I side with Mike regarding the debate on Jane’s limits. Don’t get me wrong: I do agree that she is her own person and understands her own abilities better than anyone. However, whether Max admits it or not she’s relying too much on powers that she doesn’t have. Mike knows her longer, and he’s seen the kind of toll her powers have taken on her. At least he’s concerned for her well-being. Other than that, I would just like to say that drugged Steve is my favorite funny moment of the entire season.
11 doesn't understand her abilities. She is getting more proficient and more powerful but that doesn't mean she knows her limits or if she is doing permanent damage to her brain.
Same. Even assuming she _does_ know her own internal limits best... El is under a lot of pressure to keep her loved ones safe, and who under those circumstances _wouldn't_ push themselves just a little too hard - even if it risked permanent harm on themselves - to save the people they love? In those times, it is ABSOLUTELY the job of those loved ones to remind them that their health and safety are important too. Mike is doing what a good boyfriend should do and thinking of El's well-being while she's unable to be objective about it.
The CONSTANT nosebleeds really get me on this show haha. Like, since about episode 4. It's nice they're paying lip service to the unknown risks in this episode but the fact is, something that in most shows with psychic powers means "oh shit, you've overused your powers and now you're going to die" has just been here nonstop since day 1 and nobody has given it a second thought. The size of the pile of bloody tissues shows you how much effort a given task is taking, but as far as the show has portrayed it it just seems like the worst it ever gets is Eleven gets worn out and needs to recharge.
Yeah, El is her own person but she's also new to friends and standing up for herself. Peer pressure is a huge thing, and especially with someone like Max in her ear it's not hard to imagine El pushes herself too far to please them. At least having someone backing her up should let El know she can stop pushing as hard.
I did not recognize the reference, but once she named JCool (the underappreciated rival to JLaw and JLo and...Jennifer Garner) I agree it was dead on haha
If you think this is gross, then you aren't ready for season 4, it's even more scarier and gross to. But it's amazing! Things get far more stranger in season 4.

That's why Billy is so hateful his mom left him with his abusive Dad she didn't save him too she just left and saved herself and never came back he doesn't know where she is and is being raised by his dad so he turned out just like him and he hates the move even worse because now he has no chance of finding his mom he is no longer is California and is stuck in Hawkins for now and he takes his anger out on Max because he is there because of his dad marrying her mom and Max understands him in that way because she didn't want to leave her dad either but at least she knows where her dsd is Billy doesn't he cant go visit her, he feels abandoned by her and abused by his dad.

I really wish the Russian base looked less like the interior of the Death Star and more like just exposed concrete walls and cables. It would help with adding some believability. Because this season went OTT.
Steve and Robin being tortured by the Russians was completely removed from my mind. I think there's a tie between season two and season three being the least liked for many people. Season 2 is my least favorite because it has a Star Trek ending where all the problems are solved the last 4 minutes of the show. Elle shows up and takes out the monster in like 2 minutes.😁
