Join me on an another railway exploration as we see trains at Eden Hills, a rather picturesque railway station on the Belair suburban railway line in the Adelaide Hills.
Eden Hills opened in 1883 on the Adelaide to Nairne railway section of the line to Melbourne. The historic railway station buildings were demolished in 1984. The second platform was closed and demolished in 1995 when the freight train track was converted to standard gauge.
One unique feature of this station is that it is the only railway station on the network to have tunnels on both sides of the station.
