ive watched so many versions and this one will always be my favorite, the pacing is perfect the charachters arent too exaggerated the actors are amazing. not to mention that the music is the best of all of them
Glad I found this! We open in a couple of weeks, and I'm struggling with lines because our rehearsal process has been very disjointed...this gives me a sense of the continuity of the show, and where my lines (I'm playing Captain Scott) come in the whole thing, so I can get used to saying them in the flow of things. Excellent work! This was thoroughly enjoyable, even if I didn't have other motives for watching it.
My schools doing it in the fall. Hoping to go 2/2 in leads so far 🤞 Update: i auditioned for boy and black stache and got Mrs. Bumbrake. My director said the stupid accent i did was hysterical and i also got understudy for boy. The girl who got boy is a senior and the director said that there was no other role she would’ve been good for. So… im not happy about it but im gonna steal the show as Bumbrake so

I read this book in elementary school and have all 4 of them and today on May 2nd 2024 my high school is doing this as a mini play but I had no idea this was a play
I want to audition for this play in a couple weeks and I have literally no experience with theater but I was in a choir for 3 years (which I know is very different but it’s still singing idk) does anyone have any tips?? i’ve wanted to get into musical theater for a while but just been too afraid to do so.
No because professional actors usually don't have mics Edit: I understand, my teacher before informed me wrong but since then I have expanded my knowledge of the theater world. Thank you though to those who corrected my mistake.
@@spiritdreamer7974Where did you hear that from? Usually it’s smaller school or community productions that don’t have mics, either because of budget or the venue is just small enough that the audience is close enough to hear everything. Bigger stages like Broadway or off-Broadway need mics, because the venue is so big. You can only project your voice so much, and when you’re doing 8 shows a week, you can’t be pushing your voice too hard or you’ll risk damaging it.
Great recording. The only annoying this who ever is eating something with a wrapper. Even tho the person is trying to be quiet. Actors can still hear it and its so distracting and disrespectful. I would have said something to that person
Stache in this play is meant to be full of flamboyant and funny word play. This play is foremost a comedy, so it only makes sense to make the antagonist funny.

They skipped over Mack's line in scene three! I know that because that's my role in my current production of Peter and the Starcatcher
I'm Slank, Mermaid and a mollusk it's so fun but such a weird show

They likely have one hidden under their wigs!
@@spiritdreamer7974 that’s a lie that teachers love to tell most professional theaters (yes broadway) have mics
Yeah, in some close-up shots you can see them peeking out over their ears.

why is it just starcatcher when the book is peter and the starcatchers
I think it’s because the series focuses on the Starcatchers as a whole, while the productions is mainly about Peter and Molly- a singular starcatcher

This is awful. I’m actually confused. Are they supposed to be funny?
I agree ,what a way of ruin a great book !
well they all worked hard so just keep that to yourself??
Why have they turned the villain into a stupid ,effeminate guy ? He was supposed to be scary
it is supposed to be funny! and captain hook in the og Disney movie had a lot of character and this is not supposed to be like the book btw
