    I PASSED MY NCLEX ON 6/21/2022 with 75 questions I felt overprepared because my nursing school exams was way harder than NCLEX. Simple nursing helped me ALOT I was listening to simple nursing vids right before my exam. I prayed that I dnt get EKG strip but I got one and the answer was obvious. I did ALL uworld questions TWICE, did ALL archer questions 1.5times, did Saunders 7th edition practice exam questions did most questions while in nursing school, listened to ALL Mark Klimek vids, listened to all of summit college vids on RUclips, my school was having me doing 300 practice questions a day😒 GOODLUCK I Hope this helped someone. SIMPLE nursing will help you with ATI,HESI and NCLEX. The truth is tht all the practice questions will prepare you for NCLEX but when u sit there u will def need fundamental knowledge and application the exam is not hard but you have to know what everybody else knows

    Just passed my NCLEX today at 81 questions on my 1st attempt! :) What I did to study was did 93% of the questions on Uworld, mainly focusing on the explanations because I felt that is where the learning takes place! Side note with Uworld in my opinion, it gave me great foundation on knowledge but the NCLEX is mainly critically thinking skills and what the nurse can do to give the patient the best outcomes even if you do not what the answer is! My overall average on Uworld Qbank was 57%! I also watched Simple Nursing Videos to brush up on topics and I felt this was a major help when figuring out priority interventions on the NCLEX! Lastly I did all 3 the CAT exams on Kaplan and got an overall Green for each exam! Best advice is to stay focused/ consistent on your studies on work on critically thinking skills and expect outcomes! Good luck!

    For this question around 7:16, I thought you just said the priority action is Vagal maneuver, then Adenosine, then synchronized cardioversion. I assume it is like the most effective method and you make it sound necessary in any situation when SVT rhythm had been identified (kind of like how a patient should go to the ER with any doses of nitroglycerin regardless), but I'm confused with how cardioversion is the priority action when it was 3rd on the pathway; for lack of a better term.

    A few important corrections:
    - Procainamide is *not* part of the current ACLS algorithm for management of VF/Pulseless VT.
    - Digoxin is, at best, a 4th line drug for rate control of atrial fibrillation (after calcium channel blockers, beta blockers, and amiodarone)
    - The most common cause of torsades is not low Mg, but rather QT prolonging medications. Congenital long QT syndrome is another important cause. Myocardial infarctions and hypoxia do *not* cause torsades in the absence of one of these other factors.

    For SVT ("Kaplan Question")- I'm confused why the priority action is synchronized cardioversion if we do least invasice first ? Is it because the clients vital signs are becoming very unstable?

    • @queenJ444
      @queenJ444 2 года назад

      *least invasive* ... as in vagal manuever .... adenosine ... then synchronized cardioversion...

    • @brandon9202
      @brandon9202 2 года назад +1

      Cardioversion is first if they are unstable because you want to maintain cardiac output. Adenosine is used if they are stable because it slows down the HR enough to identify the problem. I think you would want to avoid flatlining the patient for up to 6 seconds if they are already having issues with cardiac output.

    I thought I was having lung spasms (du to my Alpha 1) or stomach spasms. I went to my PC a couple weeks ago to tell her about it.
    But my blood pressure has been steadily dropping to around 90/60
    She sent me for an EKG and Echocardiogram after listening to my heart.
    I made the joke about the EKG taking longer to set up than preform and asked how it could detect anything in such a short time.
    He then showed me 5 heart arythmias in that short time.
    I had my echo and go get my heart halter monitor tomorrow..
    I'm not sure how this is going to end, but I was never thinking it was my heart acting up.
    I'm glad I saw my PC.

    For all you nurses trying to take the NCLEX. Ever heard of sleep medicine? I know I didn't until I was in the medical field for many years. Skip schooling get trained to do an EEG/EKG job that typically pays the exact same as an rn without having to deal with the fun ratios nurses have. Ie 12 patients a night ie non stop charting ie dealing with pain PA's that suck at their job. Js Might be for you. Rpgst is so easy to get and takes no college just a step
