Wow - just found this. Usually watch the Glastonbury version. This is amazing enthusiasm from Shirley and great hair. This must be close to the studio version recording time of When I Grow Up judging from the look, hair and moves. Just wish I could understand what's she's singing at 4:20 until the end.
not gonna lie, I find the 'aol you've got mail ish' sound during the chorus pretty fxcking annoying lol it reminds me of a ringtone. But love them here. And I agree Shirley is a fireball, love her energy.
Sorry guys,, I love a lot of the music you make,,but the WAY over-emphasized synth in this song ruins it, stick with the two guitar sound. Also, as an aside, after Shirl got famous, the constant hair-up look is not near as sexy. The short skirts and tall combat boots and hair down makes you want her,,and lets face it,isn't that a large part of their appeal?? ,,,The hair up look keeps me away from watching their newer stuff here and elsewhere. Just one fans opinion,,take it or leave it,,,no worries.
