE GO METHYL is the easiest way to remember it :)
how does methylergonovine help with the delivery of the placenta? I'm unclear about that sry
if you have chronic kidney disorder wouldnt you refrain from taking tylenol?
No, avoid Tylenol with liver disease, avoid NSAIDS with kidney disease

Methylergonovine=meth=drug=.. drug user hallucinating about a vine growing around them constricting and squeezing them=contractions
That’s good 😂
Stop takin meth to prevent bleeding lol
