What about his Secret Service protection? From what I know of their procedure, the facility would be completely locked down, no fly zone, no unauthorized entrance, even for employees. Rikers would be emptied for the time the Trump is there. If Merchan is that stupid, just give Trump the Oath then and there.

You do know that if Trump goes to jail/prison, they would have to clear the whole wing out, at the least of all the inmates there.
Not just a wing, but the entire facility. Total lockdown. No fly zone over the city. All inmates moved elsewhere, all guards vetted and/or dismissed. I would guess that the SecServ would bring in vetted Federal Guards to run the facility for however long Trump would be there. It would be a logistical nightmare...one that Merchan would cause.
